Agree with Federer. He recently said that they're equal when it comes to trickshots and I'd say they're equal when summing up overall ability to play the game too. They both have their respective +/-, Rogi's being all out attack for winners and Rafa's being nullification to suffocation of the opponent via spin.

Italian is the most phonetically spelled out language I've seen (apart from Japanese, whose vowels are similar to the Italian ones), so as long as I have the Italian transcript, I can sound like this legendary commentator who's been in almost every Federer video ever...

He started winning against Fed well before Fed got old. He started beating him in 2008 and actually had a winning record against him from 2008-2012 (Fed was age 26-29 throughout that span).
@GTS Well he does have around the net shots and he has pulled off some tweeners as well, but I would certainly say that he isn't on their level when it comes to creativity and overall shotmaking with the forehand and that is the wing that most of these shots are coming from.

Djokovic took advantage of Roger when he was past his prime. Both took advantages of each other in periods when the other wasn't in his prime and both were able to win against prime versions of their opponents even while not being in their own primes.

Nadal was pre-prime phase during 2004-2007.He was only a threat on clay thus the swiss still didn't had competition on hard and grass.He matured and hit his prime in 2008 when he owned Fed on all surfaces. From 2011 Djokovic had a stronger era than what the swiss had in 2004-2007 as his big opponents ,namely Nadal,Federer,Murray,Wawrinka,Delpo were a stronger group than Roddick,Blake,Gonzalez,Safin,Nalbandian. Nadal was only injured in 2012 otherwise he was a threat in 2011,2013 and first half of 2012. Federer was only injured in March and August 2013.
Djokovic has owned Wawrinka convincibly - US open 2012,AO 2013,US open 2013,AO 2015 and all the times in masters.
He won RG against Murray who owned Wawrinka in the semifinal and Murray is also better than Soderling.He also beat Thiem in that semifinal from 2016.Meanwhile,Nadal was injured in 2009 RG because of the tough meeting with Djokovic in Madrid that year.That's the reason the swiss got his french.
As for the next gen,Medvedev,Thiem,Tsitsipas are better than Gonzalez,Blake,Philippoussis,Roddick so again it's stronger competition which means Djokovic's wins are more impressive than Federer's from 2004-2007.
