Becky, when I got married, at my shower, we sent everyone a recipe card in their invitation. They were to bring their favorite recipe with them so I would have a recipe box started with everyone else's recipes. I ended up with a ton of recipes that are all good. I am an avid cook and baker.
I was really shocked when you said you are 33 weeks. Girl you are just doing amazing! Probably an unpopular opinion, but I was extremely thankful to hear you arent changing the direction of your channel to. I am super excited to see you thrive through motherhood, but (I guess selfishly) super happy to keep learning and being inspired by all your fantastic content.
It's not an unpopular opinion. We don't need to know what's happening with her new baby all the time, we aren't going anywhere and when the baby arrives we will totally understand that this beautiful family need time, peace and love. I'm not here for a baby show, I'm here because Beccy is an amazing woman, who's enthusiasm and commitment to her family is an exemplary example to us all. We hope Beccy takes plenty time for herself though, I couldn't even think of doing all the stuff she's doing at 33 weeks.
I absolutely love your channel you are my favorite channel on all of UA-cam and by the way I hope your baby comes December the 10th that is my birthday and I'll be 71 years old
Definitely Top 3 UA-cam channel. It's safe to say #1 homesteading channel. The other day I randomly asked my 8 year old son if he know what I'm watching he said " Acre Homestead with Becky" 😂😂
Becky don’t ever worry about your videos being to long. I love when you post a video and it’s at least 45 mins long. That’s how long I ride my stationary bike. So I save your videos for that time. It makes the time just fly by!
I know you must be so tired from baby growing (pregnancy was never kind to me either) but you just look so cute and excited when you cook . I'm amazed you can even look that energetic at this stage (even if you are actually exhausted). Lol
Yes she looks very beautiful pregnant and she loves cooking so we get to enjoy watching you without the work of cooking lol and we learn new recipes love it 🙏🤗🙏❤
@@gwendolyncarswell6297 I agree 100% how beautiful she is being pregnant but also pre pregnant ! Her beautiful face, her shinny hair piled upon her head, her tiny size, woman are so critical of their self! Stop! Her beautiful hands with the best manicure ever. .And I see today her beautiful bump! And the happiness for Josh.
Becky, several years ago, my sister took a few recipes from my grandmother and Great Aunt, and had them transferred to tea towels. She surprised each of my other sisters with tea towels that had our favorite recipes on them. It may be a fun gift for Josh's family members as well. Or get recipes from your family and do the same for your siblings. I have never used them as tea towels, but treasure them immensely.
With foil, a trick to remember ... shine side in for browning and dull side in for slower, deeper heat. You have become a daily favourite in this household, we all enjoy your videos… Myself, my husband my brother and My 82-year-old dad all watch you together.
New research shows that there is no difference in which side goes down. Bc when the foil is made the reason why one side is dull is bc of the milling process
I always thought that about foil also but just found out scientifically there is no difference on which side you use. It's only looks different cause of the process they use to make it.
I’m a 65 year old Grandma. I’ve been baby watching. Lol. Your aprons are so cute and they’ve been doing a pretty good job of hiding baby. But today…. Baby was saying hi to all your subscribers. I’m so excited for you and Josh! I remember my first baby. It’s such a fun time of life. Your baby bump is adorable. I’ve been watching those bananas on that shelf. And I’ve been hoping you’d do some Banana Bread or something like that. This was super fun.
Thank you Becky for continuing to post a video every other day, it really is exciting to watch you being excited to share with us and I feel like we are all hanging out with you just relaxing 😊
Hey Becky. Really enjoyed this video. It’s almost 10pm and I just got home after 6 hours of emergencies lights and siren ambulances and a hospital. Now I am having a smoke relaxing outside watching your video. Thank you so much. Being able to live vicariously through you in many ways means the world to me. I know you talked about it in a recent video and couldn’t find the details. It’s The refillable candle from HOA? Thank you. Also. Why not get a hook for the cast iron to hang on the wall in the kitchen. It would be a decoration, easy access for cooking and free up storage space
Okay! literally the most heartwarming thing, is pulling out handwritten recipes from family. Especially if they have passed. It feels like getting hug I'm totally craving banana bread now and I think this is the push to try making some. Thanks for a great video as always Becky!! 🥰
There are several artisans on Etsy who make pie pans or trays that have an original picture of any hand written recipe on it. Last Christmas I had one of my mother’s favorite recipes on pie pans to give as gifts. They came out beautifully and it was so wonderful to see mom’s handwriting on the plates. Perhaps your family would appreciate having Josh’s grandmother’s recipes done that way to keep.
