Oh I remember the 1975 debacle very well. Like it was yesterday. The build up began around the year 1968 and got more intense with each passing year. Then 1976. A great silence fell. No mention of 1975. No one would even talk about it and if you chose to talk about it, you were shut down right away. Then, came the denial. It became very clear, you had better stop talking about it. This from the same ones that were so excited about it. I thought it was so strange. Before 1975 there were talks being given how the end was so very close. No use going to college. You would never get to complete your education. There just wasn't enough time. The great gathering before the end was on. But in 1976,,,,,,,,,silence. Just silence. But, I learned, this wasn't the first time. It had all happened before. Funny how I was never told about it. All I had ever heard was how 1914 was a marked date. That this generation would not pass away until all these things would occur. But something did occur. I came to realize that the witnesses were false prophets. Not just once but many times. Suddenly the image I had of the organization started falling apart. It was like coming out of a dark room and into the bright sunlight. I wanted everyone to see it. Little did I know how few would want to know.

Jim Sherlock I studied in the 80s. Not 1 person mentioned '75 to me. I've not been able to understand why. Your telling of the silence which ensued helps me. I was 12 in 1975. I remember everything that was stated in watchtower literature before and during that time. Then 1976 nothing happened. Look at now 2018 and nothing.

Both are very clever, they are misleading or another words deceiving millions of people. Just like revelation 12 :9 describes the serpent as the devil Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. And in revelation20:10 says that the devil who received them was thrown into the lake of fire 🔥. This Organization is getting better and better at using deception successfully. We were so waiting for this latest edition. Ray Franz comes over on videos as being very humble. He and his wife and the others cast out during that period suffered a lot but he left an important legacy that is still helping to free people. So glad we can realistically access his knowledge again. 🌻

When the 'Truth' book came out, we were told it is a 6 month bible study aid. If people have not responded to their study after 6 months, we should stop the study and move on to someone else. They said there simply was not time to have bible studies with people who were not responding to the information in the book.

November of 1978 I went to live with my father, I had turned18, Armageddon hadn’t come yet. In 1981 I finished junior college, and got my own apartment, Armageddon hadn’t come yet. In 1989 I had my son and moved to another state. In 2015 my son became a father again, with the birth of his fourth child, Armageddon hadn’t come yet. Now it’s 2021, And we’re in the middle of a pandemic, the great tribulation hasn’t happened nor has Armageddon. Hmmm, looks like Armageddon ain’t comming! LOL
I’m so glad to hear from the horses mouth the feelings that were very real in the 70’s and even 60’s ramping up to the 75 climax. The spin now is a polar opposite of what really happened. Like they rewrote history. The hype now is said to be the weak serving God with a date in mind. Like you David I lived through this time period. I also remember reading Ray's book in the early 80's. I changed my college plans in 66 based on this prediction. It's been so many years since I read this stuff that it's so interesting to review it now. I actually got my parents to read "Crisis of Conscience ". They felt bad about the organizational blunders, but failed to see the obvious false teachings they had invested their lives in. They died as witnesses.. Love your work.

I was a teenager in 1975, later teens in that year. I was not one of Jehovah's witnesses. I had a friend whose mother was a JW. She wanted me to study with her when I was around 15. I read some books, including "Babylon the Great has Fallen - God's kingdom Rules!", "Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God", "Then is Finished the Mystery of God". "The Truth that Leads to Eternal Life", and one or two others. When 1975 came and went I completely lost interest in JW prophetic speculations and I bought a book called "Apostles of Denial" by Edmund Gruss which, together with other books, helped to settle my views about how erroneous JW teaching is (and was). 1975 was a big thing in the years when I was between 15 and 19. Very big. But when it failed many people left the JWs and rightly so. Their beliefs are ad-hock nonsense created without any serious attempt to be honest about history or the bible.

