I have a few Longchamp bags that shows tags Made in France and Romania and those were authentic as I purchased them from Longchamp store in Paris and Germany

All my longchamps, bought from longchamp boutique, Paris are "made in France"..
Great info but some of the bags are Made in France. Made as well in China,Tunisia & a couple of other places as well I have 3 bags purchased from Longchamp Boutique that were made in France The nylon can feel a slight bit different depending on where it was made as well but all other features are identical

Oh man, a big mistake on her part. They ARE made in France! Many people look for those :)
It's getting hard to spot fake nowadays since they outsource from different countries now. Had I not purchased it directly from their website I could easily passed it as fake. Mine was made in china and vietnam and the differences are unbelievably huge. From the leather to nylon and the stamping not a bit identical.

Watched this by chance this morning and guess what I found at the bins today and was able to authenticate!!! A LE PLIAGE ORIGINAL Travel bag expandable Tote!!!! It was missing it's shoulder strap but I snatched one with matching gunmetal hardware off another tote... it's not the brown but black it it goes ok with the purple color (which is a discontinued color). LOVE LOVE LOVE! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Great question! They are known to use different metal colors on their zipper pulls including gold and silver tones as well as rhodium.
they are made in France and Tunisia. Don’t pass them up if made in those countries. The inside snap should be marked pyrthym too. I own three with China France and Tunisia some are also made in Romania.

Gina, that's a GREAT question!! I work with a local children's boutique near me that I love to shop at. They order their items from a wholesaler that sends them their stock in plastic bags. Originally, they would toss them in the trash and I asked if they would mind saving them for me so I could reuse them and recycle them for my preowned Ebay inventory. It's a win/win! I get free bags and they feel good about keeping them out of the landfill just a little bit longer! Plus, they help protect my items during shipment.
I'll bet that there is a local store near you that would save bags for you too! I find that closing stores have the best sizes for me.

This will sell for about $25-$60 depending on condition.
I got mine at Harrods in London and it’s made in France.

The snap button of your bag has "stripes" radiating from the center. I believe that in genuine bags, the snaps do NOT have these stripes. Pls confirm.

I have a bag that fits all the authenticity checks and compares to my other real bags but there isn’t a tag inside. I think I ordered it from Nordstrom or it may have been a gift from 2012-2013 ish. I found it while cleaning my closet and haven’t used it much due to the shorter handles. I can’t find anything saying a tag makes or breaks the authenticity. Help please

I have huge question: new le pliage bags have two inner pockets (purchased from store by people i know so real) but does anyone know if also the handles are different? Specifically the tags that attach them to the bag. Are they bigger??? Help a lost lady here I'm going mad over this 😂

Everything on mine looks authentic, except that it doesn’t have an interior tag 😢 could it still be real?
Interior tags are pretty important. I’d ask an authenticator to look at it if you still feel like it meets all the other criteria.

What are the bins at Goodwill?
The bins are the Goodwill Outlet. There, they sell items by-the-pound. Its stuff that goodwill didn’t sell in the retail stores, or is too damaged to put on the shelves, or donations that they simply didn’t have time to process because of the large numbers of donations. The Outlet (the bins) is the last stop before going to the landfill.
What is the real real and how does that work?
Great question!
The Real Real is a consignment website where you can send your name brand items for resale or to have authenticated. They have a list of brands that they accept on their website and I have sent things to them before on consignment. They had this particular bag and confirmed its authenticity.

Please upgrade your information for those that are seeking to find authentic. Having "Made in France" is NOT an indicator of a fake or dupe. I have many from Nordstroms or purchased in France and the tag says Made in France.
