Haha that was my favourite base. I made the bottom a false base, layered 3very stair with a gate, then lived up top and sniped. Surprisingly not many people visited or looked at it.
9:20 I logged out in that shed on experimental before a long time break and when I came back it was based up pretty heavy. Took me a few days of checking in every few hours to get a pair of pliers to pop the locks off from inside. Best part of these Radio Tower sheds is they can spawn damned near anything in the game that is non-military or medical. That little bit of info might be worth tossing up an edit in the video description box.
I would also say the industrial area North of the Myshkino tents is decent, you have a large metal shed for storing vehicles, a piano building, and lumber supplies, as well as being close to military loot and water. Though there are more wolves in that area of the map so making it back to base as a freshie is tougher. Currently I play solo so my only base is currently a tent in the woods, or an improvised shelter or two when I can't find a tent yet. If I place it in a decent spot out of the way, and I avoid drawing attention to myself, I don't get bothered.
The radio tower is a bad base spot. I don’t judge the way you see the base, but it is the easiest base to raid for 2 friends. As long as not every fence is extra covered by a player fence, you and your friend can boost one over the “normal” mash fence things (sorry, english is not my first language). Next to the tower (don’t ask me the exact spot, it is not basically 2 meters next to it lol) is a rock formation. One player needs to stand, not crouching, beneath these rocks. The other player jumps on top of his friend and then make a short but slippery way towards the mash fence. Now both players need to jump almost exactly at the same time (bottom player needs to jump a few milliseconds earlier then the player on top.) and boom, the top player is inside the base. Pro tip: either have enough to build a watchtower + stairs, or just build a wall with this half platform thing, so you can get on top of this little building to then jump out of the compound. Or if the base is stupidly build, you can deconstruct the entrance if it hasn’t a 3/4 dial on it. Me and a friend did this 2 weeks ago and “discovered” this way of raiding that particular base. Once again im sorry for bad language and or grammar. I hope you all have fun with this neat little trick.
@@JamieeeG I don't dupe and agree base raiding is too easy. Takes hours or days to build a base, it takes maybe 10 minutes to find some plastic explosives and a detonator to bring it down
I raided some newspawn killers earlier and they didn't have a front gate so I took as much stuff as I could in a truck then threw all of the stuff I couldn't carry outside where they couldn't find it
@@Grinz285 do you know any servers where everyone spawns at one location. I accidentally stumbled upon a server like that in official but after a week I couldn’t get into it any longer. It was the funniest servers I played in bcz everyone are literally freshies like me
My first ever base was on an official server and built it in Rogovo moustache house. I was that paranoid, that despite usually rather empty server I didn't even cut down tress for planks in the immediate surrroundings, only slightly into the forest and you won't believe, how happy I was, that with very little hours put into the game I got to find a barrel and AK-74 in Zeleno. It managed to survive up until wipe hit.
Schools and construction sites are the best bases imo for larger groups, they have internal room and decent overlooks to the surrounding areas most the time - both can be tricky and costly to build in but both are very satisfying to have and large enough for big groups Have always built in them from the Mod days until now and they have never let me down just hard to defend if you have a small group at times
I been using the top of the skyrise apartment in Cherno. I have three gates on the way up. Top gate at roof and walls of last stairs has barbed wire that I attach when inside and before logging out. Anyone coming up the stairs is pushed into barbed wire and has high risk of death if not able to excape quickly.
I’m new at the game. No idea what I’m doing I’m just surviving but as of an hour ago I managed to best a player with tons of guns and I had a Glock and got him in 3 shots . He had everything I needed and more and now I’m scared to get on and possibly lose it all . Love the videos and they’re a big help how to approach the game next time I play
A friend and I built a base at a place we have noticed pretty much no one to come by like ever. It is based in the north of Novo in the big skyscrapers near the hospital. A place pretty much everybody avoids because there is pretty much nothing to get there besides meds. At first we built in on the lower side because once you block the door you can only get into the base with a stylish vault option that pretty much nobody will notice unless they are particularly skilled at trying to climb everything they see.
Another great video. Best part is the Nokia admin hammer lol. I loved those phones back in the day 😂. Also apartments in cherno are great small bases. One wall is all you need. No one will ever check all those small apartment rooms.
Ran with a group that was building in Orlovets. It's a fish bowl surrounded by hills. 1 or 2 snipers hiding in the trees can keep an entire group pinned down.
It’s more designed towards Pc players when we built there on the DayZ mod most people who built there had helis and armoured vehicles to get in and out all the time not to mention the building was much better back then
@@MochineMike I'm on PC as well. The group had just started building when I joined. We got camped a few times, even with an armored vehicle. Someone would have to get out to open the gates. Our main builder also got killed multiple times while building up walls. It might be great once it's done but early in the process we were sitting ducks quite a lot.
Pretty sure I got the idea of the yellow factory buildings in the industrial areas from your videos. The one on the outskirts in novo has been very good to me
I like the asphalt/cement factory at the east edge of Novaya Petrovka. Several heli crash sites around, easy access to Tisy and NWAF. Several buildings that can be sealed off with just 2 fences/gates. Food, water, and medical nearby.
Bro the first one looks so fun. Just took over a single barn near the top left corner of map. Server has plenty of vehicles so I wanted to be out of the way because I won’t miss out on hot spots
I suggest you building ON TOP of the concrete walls. Once you put a car, you can vault through the wall while standing on a car. Offroad and V3S will work just fine
Personally I like to use one of the two factory buildings on the north end of Elektro,its got alot of room and just needs a gate and a fence so its pretty cheap to fortify.
I personally still prefer building in the middle of nowhere, when you have survivors who tend to follow roads, paths and railway tracks, if you're set up in the middle of the woods, very rare someone will find you unless they're one of those survivors that use the forests to travel.
I’ve based in that spot in zeleno a few times a couple things not mentioned is the fruit trees that spawn right outside very handy for food. And the military spot down the road, but be carful there’s hills to snipe in
yes, zelenogorsk base and town both are on the random gas list. always keep a watch on the sky for the red flare if you hear a distant boom, and RUN if you see it!
@@ghomerhustI think you only have 45 seconds from hearing the boom until you’re caught in the gas zone. If you’re inside your base, trying to unlock all your door to get out is a death sentence lol
Me and my 5 man crew build big bases everywhere and were pretty good at it. It’s just literally impossible to defend a base once some other group want to raid it. There’s just too much explosives making every base easily raidable. We had a vault with 20(!) gates and it still got raided in the middle of the night in about 3 hours.
There is a barn south west of svetloyarsk just uphill from the gas station, very easy to fence off especially with bbp mod, also a lot of rook to expand for a garage etc and a shed that i found quite a few nails spawning in when i used to base there
I built my Solo base in Pavlovo Military, in the Contaminated Zone, on the roof of the Mail Building, i have clean air and its basically impossible to climb the Ladder, so i can sleep without worrying about my loot.

