In the original animation, the Dinobots were created by the Autobot inventor Wheeljack(the Albert Einstein looking Autobot in dark of the moon). In the Bayverse, they’re captives on Lockdown’s ship obviously. Wheeljack thought dinosaurs were cool and so he wanted to create a source of brute force for the Autobots in the original show. Thus, the dinobots were created.
I could be very wrong about this because I don't know that much about the Dinobots but one thing I know about the dino box was from the the game Fall of Cybertron where shockwave were experimenting on them turning them into dinosaurs or dinosaur related robots Once again I could be wrong so if someone can explain to me yourself the origin of the Dino bus I will be happy
In the Gen 1 cartoon, the Autobots built the Dinobots in the first season, and they were mainstays and the powerhouse team for most of the series. In the Marvel comics, they were crew members of the Ark who were awakened shortly after the ship crashed on Earth by Teletraan 1 and reformatted with dinosaur alt modes to deal with Shockwave when he landed in the Savage Lands. In Animated, they were theme park attractions modified by Megatron and given life by the Allspark. In the Aligned continuity, they were the Lightning Strike Coalition who were captured by Shockwave and altered with dinosaur beast modes as an experiment. In the IDW comics, they were the Lightning Strike Team who first gained ancient Cybertronian animal forms before being given dinosaur modes by Teletraan-1 to fight Shockwave on prehistoric Earth. In the Bayverse, they were ancient legendary knights and warriors. The Dinobots have had a long and very interesting history in the Transformers mythos.
Hmm, I’m not sure who you’re talking about when you say Stinger was helping megatron in the 86 movie since there is no one called stinger. There was the green autobot Springer, and a green deception construction named Scrapper but a Stinger wasn’t in the 86 movie
Steve Jablonsky (The Composer) really carried this movie on his back, if the music wasn't as amazing at it is then I wouldn't have a soft spot for this movie.
I don't usually post twice but something that was cut was that the Dinobots were originally going to be revealed as the Guardians of the All-Spark from the first movie and were with it when Megatron caused it to crash land on Earth and Lockdown's ship was originally the Dinobot's ship. I wish that had been left in..
The boyfriend and girlfriend were my least favorite part of this movie. Thier part of the story annoyed me. I’m sure there was a better way to incorporate whatever he brought to the story.
@teyonnawilliams8035 they weren't likable to me. There were better ways to show a father daughter relationship. It didn't really pay off on the end. I didn't care about her or him. He only needed to drive for the action parts. That's it.
In G1 the Dinobots were made by some of the autobots( I forget who). In some continuities Shockwave took took an elite team of autobots and ran experiments on them to create the dinobots
This movie has the best speech at the end from optimus. “I am Optimus Prime, and this message is to my creators, leave planet earth alone, because I’m coming for you.” Just amazing.
As a dinosaur enthusiast i cringed severely at the beginning. It shows several species that existed in different time periods such as Psittacosaurus, heterodontosaurids, and Iguanodon at the end of the Cretaceous Period. Not to mention the cyberformed T-Rex and Spinosaurus. Even a *10-year old* knows they didn't exist at the same time. And you can't simply carbon date something and find that it's 65 million years old. The half-life of carbon-14 is only 5700 years. You *need* to use other dating methods. And appearently they drove from Beijing to Hong Kong in one hour or two. Which, if you've read a map, is impossible. It would take at least a week.
I know I’ve said this already but you should react to the series Transformers Prime as that honestly is show that exemplifies mostly what the live action movies should have been. That or another series called Transformers: Animated because both shows expand on both sides of the war and make sure they are treated as actual characters
Don't know if you noticed, but for this film, Michael Bay changed voice actors for Megatron/Galvatron. For the past three films, Hugo Weaving had been voicing Megatron (even though Michael Bay originally considered having Frank Welker, the original voice actor, reprise the role). Well now, Michael Bay has brought Frank Welker back to reprise the role, and he could NOT have made a better choice by doing so.