What a neat idea! We have an apple bread recipe that was passed down from my mom. My son and his children love it, I should have this done with a loaf pan! I actually had my mom rewrite her recipe and I laminated it, the original was covered in gunk.
The two of you are just the sweetest couple. I love how you both compliment each other so much, and how willing Josh is to try anything and everything.
Hi Becky! I just started watching your channel a few weeks ago. My husband and I have a big garden and I enjoy the challenge of preserving food to last the whole year. I bought a freeze drier last fall too. I found the first time I changed the oil it was really dark. I decided to just throw it, so it will be interesting to see how yours filters out. Since then, the oil comes out a lot lighter and I am filtering and reusing the oil. I’m also in the middle of moving to a new home 5 hours away. So harvesting in the middle of a move has been challenging. The new home has a fenced in garden area and a small greenhouse that we’re pretty excited about. Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your journey on UA-cam.
Becky - we have both a med. and a large HRFD and we run batches pretty much non-stop. I would suggest that you change your oil before you reach 30 batches. For us, we change oil on the freeze dryers every month - one per month, at the end of the month whether it needs it or not. Last batch of the month, turn off the FD, open drain valve, set to defrost and start the oil draining. You can do that when you take out your product to package. It will become automatic. I would also get in the habit of wiping out the rack and drum inside before you refill the oil and start the next batch. Takes a couple minutes at most. I added a separate line on my freeze dryer journal for the oil change and cleanout. We freeze dry for 3 families and have a good sized garden, someone that fishes and someone that hunts so our machines and canner seem to go alllll the time.
My son had double jaw surgery 4 days ago, he’s doing well now but there was a bit of stress over the weekend I find this such a calming place to be thanks Becky and Josh for sharing your homestead with us
Enjoyed as always. Working my night shift in healthcare. You are by far my favorite on the internet. Thank you for all you. It’s not because we have the same name 😂😂 Take care, Becky A.

Absolutely love that you have her hand written recipes!!! I have my mom’s (passed in 2010😢) recipes too and I also treasure dearly! ❤ from Kristy in Missouri zone 6b 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good grief! You’re a genius! I’m thinking those of us who don’t have freeze dryers could also use commercial dried cream and just mix up the dry ingredients.
I tried that and unfortunately wasnt too impressed with the results but it may have been because i experimented with almond milk instead of dairy as base for the flavored creamer. I may try it again with dairy milk since that freeze dries well. Freeze dried pumpkin powder is phenomenal though!
I was thinking that myself, and last night when I was cooking I was thinking - oh, I could freeze dry this.... such numerous possibilities with that thing! It is now my only Christmas request :)
I can't get over the dishwasher comment about Josh! It's so funny how much I find that me and my husband are so much like you guys! We have been together 8 years and are the same age. I definitely have a lot of the same mindset as Josh and my husband is definitely the care free spirit that you tend to be. I just love your channel and all the wonderful content you share with all of us!
Hi Becky, my name is Cecelia Simms and live in Riverview Michigan. I love watching your video's. You are so sweet and kind. I've only been watching you cook for about maybe 6 months now. I love the fact that you're Mom and Dad are in some of you're video's. I used to love cooking but a couple of years ago I was having health with my health. I'm trying my best to get back into cooking again. You have some really fantastic recipes to try. So I have been trying out some of you're video's and I really love making them. Well at least they try to let me know yay or nay. I live alone so I think that they don't want to say a negative answer because they all want to be you're taste tester. They all (LOVE) you're recipes and so do I. Well Becky, thank you for sharing and I really love you're new house, (soon to be you're home). You and you're husband deserve it. Take care, (you and family) and stay safe. See you on you're next video. See you soon. Love you girl. 💝💖❤😍😉💗👍👊😁😊😎
I love watching your videos! I live alone. I also LOVE meatloaf. I make a big... double batch and scoop into my cupcake /muffin tins. I then freeze them. After freezing I toss my tiny meatloaf into a freezer bag. I can usually eat 2 at a time. So simple and easy! I cooked a HUGE crockpot of ham and beans the other night. All night long. The next morning I diced 4 small potatoes into the beans. ( you don't really taste the potatoes... but they help starch up the beans a bit. Once cooled we spooned into ziplocks and froze them flat. I think I got like 14 meals from this! Yummy on a cold day for sure!
