It really is an effort by all, a 'perfect storm': Kobametal, the girls and Mikiko and the audience to get this result after it has been only performed at 2 small venues before and get everyone in the venue involved.
I should add, decades of experience and tying into traditions from different music genres/cultures: like Japanese idol culture and Japanese culture in general and metal/rock culture.
Welcome to another BABYMETAL experience. The whole concept of BABYMETAL was built around the lead singer Suzuka Nakamoto or Su-metal when she was about 10 yrs old, and the genius producer Kei Kobyashi saw her when she performed in a trio of girls. Adding two little angels for scream and dance BABYMETAL was created way back in 2010. They performed at small shopping malls and festival venues infront of tiny crowds with only backing tracks with no money for costumes for around two years of performing, actors in skeleton costumes pretended to play instruments with the inclusion of the Kami Band late 2012. The Kami Band were interchangeable session musicians, some of the very best in Japan who were more than happy to work with very talented teenagers (which could have spelt the end of their careers!!) and toured the world for which the Kami Band said they were forever grateful. There is a ton of history and many vids so enjoy #notacult
Sólo cortaron la mayor parte del extenso "We are ?? 🤘🦊
Great reaction once again! This is an epic classic, and their staple show closer for almost a decade now. This particular performance was Jan 2015. Babymetal's stage presence is amazing and even more incredible that these three 17/15-year old teenagers is able to control a 20K sold out crowd. Bonifide stage generals. Here's a few more suggestions to show you Babymetal's range: *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* 10 years later, a grown up Babymetal in their mid-20s, and an amazingly emotional and epic song. *Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014):* 16-year old lead Su-metal's solo, and a dark and ominous song with an amazing band intro. *Night Night Burn (Legend Metal Galaxy 2020):* Salsa/Flamenco vibes 💃 🤘🦊
If you noticed, when the crowd was singing without the music, they went off with the tempo, so Suzuka is quick and smart enough to join the chanting and correct the tempo right before the music starts again. Amazing awareness of a 17 years old veteran that knows what she's doing.
Paisana colombiana, estás oficialmente en 'the one'.
Great reaction! I agree, this is a must-watch video. Even people who don't like BABYMETAL should be able to acknowledge the quality of the performance and the talent in many more areas than just the music. There's a whole lot of great BABYMETAL songs and performances (to be honest, all of them are), but I think this would be a good time to react to the song "Megitsune". It's another one from their first album, but I think it's the most iconic and representative BABYMETAL song (although "Gimme Chocolate" got the most attention and success). That being said, I'm also looking forward to seeing you witness their evolution in later albums.
Two of our daughters were close to the Colombian children in their class when they were in elementary and middle school. Perhaps Japan and Colombia are a good match!☺️ Please continue to enjoy BM's music. 🔥🤘🦊 From🇯🇵
This group band is good cami, the tone of they music difference then the other Music Band , if you listen for this music very impessive, thank cami you better come to japan n listen that baby metal band directly👌❤❤❤❤
Great reaction! RoR is one of BABYMETAL's most iconic songs. The lead vocal, choreography, KamiBand, and stage set are all perfect. As for the choreography, they make it look easy, but a professional dancer told me that BABYMETAL's choreography is very difficult. There is a professional dance cover video on UA-cam, but unfortunately it was low quality😭 I hope you will continue to listen to BABYMETAL. See you🤘🦊
I've loved listening to music all my life and my favorite band has always changed, but since I found BabyMetal I don't listen to anything else. 12 Happy Years of BabyMetal.... BabyMetal Forever 🤘🦊🤘
You are one of my favourite Babymetal reactors. I love how you articulate your thoughts (even through translated captions) and you clearly felt every element of the performance, the spectacle that is Babymetal. Thank you 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🔥🦊🔥
3:02 _Now Pizza Time!
And it still works after more than 10 years as the closing song and still Moa and Momo work as their secret weapon for crowd control. They Pick a Segment of the audience and check their responsiveness andvtry to bring them up to date. As a result they have abhomogenous mass, that reacts to Su's callouts at once. You often feel at the end of their concertsvthat you start to get exhausted, while they are on stage and ate dancing. It explains why Su remembers Sakura Gakuin mainly as rivers of sweat.
