6:34 You said those sides are glued, but they are not. They are just held by a tab. At 6:34 you pry off the end piece. If you first pry off the end piece, you can then push the tabs for the side pieces, much easier. Yes, the two halves are glued, but the side metal pieces are not.

Thanks for the video! There is an easier way to open the last key. After you remove the top metal end you can insert a flat head and carefully pry/rotate, the plastic seam should crack open and no need for knife/cutting. Hope this helps
Hi. Does it effect the infraredligjt if microchip is fine but the battery part on the back where is 4 small metal pinns that goes to the chip and one metal pinn is missin. So there is only 3 metal pinns

Thats not to change the battery. He’s showing how to remove the board. The last one has the easiest battery change. That black plastic piece on the back just pops off if you’re only changing the ebattery

I dropped my 08 Benz key the last one you took Apart when I was on my bike and it got ran over and the back and battery popped off but the key isn’t crushed but it won’t work and I don’t wanna pay Mercedes 400 dollars and a lock smith is 450 to make a new One. They said unless I can start the car with the key then it’s 250. Car won’t start so thinking maybe something on circuit board got messed up ?
With the last key this guy is so stupid!!! inside is a little plastic slide to remove whole things pull out the all interior, easiest key, big secret !

I tried opening one once, using my Tonya Harding 3000. Ended up smashing it to pieces, unfortunately.

Panic button doesn’t work, but alarm does continues until battery removed
Put some heat shrink tubing over the jaws of your pliers to prevent damaging the board. May save your butt one day.
