Hardening mild steel has nearly no effect, you can clearly see in the video that he scratched the glass with his mini sword, whichs proves that the steel is medium to high carbon steel. And yes, the video is sped up
Liked, good work! Finally someone who actually forged the blade. So many vids on youtube of people cutting steel and calling it a forged blade. End result is beautiful!
Really nice work, just awesome ... you make me want to start "mini forging" myself ... I'm looking forward to your Viking sword and shield project ;-) many thanks for showing and please keep up the good work.
I would love to see a life sized katana. Doesn’t have to be a traditionally made one. But if you don’t have that sort of time, then this was still an awesome video.
Wow... great result... I also did this about a year ago... I think it came out okay considering I've never made any kind of knifes or swords before... :-)
Just what I've been looking for. Due to physical troubles I don't think i would be capable of making full size objects but small scale, say up to 1/4 scale. Might be possible. I got a replica sword letter opener for Christmas, making stuff like that would be fun.
I think that this is completely AMAZING , not only the actual forging itself but the actual science that is involved in each step. Heres a thought. If motor oil wasnt invented yet how was it then that the vikings, japanese, chinese & european warriors got the results that we do today by quenching red hot metal in a carbon based petroleum product such as motor oil??? Could it be that in fact they were far smarter than we give credit for and or maybe WE are devolving as a species perhaps by design, and are being fed the lies that the ppl who built the pyramids ONLY had brass, copper,& maybe some primitive iron to work with????
Interesting points and observations. From what I have understood of ancient civilizations so far is that they had a very different approach towards things. Pyramids, stone henge, machu pichu, mohenjo daro and harappa.... and many more are tangible evidence of what I say. Coming to quenching metal, if you study Japanese sword making, these katanas were quenched in water. That gave them the unique curvature that's so famous. And I'm sure there are so many secrets and technologies lost in time, we'll never know I guess.
Oh my god is that steel miled steel or something it is sooo soft or is it because the video is sped up ?

Mild not miled
The video is speed up
Speed not sped

Un piccolo ma grande capolavoro. Bravo!!!!!!!!!!
I fall asleep to these kind of vids idk why
The level of detail in this tiny package is scary. The pictures at the end looks like a full size katana.
It's amazing how much detail you put into each of your projects !
Excellent work! great craftsmanship. Minute details are considered in the make. Congratulations!

Amazing craftsmanship. But please wear protective gloves for some of the more dangerous work. Cheers!

@@SoggySandwich80 who's the conspiracist here?
Wow
very pro...
im trying to make one but i cant seem to sharpen it right like this 3:12 is there any advice plz?
I tried to make this once, but I failed. Is it because you don't have an aura?
Wauuuuuuu very good job 👍 👍 👍
Looks amazing dude ! By the way that's not a ninja sword more a samurai sword because it is curved . Ninja swords were straight for easier stabbing :)
Curved: katana
Straight: ninjato
WOW!!
So what kitchen knife do you use?
Koss: . . . Yes
Me:has Second thoughts on watching dis
Also me: Wow how is dis even possible🙀

tbh, koss has a perfect, simplistic feel to his works of art
Dude your G.I. Joe toys are going to hurt people
What hell
Incredible work. Maybe wrap the handle in embroidery thread ? Matching scabbard?
👏
Now you gotta forge a warrior to hold that sword
Yeah, ninja sword like the ones they use in chinese cartoons