Loved this vlog❤️my husband and I are a newly retired couple. Love the Josh taste test everytime ❤️can't wait to see the gardening project with a greenhouse? Love your nesting stage. It will all smooth out with baby!!! Have two grown men, not one season with them that we Did not love. And the Bonus is the grandchildren ❤️❤️❤️So excited for you two and your families. My husband loves Joshes workshop and I love your new basement and kitchen Go Becki and Josh❤️
Proud of you for changing the oil in the freeze dryer. Lately I have had to step out of my box with several home repairs and I know how intimidating it can be. Great job.
Becky I was told by a doctor years ago to elevate your legs 5 minutes above your heart I'm 83 and have no issues with my legs.you are amazing I love watching you.ALOHA
Hope you and Josh are feeling better! Just wanted to say That you’re in my thoughts and prayers! Also thank you for another video!! Stay strong and be safe.. you’re almost done cooking your baby in your oven.. hugs and kisses xo kat ❤

I know she’s been having a hard time being pregnant and just wanted to let her know that we’re all thinking, praying and cheering her on ❤️ I love her new home and can’t wait to see if she gives birth to a boy/girl and what name Josh and Becky has chosen for him/her. Thank you for commenting and blessing to you and your family ❤️
On my 30th birthday, my mother made me a recipe book with both sets of grandmothers family recipes. Italian, Lebanese, and Croatian dishes. I love it so much and I will pass it to my children. Such a thoughtful loving gift. I spend most of my daytime in the kitchen, so it was a perfect gift. Family celebration of the past! ❤❤
I absolutely love your videos!!! I love the tricks that you share. I am looking forward to trying some of those recipes for the holidays. I can NOT believe how good you look. You really are an inspiration to all women/mother's, etc. And you encourage us so much that we can do it. You know how you say "hey friends" on your videos. Well I'm usually watching your videos when I'm doing laundry or cleaning. My son she's me "what are you watching"? He looks and says oh it's this friend Becky! I said yeah it is! I just love love how humble you are and how true to your self you are and that you do care about your friends (us -your followers)!
I love love love to see the appreciation for grandmas recipes! I am putting together recipe cards for my daughter and daughter in laws for Christmas this year and I hope they will enjoy them as much as I do!
Oh yum…I’m making those potatoes tonight. I made your pork chops in gravy and it was a big hit. Always love watching your videos. You are so real and I appreciate you!
I have my mother in laws recipe cards and it is the most sweetest gift from her. They are written in Her handwriting and it is just a special piece of her. I can remember the recipes when she made them and how they smelled. 💕💕
I'm happy to be here with you!😁 I made the apple baked oatmeal, and it was SO good!👍 Thank you so much for taking the time to share these recipes with us!🙂
You made me smile at the end with the big “Mmm” and shoulder shrug after tasting the potatoes. You are just so real! That’s why you’ve blown up and have such a big community. You’re my favorite channel and I’ve made quite a few of your recipes!!
That just all looked warming and delicious. I'm happy that your landscaping plans are coming together. It must be so nice to have experienced council for such an expensive and important endeavor. .
Your filter is so much nicer than mine! Ours (from Harvest Right) looks like a middle school science fair project. It is two (medium and large sized) plastic jars (like the kind your cocoa covered almonds from Sam's Club come in) that are glued and screwed together, one atop the other, with a third, smaller, tub filled with stuffing and a paper filter, attached to the underside of the larger tub. The smaller tub has four holes melted into the bottom, where the oil drains into the larger tub. Clearly, they have refined their design!
