    Another, often forgotten, group of insects that are thought to have convergently evolved fungus farming around the same time as ants are termites. This particular group of termites have lost the ability to digest wood on their own, and instead use wood and dead leaves to cultivate their fungus gardens.

    I had heard of leaf cutter ants, but don't remember learning the reason why. I thought they built plugs or use them as building material inside their colonies; was blown away to learn they use it to farm their own fungus to feed on. Amazing ❤️

    i hope you will read it,
    as a youtube video consumer of the top nature/science channels i have to say this:
    you have to pump up your game guys. your stories are not new enough and the way you tell them is a little bit dull. take a look at deep look, or even animalogic for example to how to tell a fresh story in an engertic way.
    your videos are nice, but they lack better music, better tempo, better writing.
    i hope you take that into consideration
