@@Vegas-Must-Try Being famous for the hauntings, I would imagine they expect to get the occasional visitor with an EMF scanner and can plant electrical devices in certain areas to give you false readings and preserve the lore.
@@Vegas-Must-Try I have seen two ghosts in my life (both more than once), one was my ex-wife & one was the tenant before me, and they both left within 6 months of their deaths. I have heard it is very rare for ghosts to linger for years.
I disagree. I'm a waitress at a bar downstairs from a hotel in Atlanta. The rooms- single rooms, king bed- go for average $300/night. There's no real theme, lore, or entertainment. This Clown hotel would NOT be worth it for the average person, but for horror movie fans or fans of the weird and eccentric- $177 that includes a tour and clown themed museum is a great price. It all depends on who you talk to. Would I travel all the way to Vegas for this hotel? No. But would I go out of my way to stop there if I was doing a cross country road trip? Heck yeah!
Tonopah, Nevada is one of the most depressing small towns I've been in. We were there just long enough to eat a late lunch. There's a casino in town that's about the size of a typical hotel suite with an A&W built in. There was nobody under 60 in that casino. Most of them were over 70.
This is ridiculous. I've stayed there and there is nothing haunted about it, just some good old fashioned exploitation. The original owners opened this hotel next to the cemetery where their father was buried. The father had a clown figurine collection, so they displayed it in the lobby. Now the collection and theme has grown to attract business. I've been there twice, and to the cemetery. In fact, was just there last month. Nothing haunted, just some fun.
The current owner doesn’t believe in the paranormal at all nor does he advertise it as haunted. He just wanted it to be a fun themed place people could stay. Also just because you didn’t have any experiences, doesn’t mean it’s not haunted. I did have an experience in a room that wasn’t advertised as a “haunted” one. But I had just gone over to the cemetery for a few minutes…and back to my room. When I opened my door, I heard from the back of the room a distinct “Mama!!” Like a little girl wondering where her mom was. You may say well it was just the tv or a child who was there. But the thing is it was during the travel offseason and only two other rooms had guests. I didn’t have anyone to the top or either side of me. And it was 11 PM so I know there was no little girls just running around outside. And nobodies tv was on either. And I don’t have auditory hallucinations that clear or loud. But I 100% heard it. And there are kids buried in that cemetery so I’m wondering if one followed me back from the graveyard because she saw a woman walking around with a flashlight and maybe thought I was looking for her, I’m not sure. But I am sure I heard “mama” with absolutely nobody close enough to say it!
Me, my sister and niece went on a tour of the nearby Goldfield Hotel with a nice lady once, just the 4 of us in this big, dark abandoned hotel. I heard something creepy there, a voice? The dark empty hallways were really eerie. Loved it
Don't be too scared of the EMF spikes in the cemetery. There's power lines directly overhead. It's going to spike. Cool vid though, I wondered what the hotel was like. Thanks for posting this video!
I stayed there once to do a ghost hunt. I had no ghostly experiences whatsoever. I did however, find about 100 dead bugs all over the floors and in the bathroom. The hot water didn't work unless you ran the shower for 10 minutes. But that didn't work because the bathtub was clogged and overflowed before the water could get hot. We moved to a different room and that was just as dirty.
We stopped there on the way to Reno. All of the staff we met were extremely nice, and housekeeping let me go in the murder room to take pictures. We also met someone from the historical society in the cemetery, they are still working to mark all of the graves. He was using divining rods and showed us how to use them and actually let me try it and it was really cool to see the rods actually move as you passed over a grave.
