When this came out I was like “what? New Metallica? Sweet!” I listened to it and thought, “yeah, it’s pretty solid, nothing special, just good old Metallica” I listened to it a few more times and now I’m like “LUX ÆTERNAAAAAAAAA! YEAH!” Usually a 3.5 min song is “that’s it, that’s exactly what it says on the tin”, but this one actually grew on me more and more. Normally it’s longer songs that do that.
Mean this with all respect. I imagine you listen to the first 10s of a riff and then go through the door and decide - it it going to be coke or something stronger!? Lol. Love your passion man. It’s fricking awesome.

Hit the Lights for the 21st Century. It's a good song, but the solo is average compared to what Kirk used to be capable of, and if that is Lars drumming raw I'm a soused goose. It's either been edited all to hell, or it's someone else.

This album kicks so much gluteus maximus⚡⚡⚡. They influenced so many speed and thrash metal bands of today's glorious musical epiphany. The Sauce's songs are off the Scoville chart🌶🌶🌶. I've been a Metallica fan ever since they came out. I really love this song it is awesome.
IMO this is some of the best stuff they've put out since the Black Album.
