Arisi sugar sertha paalil kuzhaindhu vegumaa? Cookeril paal pong varaamal irukkumaa? Sorry for the long query. This method very easy& less time consuming. Normal method takes few hours.
1. Crush the rice in mixie before cooking. Basmathi rice adds more taste. 2. Add sugar in the end to speed up cooking process 3. Add cardamom power. Without this it won't taste like payasam. It will be just pal Sadam. 4. Add ghee rosted cashew in the end.
Pls try ths method.... only with these ingredients ... and do it in ths same process... ur method is our regular style. Not the style I mentioned. Thnku

No no Preethi. This is not authentic payasam. Authentic pal payasam should not be cream or yellow in colour. The only authentic pal payasam should be pink in colour. You should NOT use saffron or cardomom or any other ingredients. The only ingredients on pal payasam are milk, raw rice and sugar. You ve added too much of rice. For 1 litre of milk you shouldn't add more than a kai pidi of rice. And salt OMG! You have desecrated the idea of pal payasam itself. The authentic pal payasam is what you will get in Ambalapuzha Krishnan temple. It will get a pink colour if you leave it alone in the cooker without adding saffron or anything else.
