If you're wondering why the text has English Subs. There is a tool called Bepinex that translates the game on its own. Translation Is not 100% accurate and isn't reliable as some text boxes have issues. It gets the translation done tho.,

Getting money in this game is kind of hard... [although sometimes u can work to get it!] Instead of yen we usually get the gems as reward.

​@@DallySkyeAnimsYeah, you only get gems as a reward for confidants, which sucks because grinding money in P5X is much harder when most of the gifts and items are over 1000 yen, and you can only get 4k per one daily stamina if you have read a book to boost the money count (which you can only buy after the first palace)
