She was and still so popular in the Polynesian community as well. Every time I go back to the pacific islands they be playing her music and they also converted her songs into their languages which is how big she is. She was is icon.

This is one of three concerts she did in the Houston Astrodome and broke attendance records every year. She just enjoyed Disco and chose to sing it in this concert. That's why she made this outfit. She also covered a lot of different artists too , from Michael to Janet , New Edition, C&C Music Factory , Jody Watley, etc , etc, etc

They'll never be a female talent with so many wonderful traits wrapped in one individual. There may be slightly better voices such as Karen Carpenter and Whitney Houston; but they did not have the pure, raw, physical feminine attraction draw and dance capabilities as Selena. She felt her songs so completely, she was able to convey it instantly, to her audience. A unique treasure that was tragically taken from all of us. RIP, Selena.

The transition to The Hustle is my favorite part of this medley! The crowd went crazy for it!
