Dogs don't live long enough they are the best thing that ever was created on earth in my ways of thinking I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to have had my dogs so many years and I'm also forever heartbroken 💔 😢 by there passing. I'm going to start up some kind of fund in remembrance of Bigfoot and Arnold the purpose of it is to help others who have dogs that may not be able to afford medicine or Healthcare I'm still doing my research but that way my boys can live on . Tearing up just thinking about my boys take care buddy

that's a lovely idea David, I hope you manage to get some traction with it. You are absolutely right too, our pets are with us for far to short a time and the pain of them leaving us sure does stick around. Hope your finding some strength in your memories of both your boys

Ok I'm just terrible at maths so couldn't work out the formula but on the chart, age 6 can range from 40-52, but on the excel, 6 is coming up 59?

So the chart is a combination of different measures and taking into account size where as the calculation is just based on the labrador and assumes that aging is follows a very constant pattern. I guess the bottom line is there is no correct "exact" right answer but these different techniques show that the broad statement of 1 year = 7 human years is a long way from the truth and the fact that different sized dogs age differently and so their needs are different despite being the same age in real years

@@OurPetsHealth Aww I see. I guess Molly is potentially anything between those ranges then as she is a Lab (27kg) and is 6 years 10 months, so maybe closer to the upper end, though I 'feel' to me she is like in her mid-late 40's, you know, lazes a bit more, but still has plenty of energy when she requires it, still likes to play, learn, go for good walks but take it a bit easier with fetch and any higher impact activities. Bit more grey on the chin etc...
We also now have a Goldador (Pontiac) too who has just turned 1 and she is definitely a bundle of energy hyperactivity combines with some stubborn adolescence haha. Nice company for Molly, though she does like to try and play with her ALOT in the day, so I do have to keep that under control and limit the play times to give Molls a bit of a break, though she does seem to enjoy it too - the furniture, not so much haha!