I so love tuning into your channel-it’s got all the things and all the feels! It’s like years ago when I would look forward to sitting down in the evening and watching my favourite show on TV! I’m so hooked and find myself awaiting notification that a new episode is live! Thanks so much Becky for such amazing content! ❤️
Becky, you bring a smile on my face every time I see your program. Your so real and I love it. Thank you, you and your husband are awesome. Going to try your recipes ..
You're amazing. I know you're exhausted but you still are putting in so much effort showing up and looking put together 💚 I had a hard pregnancy with a lot of similar symptoms and towards the end I looked like a hag all the time lol. I see your effort. I feel especially your hip pain. You're so inspiring.
I make mini meat loaves once a month or so. Usually end up with anywhere between 12 to 24. I cook them up, put them in a freezer bag and take out a couple for dinner or meat loaf sandwiches in the a.nm. for that day. Lazy day meal! Just add veggies! Lol!
I love how you use every part of veggie/fruit so nothing goes to waste!! Like I love the way you powder things too! And then the rest go to the chickens!! That’s so awesome!
You are amazing! And I love how Josh loves you! Warms my heart! I will try those potatoes minus the olive oil!! Thank you Becky for making us all smile!
Becky, I just wanted to write and let you know how much I enjoy and look forward to watching what you're doing in your kitchen and life. I am unable to do most of the things that you do, but I am trying the best that I can and you inspire me to do what I can. I'm praying for you and Josh and the little one growing inside of you. Yes, pregnancy can be exhausting, scary, and exciting all at once. You can do this. God's got your back and Josh is there too! My advice, that you might not even want, but with all three of my babies I took it. Rest when you can and get LOTS of cuddles. They grow up WAY too fast. You blink and they're teens. Enjoy baby and life! Thanks again for doing what you do. Many blessings upon you and yours!
If I want to make banana cake I always put them in the freezer the day before (if I don't already have some in there) freezing them brings out so much more flavour and takes the cake to a deeper level of colour.... Love your videos 💞💞
I can't wait to try that new granola you made last video..Today I Pressure Canned up pints of black beans, kidney beans and quarts of the homemade cabbage soup I cooked up yesterday.. You inspire me to branch out and go out of my comfort zone.
@@MFV77 , Yes we made a big stock pot of cabbage soup..My bestie gifted me a 9 lb cabbage and I only used half between the soup and flash freezing some up shredded for later use.
Was hoping to see a video today 🎉 Thank you so much for the pumpkin creamer recipe and roll recipe. I have an abundance of pumpkin and needed some interesting ideas. You’re the best❤
500 bulbs of garlic, Oh my! Roasted garlic would also be a delicious gift. No need to peel garlic! Just roast the whole bulbs then squeeze out the sweet garlic into a 2 or 4 oz little jar. Stores 2 - 3 days in fridge and 2-3 months in the freezer! Use on garlic bread, pizza, pasta dishes, mashed potatoes, etc.
Two thumbs up Becky. you faced your fear with that oil change . Good for you I am impressed. Happy Birthday to your mom! Can't wait for you to share the landscape details with us.

I tried that and unfortunately wasnt too impressed with the results but it may have been because i experimented with almond milk instead of dairy as base for the flavored creamer. I may try it again with dairy milk since that freeze dries well. Freeze dried pumpkin powder is phenomenal though!
I thought that's what Beccy was doing untill she put it in the jars🤷
I was thinking that myself, and last night when I was cooking I was thinking - oh, I could freeze dry this.... such numerous possibilities with that thing! It is now my only Christmas request :)
If i had a freez dryer i feel like i would freeze dry EVERYTHING 😂😂 Sometimes im watching her videos and im like, " i would freeze dry that" haha
Watching your videos brings so much happiness to my heart, I find myself smiling the entire time. I pray many blessings for you and your family.
Having my coffee with you in your kitchen while you cook. SOOOO enjoy your videos Becky. You’re just a little whirlwind 🥰
I treasure old hand written recipis! Treasure them! I put mine in plastic. Loving all your fall ideas. Love & Blessings from Fla.
I love when you and Josh try your food together. I don’t know what it is but it’s sweet.