Great reaction your look of shock / amazement at what you were seeing and hearing was fun . Great performance of Road of Resistance the best in many fans opinion althought Road of Resistance at PIA Arena in 2023 rivals it 😁 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Welcome back to the Foxhole! 🦊 Your analysis is spot on. At first glance, most people discount the band for any number of reasons. But once you jump in, you find out how complex their music really is. Their stage presence is ridiculously strong. I saw them last year. I knew what to expect, and I was floored by their ability to energize and control a crowd. She got the entire pit audience to *sit down* right in the middle of 'Metali'. About 2000 people just sat down, right in the middle of a metal concert. You should give The First Take version of 'Monochrome' a watch. Su really shines in that performance.
Welcome back, great reaction again.🦊🤘This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su-metal was 17, Yuimetal and Moametal only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. This was at the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. The next song you hear will be very different again, but it will have the same depth and quality of writing and performance.🦊🤘
If I understood what you said correctly, you said the comments told you the searched for a vocalist for years for this idea. That seems to be getting the details wrong slightly: Babymetal was created by a producer Kobametal, he used to work with bands, but was moved to the kids division to work with girls, to do J-pop idols style groups, because the demand for band's music for low in Japan. He looked around to understand the J-pop idols scene better and was inspired by the popular Perfume from the same company, they combine J-pop idols with electronic music. So his thought was, what if he could combine the music he loves, metal music, with J-pop idols. He was working with a J-pop idol group and they had a collaboration with an other J-pop idol group from the same company (they were the opening act at the last performance of that group and also perform a song together). This is where he could see 1 of the girls in the other group work and perform live. He noticed her, Suzuka, and wanted to work with her, she was already known to be talented in the company, he thought her type of voice could work with metal music. But his crazy idea of metal and idols was not an idea he could do, because it was highly financially risky, bands music like metal and rock were not popular in Japan, it's why he was asked to work with these kids. But because the other group was disbanding he tried to keep himself connected to Suzuka, by doing a small project and over a year past after that first collaboration and now she was going to be part of an other group and he made sure he was also part of that. And now he found a way to create Babymetal, because that group was going to have sub-groups and Babymetal could be 1 of them. And because it's a sub-group their would be less financing needed too. He did not get the same financing as other sub-groups, but he was allowed to do it. He himself was even unsure if this would work, but he saw a possibility. In summary, I don't think he was not actively looking for a vocalist when he was already having this idea. But this sort of came together more naturally and then he made it happen by putting himself in the right places.
Road of Resistance: Live In Japan 🇯🇵 @"Saitama Super Arena (SSA):- "Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance. Su-Metal was 10 when she performed with Karen Girls at the SSA (SAITAMA SUPER ARENA). The Arena that night holds about 20000 Babymetal fans but when you see the centrepiece Island and the two curve bridge, it can hold up to 30000 or even up to 40000 depends on the configuration of Babymetal concert for each tour they performed. This song is co-written by Dragonforce with Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar 🎸 solos, but Kami Band live show is brutal and tight. This is a classic Power Metal genre or speed metal as some might refer to. Bands like Dragonforce, Helloween and even Sabaton do power metal genre. Arkadia from Metal Galaxy Album is the successor to Road Of Resistance. At 17 Su-Metal alongside Yuimetal and Moametal who is 15 at that time, gave a perfect 👌 performance on how live show should be. This performance alone cemented my love ❤️ and appreciation for Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘😍💕🌸🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. . Babymetal singles chronology:- •"Megitsune" (2013). •"Road of Resistance" (2015). •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015). Background and release:- "Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman. The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014. A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015. Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom. Composition:- Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album. According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful." •Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear. •Mixed by Ettore Rigotti Personnel:- •Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) - Main vocals (2010 - Present) •Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) - Backing vocals (2010 - Left Babymetal in 2018 due to undisclosed health issues) •Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) - Backing vocals (2010 - Present) •Momoko Okazaki:- On April 1, 2023, during the Babymetal concert "Babymetal Begins: Black Night" at the Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Okazaki was officially announced as their new member with the stage name "Momometal". It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500". •Owner: Saitama Arena Corp. •Capacity: 36,500 (stadium setting) 18,000 (arena setting). The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting. It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football. Well, you've opened a can of worms! BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of recommended songs (along with suggested versions). The first sixteen are from what I've come to call "The Golden Age of BABYMETAL" or simply "The Yui Era": Doki Doki Morning (official music video) ua-cam.com/video/cirhQ8iLdbw/v-deo.htmlsi=k84SUx4P01t9M5ic Iine! If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . . Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest: "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" ua-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q.html and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014) ua-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI.html Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. A technical suggestion, if I may: when you pause, go back about five or ten seconds before resuming, that way you regain the flow of the song. You may or may not know that, if you tap your keyboard space bar once it will pause the video, another tap will resume play. Also, if you tap the left arrow key once, it will rewind the video five seconds (a second tap for another five seconds), and tapping the right arrow key will advance the video five seconds. Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!) Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Excellent, one of the best reactions I have seen to this performance. You earn 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊. I suggest "Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs" next.
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏴 🏴 🏴 "Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) - Pretty much a master class in audience control. BABYMETAL believe that if a song sounds too much like one genre, then it's not a BABYMETAL song. You can definitely feel the speed and power metal in this one though. This performance was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) with a sold out crowd of over 20,000. The lead singer Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) first appeared at SSA in 2008 as the youngest member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old. She's been back many times since with BABYMETAL.
Bienvenida nuevamente al mundo de Babymetal🦊🤘, espero sigas reaccionando a otras canciones, te recomiendo escuchar Monochrome live (Pia Arena 2023), See you!!
Existen otras bandas japonesas HARD METAL como: DIR EN GREY - OBSCURE; DEVILOOF; SAYWON; RYUJIN, THE GAZETTE y HEAVY METAL como: HAGANE, EAST OF EDEN, XNDURE, TRiDENT, BAND-MAID, JUDY AND MARY ("Sobakasu" ost de Samurai X.. "Blue Tears"), NEK!, X JAPAN, LADYBABY, BABYMETAL, VERSAILLES,
Welcome down the Babymetal rabbit hole, we are a lot of people here taking you in with open arms. It is so beautiful watching someone else understanding the greatness of this band for the first time. And you have so much to look forward to. Love this reaction! This should be your next stop on your Babymetal journey: ua-cam.com/video/5RseSTW8Z7o/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
It was impressive that these 3 young ladies (ages 17, 15, and 15) had so much stage presence and power👊🏽⚡️ 🦊🤘🏾
Suzuka at 17 was already a veteran, she started performing at 10 years old 😂
Clear the mosh'e pit, this I command!
Yes, my QUEEN!
Gracias 👍
Un gusto Rodrigo 🤗