In the G1 cartoon Wheeljack created the Dinobots. In Fall of Cybertron they were normal autobots that Shockwave turned into dinobots as part of his experiments. Actually, Activision tried to retcon War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron to connect to the Bay movies (even though they 100% were supposed to be connected to Transformers: Prime) so I guess the Shockwave origin is the origin of the Bay one's? I don't know, everyone hated that retcon, so who knows if that's even canon anymore
As a fan of the G4 series of My Little Pony (“Friendship is Magic”), I really appreciated the nod to that moment of the scientist holding one of the characters in toy form in the film.😄
"today I grant you your freedom, to serve me" it's kinda insane how much accurate this is to Megatron in most universes, idw Megatron is the best example, he was a low class miner that meant nothing, after killing his first person he fled and became a gladiator, then he started the decepticons to give rights to these low class workers leading him to become more power hungry in the process
The gun Optimus has in the shed is Megatron's shotgun from the previous movie Found that out from the AOE Optimus Prime toy's weapon being compatible with the DOTM megatron toy
In the original cartoon. The autobots found the remains of dinosaurs and wheeljack a autobot scientist created the dinobots. Stinger was a character made up for age of extinction movie not in the cartoon movie. The organic hand at the beginning was a reference to the Quintessons the race that created the transformers. Basically the quintessons created the bots to be a workforce. Then primus gave the bots spark's (pieces of his soul) and that gave them sentient life. That's why in the 1986 movie the autobots said till all are one meaning when transformers die the spark rejoins primus's spark. They fought the quintessons and gained their freedom. The decepticons where born from unicron infecting one of the first primes with his evil and that spread to other bots creating the decepticons and so started the great war on cybertron.
This was a 3 hr movie. I don't blame them for not posting the whole movie reaction. I have enjoyed all their Transformers reaction so far. Keep up the good work you guys 💯💪
I love all the transformers movies, especially The Last Knight. Also I like the boyfriend and dad's dynamic. Favorite line: "It was insane, but it was awesome!"
34:58 your boi's right, Transformium as a concept is currently unique to the live action movies, in most continuities we don't really _touch_ upon what kinda metal the Transformers are made of, only that it's alien and living, that they feel through it and even cutting through what look like shoulder pads is like cutting through flesh and muscle, rather than cloth and fabric for them. 44:00 this is one of the things about this movie more people will agree on than not, they didn't really like how the KSI/Transformium bots just break apart and reform like clouds of nanotech, especially after all the work that went into the last- several movies of engineering their dedicated, on-screen transformations, curtesy of _Industrial Light & Magic,_ who did the CGI on the Transformers movies up until Bumblebee in 2018. For Transformers Rise of the Beasts in 2023, the CGI was handed over to _Moving Pictures Company,_ the same folks behind the live action Lion King, Godzilla vs Kong, and the live action Sonic the Hedgehog movie, also from 2018.
Get ready for the 5th movie. It was so bad it killed the continuity, resulting in Bumblebee being turned into a reboot. Even fans of the films didn't like it.
I wanna see their reactions to Transformers: Prime and the sequel series. The lore is faithful, but also adds to it. One of my fav incarnations of the series.
The one issue with all these movies is continuity. Really love Hound in this one. Such a great character and John Goodman voicing it is perfect. 1:08:31 Optimus also had to show dominance in the cartoon series when they first created them. Funny thing about the lesson of the movie goes back to what Cade’s daughter told him in his shop about some things shouldn’t be invented and he finally understood when he saw someone else making that mistake. 1:17:16 it depends on how the shot went. Optimus could’ve shot near him so not to hurt Cade and the shrapnel hit the government agent.
For me, the government agent that Optimus could have killed is how Megatron was originally. As a result, Optimus killing him represents his own mistake in not doing that to Megatron on Cybertron, which could have happened in pretty much most battles they fought, whenever they engaged in direct fights with each other.