Becky , I’m so excited about your garden next spring it’s my favorite time . Take care of yourself & your little one !
Great job.
You sound like an amazing woman too!!! I know it can be hard I've been there this year too. Prayers, hugs and love!! Stay safe and blessed!!

I love her new home and can’t wait to see if she gives birth to a boy/girl and what name Josh and Becky has chosen for him/her.
Thank you for commenting and blessing to you and your family ❤️
The oil keeps the butter from burning. You are so good at this. Thank you.
Having not the greatest day. I was so hoping your new video would be out- such a comfort to spend time with you in the kitchen!
Happy birthday to your mom! We love her! -a friend in KS 🌻
I love love love to see the appreciation for grandmas recipes! I am putting together recipe cards for my daughter and daughter in laws for Christmas this year and I hope they will enjoy them as much as I do!
We just love you guys!! great video always!! good job Becky!!!
I'm happy to be here with you!😁 I made the apple baked oatmeal, and it was SO good!👍 Thank you so much for taking the time to share these recipes with us!🙂
I love when you try new recipes. It gives me courage to try new things also. Thank you for sharing.
You made me smile at the end with the big “Mmm” and shoulder shrug after tasting the potatoes. You are just so real! That’s why you’ve blown up and have such a big community. You’re my favorite channel and I’ve made quite a few of your recipes!!
Thank you for explaining the empirical system of spoons of different sizes !
You and Josh are so sweet together. Y'all are going to be the best Mommy and Daddy. 💞
That just all looked warming and delicious. I'm happy that your landscaping plans are coming together. It must be so nice to have experienced council for such an expensive and important endeavor. .
Lol loved Josh's reaction to the "viral" potatoes 😂. Y'all are both so cute!
Always a highlight of our day! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring us all!
Your channel looks awesome....just subbed :)
@@sewingstoryprojects6178 awe thank you so much for the support! ❤️
Is there anyone in Josh's family that would enjoy those recipe cards? Because scanning and printing those would make awesome Christmas gifts.
I LOVE BECKYS SOUND EFFECTS!!!! ADORABLE ❤
I've seen people freeze dry eggs to preserve for baking or scrambles. Something to consider if you have more eggs than you can use before they go bad.
Thank you busy bee! It’s always a pleasure to watch you😍
Oh my gosh! Perfect timing! I was craving meatloaf and can't wait to give your recipe a try!
I know, right! I'm going to be making meatloaf tomorrow... Yum!
Becky, you bring a smile on my face every time I see your program. Your so real and I love it. Thank you, you and your husband are awesome. Going to try your recipes ..
You're amazing.
I know you're exhausted but you still are putting in so much effort showing up and looking put together 💚
I had a hard pregnancy with a lot of similar symptoms and towards the end I looked like a hag all the time lol.
I see your effort. I feel especially your hip pain. You're so inspiring.
You truly are one of the most beautiful people, inside and out! Thank you friend for all you do and all you teach!
You are so adorable and watching you doing all the things makes me so happy. I’ve learned lots of things and I’m so glad I found your channel!
You are at your very best when cooking in the kitchen. :) Your enthusiasm is contageous.
Your parents and Josh’s raised a couple of wonderful children!
Mmmm I just love smelling food cook in the kitchen! Fall is my favorite season, so cozy!!! That and Winter of course ♥
What a treasure to have grandma’s recipe cards! I would thoroughly enjoy a garlic party with you 🎃
Sooooooo excited to see how the new garden develops!
Homemade ketchup and crispy potatoes! Mouth watering! Love to watch you ❤️ hope your cake turned out as you wanted it to and happy birthday to Mom!!
Yum! I love the idea of canning cabbage soup. Did you make up the recipe?
@@MFV77 , Yes we made a big stock pot of cabbage soup..My bestie gifted me a 9 lb cabbage and I only used half between the soup and flash freezing some up shredded for later use.
i love watching ur fur babies walk around with u lol
The dogs are soo freaking cute watching you load the dishwasher ❤
Two thumbs up Becky. you faced your fear with that oil change . Good for you I am impressed. Happy Birthday to your mom! Can't wait for you to share the landscape details with us.
