    Thank you Still Dragon for jumping into this. Looks like most houses are afraid of this one because it would be too time intensive. I'm ready to see how you guys do it. Thanks so much!

      Naturally impressed at the production speed. Was completely gob smacked at how good the whiskey is out of that machine!!

    That initial high temp dump busts the ethanol/methanol bond and results in a much easier separation down the road. The could reintroduce the top couple inches of fluid from the final plate towers boiler and scavenge more.

      They can decide what temps and how much of plate to siphon is simply another variable for product profile to them of course nice to have more options. Some boojie mofo could probably taste the profile difference from any change.

      This system is set up for whiskey production and operates on " Proof Gallons". It can process 4 (53 gallons) barrels of finished product per shift.

    Is there anything I can read or watch to get an idea of how all parts work/what they are there for?

      @@tomsuica8731 Thank you, I commented that about three years ago. A few months after making that comment I started working at a distillery and getting qualifications. I have been a professional distiller for a little over a year now.
      But I very much appreciate the gesture, Its always great seeing how willing the community is to take time share knowledge.

    Awesome! How much would it cost to replicate the set up from scratch?

      @@smaug147 for home use, You can replicate this on a smaller sacle for under 10k. This scale? 30-80k i would guess 30 if you got a bunch of rednecks and learned to tig weld yourself.

      @smaug147 2 роки тому +1

      It's doable. The thing is that the controller for the small system has the exact same functionality as for the larger production system. That's the rub that makes the larger system a far better value.

    This video would have been great if filmed in landscape rather than portrait mode. It's hard to see everything with such a narrow field of view.
