I think that cap is a disaster, it's going to be lost or stolen and BMW will probably charge a fortune for a replacement one. I think it should be tethered to the bike so it can't be lost.
Already lost two after half day as they were not positioned right by the dealer
I cant use my 1250 luggage on it nice way to make us spend more money

Is the luggage key the same as that of the key fob? The video showed a standalone key so I’m not sure. I currently ride an F900r and appreciate that everything is accessed Keyless ride, removing seat, and locking in my BMW saddlebags via my key fob and flip out key.
Yeah it’s the same key. I don’t know why it’s a standalone key because I have the r1300gs and all the luggage system and it’s using the key with the keyless ride

Its a pity BMW cant supply the luggage, I've had my bike on order since November for delivery later this month and I've now been informed by the dealer they have been withdrawn due to faults and no date given when they will be available very poor BMW now looking for alternatives
Topcase instruction not correctI think! When you slide the case on and close the locking mechanism, the key automatically goes to the central position. The key should be removed at that point. If you turn the key to the lock position , as shown, you manually lock the case and you cannot use the central locking system with your key etc, The lock position is not to lock the case to the rack, it actually locks the case itself.
There's no way this system will survive a spill. How do you field repair this stupid idea?!

Why is he using a old style grey key to fit the panniers and then uses the bikes actual key to remote lock them?
What are the buttons on the key actually used for as every one I've tried seem not to function correctly
Great gear and well thought through. I love the USB and central locking. But I also need it take it off-road on my new R 1300 GS. The question is, how would it handle the rough usage? What if the GS drops on them at low to standing speed? Having them broken in the middle of nowhere on a trip through Balkan or South America makes me wonder. Also I need to be able to attach gear like water and gas. This irregular shape looks stunning, but makes it difficult to attach anything. So far there seems to be no alternative from BMW for the 1300 GS. Not everyone is using his GS to get from home to hotel only.
Will you offer a non-Vario case , meaning top loading aluminum panniers ?

Can the Top-Case-Holder be placed on the passenger-Seat? (replace passenger seat). I'd like to have it directly in my back, not so far off.

As I can see on my r1300gs with the top case and the top case holder, I don’t think it’s possible
@@thelittlewozniak thanks for the input! - "DAS WUNDERLICH R 1300 GS KONZEPTBIKE" has "Wunderlich Gepäckbrücke Soziussitz" mounted instead of the passenger seat. looks what im looking for, but not for original products i guess
It's not possible to install the topcase holder on the passenger seat!

So much complication about three cases. Why? Has anyone ever try to steal a case from a motorbike? Simpler is better. IMO.
