From an NYCFC fan who made the trip out, thanks to the Timbers supporters for being super nice and friendly to us all weekend! Will definitely be rooting for you in the future (except against us of course)
@@kodycicale8229 Kody, thanks for making the trip to Portland! I personally stood out on 18th St. and watch the game on the big screen inside the stadium. Yeah I was rooting for the timbers but NYC FC was just better that day in the wet and it was a well deserved victory. Please come back to Portland when the city is alive again And all the great restaurants and activities have reopened. Better times are coming to this world Though right now it doesn’t seem like it.
Timbers fan here who flew from NJ for the game. All the NYCFC fans I met on the plane and around the city were incredible nice and gracious in victory. The game was a great experience too made worth the trip by this goal alone.
Thanks for making the trip! I was in the Army for this game and watching this clip still give me instant goosebumps, so I can only imagine what watching highlights does for you. Congrats on the win. Hope you had an awesome time in PDX
Unbelievable scenes! As an Englishman, here in London, I absolutely LOVE to see how quickly the Beautiful Game is growing across the pond. There’s nothing better in sports than an important last-minute goal. Nothing.
Man I was right across from you in the NYCFC stands completely stunned. Can't believe that you guys got a last second goal to keep the match alive. Man what a unforgettable match!
Whoever recorded this (assumably the creator of this account), I simply want to thank you for keeping your composure for the recording’s sake. It is rare to find raw fan footage of last second football equalizers/winners that truly capture the noise and scenes that make the moment so special. This is one of the most perfect recordings of a late cup final goal on the internet, and I absolutely salute you for it. I wish you, the Timbers, and their fans the best, coming from a Columbus Crew supporter. (Who may or may not still be bitter about the 2015 Cup Final ;3)

@@natopotato640 you guys played VERY very ugly, comical flopping from almost every single New York player, won almost every single call and we got nothing, Chara was completely run through while he was in the air in the box, nothing. @@MrML4L fuck what a way to retire if the timbers won. But man his missed his penalty, now every time he comes across the word penalty its going to remind him his last shot if his career
The crazy thing is, Niezgoda's shot would have gone wide of the goal if it had not been blocked, and the blocked ball fell right to Mora's feet who slotted it in past Sean Johnson. It was almost like the Double Post, a crazy impossible series of chances that gave the Timbers a goal right at the whistle blow for FT. If that ball had been knocked out of bounds, even perhaps for a corner, there's no guarantee that the ref wouldn't have blown the game over at that point. An incredible experience.
I’m the BIGGEST Portland timber fan, so it’s sad watching them lose. But believe me, I’ve never screamed louder then before when they scored that goal with 5 seconds left on the clock. 😊

You don’t make quite sense. Falcons we’re dominating. NYC was not even close to dominating. Patriots came back to win it. We didn’t. Not sure what this reference is getting at. I don’t know much American football tbh
I'm a NYCFC fan but if there was ever a goal that would solidify the interest in the sport of anyone casually watching the game, it's this one.