You can filter by type of beat/mood, once you find a few of the things you like make it into its own playlist and itll suggest similar tracks at the bottom

The first base isn’t the best location in the current update since you can easily glitch into them from the outside. Until they increase the base health of walls or add 6-dial combo locks, it’s not really worth the time and effort it takes to gather all the materials and make a base. No matter how fortified it is, its going to be discovered, and someone will sit there for an hour cycling through all the codes to get into it
It can take two hours to get through one four dial. The best thing to do is not build a base at first. Save up 4 dials, wire, nails and sharpening stones to the point that you can build 10 layers if you're gonna build more you should build in a city or town

Good place what I've been using alot is the forest right behind the Tunnel :) Had a base, There for 2 months without even having a person finding my base on a high pop Server Just follow the Power Line into the woods once your at the hunter camp.
I have been trying to build fences similar to those shown at 3:11 for about 4 hours now, and it is impossible on official servers. I don't get it though because the ground seems 100% flat. Devs must have killed this.
Don’t forget that ied’s will blow through any base within 5 mins because of duplicating cheating 😂. Moral of the story never ever build bases in DAYZ. Until they willingly stop allowing cheaters.
Sorry, but this take is way off. Bases cause stagnation. Servers where every castle is someone's giant base are boooring. They could make base raiding harder, but then they'd have to wipe the servers every month unless they want the same 7 dudes raiding each other's bases and nobody else to play.
I disagree… bases are great for when you die. You have a place to head back to to get geared up and continue to explore and grab more gear. If give you a place to store things. Today, our base got raided. We had it for less than 2 weeks and it had a bunch of goodie. Now we’re back to square one. That’s just that game. I don’t see how bases make it a bad game.. or stagnate. Nobody is just sitting in their base all day.. if you are, that’s probably why you’re not having much fun.
@salvadoresouza8917 yeah, I've had many bases. I'm telling you that nothing is more annoying than coming into a town, and 1/3 of the buildings are someone's base. Loot? Sorry sucka. There's 3 groups of people permanently camping it. So, no, regular base wipes are necessary to keep the game from becoming lame. I'd also be open to tripling the amount of c4 that drops.

