Great tag Brian. Amythyst Kiah sounds like someone that would really interest me. Great to see Josh Ritter and that is one that I don't have. The Pogues first few albums were all great. It's great that you got the Them album with some special memories. Have a great 2022. --Randy
Great tag! Old Crow Medicine Show is band I need to get into more. I also love seeing Jakob Dylan in the background as well. I am huge Wallflowers fan! 🙂
Hi Brian, Good to see you! I like the stories you share with your records. I agree with you on the" best of" albums cuz space is at a premium in our house. Have a great New Year.
Great Tag video Brian. Always look forward to seeing what you come up with. I always know I will get some Van Morrison & Irish connections in it...lol. Very gracious of Mazzy & Jonathan on that Them record. I recorded my tag earlier & realized it had been over 1 1/2 years since I had done a video. Way to long. Upload speeds stink at my house so will upload tomorrow. Have a happy & healthy 2022 my friend.
@@ShamrocknRecords My work is offering its employs a virtual experience that we get to choose. I chose an Irish concert from some pub. It is sometime in March. Looking forward to it. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I enjoyed seeing your vinyl tag. I wrote down the "My Father's Daughter" song to listen to later. ♥️ I have bought a box set just for one album as well. Lol. You're not alone. 🤗 Have a wonderful new year.
Hi Brian thanks for doing the tag much appreciated.. T. rex great duo .. I’ve pick up a few go betweens records recently 16 lovers lane is one I want .. I saw inside Llewyn davis at the movies in 2013 … great movie ..best of records are a gateway to new artists I still grab them as introductions … I bought fishermens blues when it was released great record . Johnathan is great but I’m always calling him Christopher for some reason . 🤷🏼♂️ really great video one of my favourite responses. Best wishes in 2022 Brian 👍
Awesome Tag Brian. Miss your energy for sure. That Amethyst Keil is a moster of a record. Could.not put it down. Thanks for the mention too. Hope.we see more of ya! Cheers buddy!!!
Interesting selection Brian. I always see records on your channel that are new to me, so thanks for opening my eyes and ears. Ozzy / Metallica is a great first gig ☮
Hey Brian - great response to this year's tag. I think you could have shown Go-Betweens; I showed a New Zealand band (The Beths) via a record printed here...or maybe I'll have to withdraw my tag lol. Either way it worked out - I'm a big Rod fan too.
@@ShamrocknRecords My nephew recently told me that he is listening to Elliott Smith so I sent him your 2022 tag. He is now one of your newest subscribers (since yesterday! lol)
Great tag Brian! FYI Cat Power has a covers record coming out on 1/14 I saw Flag Day great soundtrack! Glad you finally found a copy of Shotgun Willie.😎 Take care. - Zach
Great to see you, Brian. Some excellent albums shown here. Amythyst Kiah one of my favorites this year as you mentioned. Yeah, I was promoting that one around. Haha! Phases and Stages is one of my all-time faves. Definitely my favorite Willie album. That trilogy is amazing. I have no hate for Best Of’s but I have been purging them, because I can just stream the hits. I agree, though, no need to have all those Journey albums. 😎 If you’re thinking about exploring Cat Power, look for You Are Free and The Greatest. You have to have that Irish edition of the Prine album! Some albums here for me to explore. Again, great to see you. You should try Mazzy’s crazy Whack-a-Mole tag next. Ha! Hope you’re doing well, brother. Cheers ✌🏻
Hey Brian, you like that Billy Bragg and Wilco album eh? So funny that, another buddy of mine plays on that record. Im good friends with Bob Egan who was in Wilco for three or four years. Hes on that album and Being There. Then he moved to Canada and joined Blue Rodeo. I mention him in my Seven LP’s of separation video. I show a picture of him sitting in my kitchen with my son. I have original pressings off all three Mermaid Ave albums. Theyre great.
I just took a look at my newest Alan Doyle record and sure enough Kendall is on the cover sitting next to him. The show was postponed til next Feb. Can’t wait to see them. I saw your separation video. I loved it. I predicted the whole thing once I saw Platania’s name on the cover. Hahaha Cheers my friend☘️
What’s up “Shammy”?! LoL! That’s hilarious! Does that make me Cozzy? Haha! Dude it’s so good to see you Brother! And yes there nothing better than using some junk mail to make notes for a VC video especially the TAG! Great stuff here Man! I totally agree about the snobbery towards comps and “Best of” albums! Cmon be real right!? I’m not a big Live album guy either! Man great minds think alike! Miss ya Man! Hope all is well my friend! Peace ☮️✌️👽🤘☮️ PS But why a 40 year old record? LoL!
Metallica is a pretty good first band to see live. If I did the concept question Phases and Stages was the one I was going to show. The early Rod Stewart albums are great. I still don't have a Vertical Swirl. The Pogues are a great choice. Very cool you got something from the Coleman collection.
BRIAN!!! Anything from Jakob Dylan and Eddie Vedder I’m in!!! How have you been brother Bri? Hopefully well, damn good to see ya stay awesomely insightful - Lis 😎🎶✊🏻
Hey! Brian! Top to see you, matey. Well done on getting hold of Shotgun Willie. I had no idea that Mermaid Avenue had been repressed last year...Not that's a tempting record. Actually, I was going through some boxes of stuff at my Mum's and found the VHS of the documentary about the project which also came with a bonus CD of outtakes. Don't know what to do with it? I featured an Anne Briggs album when I did a video with Mazzy about folk from the British Isles. It was her second album called The Time Has Come, which is probably a bit more singer-songwriter and less traditional than her debut, but still amazing. It's very weird to hear you describe Anne Briggs as being Celtic. There's all kinds of cross pollination between the music of Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England, with songs' lyrics and tunes crossing over and being reworked, but describing it all as Celtic is not really correct. Celtic is rarely used here to describe traditional folk music, it's far more likely to be used to describe the music of Clannad and Enya. You can never show The Waterboys too much, especially Fisherman's Blues. Nice to have you back. Cheers - Hedley
Enjoyed your video. You showed some really interesting music. the Amythyst Kiah is up on my Spotify account to listen to. The Rod Stewart album looks good hes one of my favs too Speaking of celtic punk :) Do you like the Drop Kick Murphys??? Like the Damn Yankees back story.