For context, Galvatron is indeed a remodel of Megatron but the origin story is different based on continuity. Galvatron first appeared in the Transformers Movie in 1986. After Megatron was fatally wounded from his final battle with Optimus, he was resurrected by the monster planet, world eater, and chaos bringer, Unicron. Using his cosmic powers, Unicron revived Megatron, giving him a new body, and redubbed as Galvatron to be his herald. This is the mainstay concept of Galvatron's origin story throughout the past Transformers series. In this movie, instead of being revived by Unicron, Galvatron was created by humans who re-engineered Megatron's body with other Cybertronian tech. Unfortunately, like what Brain said, Megatron had transferred his mind into the new body and thus has been revived as Galvatron. In the comics where he debuted, Drift was originally a Decepticon known for his violent warrior tenacity. But after seeing so much horror in the war, he leaves the Decepticons and pursues a path of peace and finds harmony and discipline, where he takes up the code of the samurai which eventually leads him to join the Autobots in hopes of ending the war peacefully and find the balance he sought. However, he does have a tendency to switch to his hostile side for when he was a Decepticon which led to him lashing out whenever he is annoyed or irritated. Spoiler warning: The Knights they were talking about are called The Knights of Iacon, the guardians in charge of defending Cybertron during its Golden Age after the Primes.
Shawn's car was planned to be I think the Autobot Beachcomber. When he pulled up to the house, there was no driver and Shawn does say that he never has driven this good. But either way Michael Bay cut that out and it just became a normal car
For the lore: Transformers were created by the first 13 that were created from primus (their God that became cybertron) they then created the transformers. The dinobots were created by shockwave in the worst of ways possible. Lockdown exists if I remember and he didnt fight the war on a certain side he just did it if he was contracted to.

@@ShadowTheHedgehog1-s3e Unicron was in his planet form. Unicron's true form is the size of a cosmic being. He's so big, he can literally stomp on Cybertron, nearly flattening it.
You guys should check out "Beast Wars Transformers". At least the first 3 episodes. Would be good to watch before you watch Rise of the Beasts for some basic context.
Actually Lockdown has been around since the days of Transformers Animated back in 2008. He's always been part of the Mercenary faction and has always stayed neutral in the Autobot/Decepticon War (even though he's gravitated towards the Decepticons due to the intel they provide.)
There have been Autobots and Decepticons who don't follow the "rule" of vehicle modes since G1. On the Autobots side there's Warpath, who transforms into a tank, and Powerglide, who is an A-10 Thunderbolt II. Four members of the Aerialbots are military planes. On the Decepticon side there's Soundwave and his Deployers, Reflector, the Stunticons, Runabout and Runamuck, the Predacons, the Terrorcons, the Seacons, the Horrorcons, Octane, Blastoff.
One of the frustrating things about the Transformers franchise is that Hasbro occasionally demands a whole new cast of characters to sell new toys. That’s what happens in every movie, even the animated one. 😂
In the original G1 show, the Dinobots were created by the Autobot Wheeljack by using the fossilized bones of dinosaurs in order to create a strong team of Autobots. In the aligned continuty, the Dinobots were a team of ordinary Autobots who were experimented on by Shockwave which resulted in their dinosaur form. I'm not entirely sure if they were explained in the movies, they're kind of just there.
the autobots that survived movie wise were Mirage / Dino the red one from DOTM, The other 2 wreckers from DOTM, and the twins even though they died in the comics their cards in this movie say they are still alive, but bumblebee got the rest of the Autobots killed fire brothers dropped a video explaining it

Lockdown is indeed a Cybertronian but he is not affiliated with any faction. He is a Cybertronian mercenary/bounty hunter. His debut in the Transformers franchise was in 2007 Transformers Animated.
in the original continuity from the 80's the Dinobots were built by the Autobots as heavy hitters against the decepticons and in later renditions they were a separate faction turning into dinosaurs as a part of a cruel experiments run by Shockwave.