To be honest everything you told is actually a lie!!! The places that you recommend is not able to build on the ground and that is for official servers!!! I think in community servers it will work so mention that the next time when u try 2 making videos. Like the devs are the ones that encourage to build outside (ruined the overal basebuilding in game)
In this game, we spend hours planning the location, hours collecting materials to build the bases, hours building the base so a hacker can easily find it, enter and destroy all your hard work. This happens EVERY time. Unfortunately it's a dead game!
dead game? theres more people playing now than a few years ago, and close to 10,000 modded servers. VANILLA is having issues because of all the hackers, but modded servers are going strong

As a PvE player, my favorite place to build is at Kalinka. Just west of the NWAF entrance. That green house with a complementary pile of bodies

3 floors and higher don't get gassed. So you're good atop the firestation in zeleno

The first base is just too costly and easy to raid depending how you set up the inside
Also apartments are great for defense, but horrendous for offense. All raiders have to do is hold you at the entrance and you can’t push out
Not to mention there’s also a glitch with those long wooden buildings where you can easily clip through the walls

Don’t forget that ied’s will blow through any base within 5 mins because of duplicating cheating 😂. Moral of the story never ever build bases in DAYZ. Until they willingly stop allowing cheaters.
Raiding is to ez and to open all locks is pain in the ass so not even worth time to build, sadly
Sorry, but this take is way off. Bases cause stagnation. Servers where every castle is someone's giant base are boooring. They could make base raiding harder, but then they'd have to wipe the servers every month unless they want the same 7 dudes raiding each other's bases and nobody else to play.
I disagree… bases are great for when you die. You have a place to head back to to get geared up and continue to explore and grab more gear. If give you a place to store things. Today, our base got raided. We had it for less than 2 weeks and it had a bunch of goodie. Now we’re back to square one. That’s just that game. I don’t see how bases make it a bad game.. or stagnate. Nobody is just sitting in their base all day.. if you are, that’s probably why you’re not having much fun.
@salvadoresouza8917 yeah, I've had many bases. I'm telling you that nothing is more annoying than coming into a town, and 1/3 of the buildings are someone's base. Loot? Sorry sucka. There's 3 groups of people permanently camping it. So, no, regular base wipes are necessary to keep the game from becoming lame. I'd also be open to tripling the amount of c4 that drops.
@@aaronstolz9936Then play community, with custom rules. official sucks when playing solo. It’s almost always shoot on site and new players can’t even join groups. Kinda boring in my opinion
@Crispy_DAWG that doesn't make sense. Community is where the base stagnation is the worst. In Public, it's basically impossible to keep a base for more than a week or two anyway

To be honest everything you told is actually a lie!!! The places that you recommend is not able to build on the ground and that is for official servers!!! I think in community servers it will work so mention that the next time when u try 2 making videos. Like the devs are the ones that encourage to build outside (ruined the overal basebuilding in game)

In this game, we spend hours planning the location, hours collecting materials to build the bases, hours building the base so a hacker can easily find it, enter and destroy all your hard work. This happens EVERY time. Unfortunately it's a dead game!
You don't even need to use hacks, just signing in can reveal a lot of hidden things...
dead game? theres more people playing now than a few years ago, and close to 10,000 modded servers. VANILLA is having issues because of all the hackers, but modded servers are going strong

@@grantfreeman5327yuuup. Every base I've built is raided in a few days, I have dozens of grass tents that have never been touched. Got one setup on almost every spawn point so if I die I can immediately gear up.