Great reaction to a wonderful anthem/fan song :) More please :P
Great reaction once again! This is an epic classic, and their staple show closer for almost a decade now. This particular performance was Jan 2015. Babymetal's stage presence is amazing and even more incredible that these three 17/15-year old teenagers is able to control a 20K sold out crowd. Bonifide stage generals.
Here's a few more suggestions to show you Babymetal's range:
*Monochrome (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* 10 years later, a grown up Babymetal in their mid-20s, and an amazingly emotional and epic song.
*Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014):* 16-year old lead Su-metal's solo, and a dark and ominous song with an amazing band intro.
*Night Night Burn (Legend Metal Galaxy 2020):* Salsa/Flamenco vibes 💃
🤘🦊
Perhaps Japan and Colombia are a good match!☺️
Please continue to enjoy BM's music.
🔥🤘🦊 From🇯🇵
This group band is good cami, the tone of they music difference then the other Music Band , if you listen for this music very impessive, thank cami you better come to japan n listen that baby metal band directly👌❤❤❤❤
GREAT reaction!!!
You are one of my favourite Babymetal reactors. I love how you articulate your thoughts (even through translated captions) and you clearly felt every element of the performance, the spectacle that is Babymetal. Thank you 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🔥🦊🔥

- Megitsune official MV
- Monochrome live at Makuhari Messe 2023
And it still works after more than 10 years as the closing song and still Moa and Momo work as their secret weapon for crowd control. They Pick a Segment of the audience and check their responsiveness andvtry to bring them up to date. As a result they have abhomogenous mass, that reacts to Su's callouts at once. You often feel at the end of their concertsvthat you start to get exhausted, while they are on stage and ate dancing. It explains why Su remembers Sakura Gakuin mainly as rivers of sweat.
STAND UP AND SHOUT!!!
JUSTICE FOREVER 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great reaction your look of shock / amazement at what you were seeing and hearing was fun . Great performance of Road of Resistance the best in many fans opinion althought Road of Resistance at PIA Arena in 2023 rivals it 😁
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Welcome back to the Foxhole! 🦊 Your analysis is spot on. At first glance, most people discount the band for any number of reasons. But once you jump in, you find out how complex their music really is. Their stage presence is ridiculously strong. I saw them last year. I knew what to expect, and I was floored by their ability to energize and control a crowd. She got the entire pit audience to *sit down* right in the middle of 'Metali'. About 2000 people just sat down, right in the middle of a metal concert.
You should give The First Take version of 'Monochrome' a watch. Su really shines in that performance.
Thank you! 🙏🏻 I really enjoy their performances! Can’t wait to hear more.. Greetings 👋🏻
Speaking of Japan, anime. Speaking of anime, Japan.
The three girls' beauty and performance are at the level of anime(=flawless).😍
Great reaction, really enjoyed, muchos gracias 🙏
If I understood what you said correctly, you said the comments told you the searched for a vocalist for years for this idea.
That seems to be getting the details wrong slightly:
Babymetal was created by a producer Kobametal, he used to work with bands, but was moved to the kids division to work with girls, to do J-pop idols style groups, because the demand for band's music for low in Japan.
????
@@メタ太郎-g5f she said, 'they spend years looking for a vocalist', I don't think that's how it went.
@@autohmae agreed it sounded as if they had tried different vocalists 😁🤘🏼🦊
Road of Resistance: Live In Japan 🇯🇵 @"Saitama Super Arena (SSA):-
"Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘😍💕🌸🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. .
Babymetal singles chronology:-
•"Megitsune" (2013).
•"Road of Resistance" (2015).
•"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015).
Background and release:-
"Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
Composition:-
Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies".
The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful."

•Mixed by Ettore Rigotti

It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.

The first sixteen are from what I've come to call "The Golden Age of BABYMETAL" or simply "The Yui Era":

You can use my UA-cam playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty” (ua-cam.com/play/PLdhz2aj0pt4zPl0BZLevPUR9uHKQA27uj.html ) as a quick link to all of these videos; it is a mix of MV’s and live performances, is more or less in historical sequence, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole. If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . .
Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest:
"Legend 1997 Apocalypse" ua-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q.html
and/or
"Budokan Black Night" (2014) ua-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI.html
Both concerts are, in a word, incredible.
(You're in for a wild ride!!!)
Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!)
KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
It's maximum amazing. 😆

"Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) -
Pretty much a master class in audience control.
She's been back many times since with BABYMETAL.

y HEAVY METAL como: HAGANE, EAST OF EDEN, XNDURE, TRiDENT, BAND-MAID, JUDY AND MARY ("Sobakasu" ost de Samurai X.. "Blue Tears"), NEK!, X JAPAN, LADYBABY, BABYMETAL, VERSAILLES,
Babymetal is amazing. SU has so much power. ❤❤❤ the shave total crowd control.