If you want to see more Lockdown and Dinobots, I would recommend “Transformers Animated” (2007). It’s a truly unique take on the franchise, one that does have a lot of human interaction but in a way that isn’t aggravating-the Autobots are learning and adjusting to being on Earth, and absorbing aspects of the culture. But if you want lots of action and lore, then “Transformers Prime” (2010) is the way to go. The humans are involved but generally take more of a backseat, allowing the Autobots to drive the action. Peter Cullen also voices Optimus Prime while Frank Welker comes back to voice Megatron, and it’s just a visually stunning show.

I could be very wrong about this because I don't know that much about the Dinobots but one thing I know about the dino box was from the the game Fall of Cybertron where shockwave were experimenting on them turning them into dinosaurs or dinosaur related robots
Once again I could be wrong so if someone can explain to me yourself the origin of the Dino bus I will be happy
I actually really enjoyed this movie! like Dinobots?! Count me in!
Hmm, I’m not sure who you’re talking about when you say Stinger was helping megatron in the 86 movie since there is no one called stinger. There was the green autobot Springer, and a green deception construction named Scrapper but a Stinger wasn’t in the 86 movie
Ohhh shoot!
Steve Jablonsky (The Composer) really carried this movie on his back, if the music wasn't as amazing at it is then I wouldn't have a soft spot for this movie.
Fr, “Tessa” by Steve is one of my fav OST songs ever
Looking forward to “Bumblebee” for your take on the redesigns.
Transformers 4: Age of Consent
Thank you I hated their “relationship” it disgusted me to the core
@teyonnawilliams8035 they weren't likable to me. There were better ways to show a father daughter relationship. It didn't really pay off on the end. I didn't care about her or him. He only needed to drive for the action parts. That's it.
When optimus speaks his first lines, listen closely and you'll find out what happened to sam.
This movie shows kelsey grammers character being killed by Optimus prime is special since that was the first human he ever killed
Age of extinction is underrated in my opinion, so many people hate it but it seems like a lot of reactors seem to like it
Love this one
I know I’ve said this already but you should react to the series Transformers Prime as that honestly is show that exemplifies mostly what the live action movies should have been. That or another series called Transformers: Animated because both shows expand on both sides of the war and make sure they are treated as actual characters
Lockdown was a total menace, my man had Optimus size and bumblebee agility, plus his head railgun
I don't know, everyone hated that retcon, so who knows if that's even canon anymore
love this one it is cool rip Rachet and all fallen autobots
Cade Yeager is my personal favorite human character in the Michael Bay franchise.
As a fan of the G4 series of My Little Pony (“Friendship is Magic”), I really appreciated the nod to that moment of the scientist holding one of the characters in toy form in the film.😄
T4 is underrated imo
"today I grant you your freedom, to serve me" it's kinda insane how much accurate this is to Megatron in most universes, idw Megatron is the best example, he was a low class miner that meant nothing, after killing his first person he fled and became a gladiator, then he started the decepticons to give rights to these low class workers leading him to become more power hungry in the process
The gun Optimus has in the shed is Megatron's shotgun from the previous movie
Found that out from the AOE Optimus Prime toy's weapon being compatible with the DOTM megatron toy
John Goodman as Hound was a perfect match
I love LOCKDOWN. He's such a cool bounty hunter.
"Is Optimus is going at the same speed as that lambo? That truck is insane" I died XD
This was a 3 hr movie. I don't blame them for not posting the whole movie reaction. I have enjoyed all their Transformers reaction so far. Keep up the good work you guys 💯💪
OUR BOY GRIMLOCK HAS HOIBED THE CHAT
I love all the transformers movies, especially The Last Knight. Also I like the boyfriend and dad's dynamic.
Favorite line: "It was insane, but it was awesome!"
So like I said in the first movie, this "Transformium" is the living metal, or cyber-matter, that I was talking about.
The next movie is hit or miss but the two after that, wooo are the best
Bumblebee being a 60s camaro with new components, literally the coolest possible car, makes this movie 10x better
I have loved all your reactions brothers...watch the Movie Battleship..crazy ass actions and alien invasion
You guys should watch Transformers Prime it's an animated series if you want a quality transformers experience, and Optimus Prime is much more involved.
Sorry to hear what’s happening to your reaction schedule this week as it affected your Age of Extinction and Band of Brothers reactions.
And to add salt on the wound, your _Monkey King_ animated movie reaction was taken down by Netflix due to copyright several hours after you uploaded your reaction. Honestly I never understand why UA-cam targets your channel after they’ve taken down your T2, Sonic the Hedgehog and _The Super Mario Bros. Movie_ reactions when other reaction channels still have those film reactions up on the channel and weren’t taken down nor copyrighted.
There are actually city-sized Transformers. I hope we see them next in a live-action
Considering they managed to get unicron in live action, it wouldn't surprise me if they were able to add the Titans like Metroplex or Trypticon
@@ShadowTheHedgehog1-s3e glimpses of him tho, his full scale and size would be something to marvel at
@@ShadowTheHedgehog1-s3e Unicron was in his planet form.
Fun fact Michael bay didn't want to make this or last knight paramount forced him for money.
The binobots are very incredible.
Actually Lockdown has been around since the days of Transformers Animated back in 2008. He's always been part of the Mercenary faction and has always stayed neutral in the Autobot/Decepticon War (even though he's gravitated towards the Decepticons due to the intel they provide.)
This and the 3rd are my fav. Hound and Lockdown and crosshairs are the best to me and I like the more rebellious tone of this one.
If you listen closely to when Optimus first transforms in the barn he says "sam run"
The Dinobots are the most epic. Biggest and baddest of them all. Michael Bay is a genius.
Robots are expensive to animate. Which is why you have to have human characters to balance
One of the frustrating things about the Transformers franchise is that Hasbro occasionally demands a whole new cast of characters to sell new toys. That’s what happens in every movie, even the animated one. 😂
Great reaction. Thanks!
I will never get bored of this legendary movie especially optimus prime bumblebee end luckdown fight scene
The Dinobots are foreshadowing the Knight combiner Dragon that hid from Quintessa, in the next film. Lockdown's ship was one of the vessels they used.
The Dinobots in the Bayverse I believe were knights like Optimus. Just much older and more savage.
Bounty hunter lockdown neither autobot nor decpiticon
54:17
This part just gets me 🥶
yea lets kill all the good guys but keep in jail all the bad guys, genius writting
That stat rape protection card scene was NOT needed.
the autobots that survived movie wise were Mirage / Dino the red one from DOTM, The other 2 wreckers from DOTM, and the twins even though they died in the comics their cards in this movie say they are still alive, but bumblebee got the rest of the Autobots killed fire brothers dropped a video explaining it
also both the mini dudes
Fun Fact: In this movie, Galvatron is voiced by Frank Welker, the voice of Megatron from the cartoon.
Guys, I enjoy the reactions. As to why they show humans more than robots, the CGI costs on the order of $400k-600k per minute. At least. Humans cost a lot less.
58:19 Sentinal Prime?
I just forgot the matrix of leadership was still a thing. And it protected Optimus from dying when he got stabbed.
So when Optimus first woke up, you may have heard say “Sam run”
Optimus Prime is the strongest bayverse character
🤟
Nah
@@phantomhd7889 😂😂😂😂
Are you kidding me? How many times do I have to prove to you that he is and all you can say is "nah"? He is. End of disgussion. Good night
They brought back megatrons original voice actor for this, frank welker. He sounds much better than the other voice from the last three films imo
Both Hugo Weaving and Frank Welker were both great in their own ways.
I will go to my grave saying "Dark of the Moon" is the best live action Transformers movie, but "Age of Extinction " is just tolerable.
31:07 In case you’re wondering, they got their clothes updating while Optimus Prime upgrade the new 🚛 models. Anyway, can’t wait to see you guys react transformers the last knight.
I been waiting for this movie.
It's my favorite out of the franchise, why?
Because it has dino in it 🎉