The greatest thing about Ray's books is the tone. As informative as they are, the most beneficial aspect of their lesson for us was Ray's hesitation about judging anyone -- even the leaders, who seemed to be just as much captives of a concept as the pawns in the game.

1874 AD is Adventist not WatchTower as year 6000. It is based on the worshipping the KJV at Acts 13:20 which is in the Gods Sons of 1000 years book showing that all other Bibles that have been produced in the 1960s-1970s prove it should read 450 years forefathers to judges, not forefathers to 450 years judges. Which is why 1874 was drop and became 1975 as year 6000, This drop changes Flood 2472bc and 2470bc to 2370bc. of which in 360-day calendar jehovah showed me that 360-day calendar ends year 6000 (1913-1914) in 1914. The WatchTower did not CARE when this was submitted to them. Eli's house was condemned only because Eli told Samuel at age 5 that the voice thru the tent wall was jehovah (unaware it was Jepthah's daughter). It looks like apart from some failed dates, the Watchtower still teaches truths about God. Some people let dates stumble them. Jesus warned his followers about relying on dates, about speculating but did not say that his followers will be free from that. What matters, I think, is that they do preach the message about the Kingdom and left , mostly, the pagan practises interwoven into christian faith over the centuries . The organisation is most likely to experience worse things than failed dates, in future. Matthew 24 : 10.
Hello Adam The ORG does teach SOME truth. The problem is that when it comes to God, Jesus, the Spirit, life after death -- we cannot TEST their interpretive abilities till it is too late. The only way we can test them before we leave this planet is by their track record of interpreting prophecy. And so far they are scoring 100% failure. So please don't trust them on God and the afterlife -- check out what other more reliable Bible helps have to say. We will do more videos about some of these subjects.

Both are very clever, they are misleading or another words deceiving millions of people. Just like revelation 12 :9 describes the serpent as the devil Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. And in revelation20:10 says that the devil who received them was thrown into the lake of fire 🔥. This Organization is getting better and better at using deception successfully. When the 'Truth' book came out, we were told it is a 6 month bible study aid. If people have not responded to their study after 6 months, we should stop the study and move on to someone else. They said there simply was not time to have bible studies with people who were not responding to the information in the book.

November of 1978 I went to live with my father, I had turned18, Armageddon hadn’t come yet. In 1981 I finished junior college, and got my own apartment, Armageddon hadn’t come yet. In 1989 I had my son and moved to another state. In 2015 my son became a father again, with the birth of his fourth child, Armageddon hadn’t come yet. I’m so glad to hear from the horses mouth the feelings that were very real in the 70’s and even 60’s ramping up to the 75 climax. The spin now is a polar opposite of what really happened. Like they rewrote history. The hype now is said to be the weak serving God with a date in mind. Then those that were selling houses and pioneering were actually made examples of how spiritual they were and a reprimand to those perhaps not doing enough, not trusting the org enough.

Like you David I lived through this time period. I also remember reading Ray's book in the early 80's. I changed my college plans in 66 based on this prediction. It's been so many years since I read this stuff that it's so interesting to review it now.
I actually got my parents to read "Crisis of Conscience ". They felt bad about the organizational blunders, but failed to see the obvious false teachings they had invested their lives in. They died as witnesses..

I was a teenager in 1975, later teens in that year. I was not one of Jehovah's witnesses. I had a friend whose mother was a JW. She wanted me to study with her when I was around 15. I read some books, including "Babylon the Great has Fallen - God's kingdom Rules!", "Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God", "Then is Finished the Mystery of God". "The Truth that Leads to Eternal Life", and one or two others. When 1975 came and went I completely lost interest in JW prophetic speculations and I bought a book called "Apostles of Denial" by Edmund Gruss which, together with other books, helped to settle my views about how erroneous JW teaching is (and was). 1975 was a big thing in the years when I was between 15 and 19. Very big. But when it failed many people left the JWs and rightly so. Their beliefs are ad-hock nonsense created without any serious attempt to be honest about history or the bible.
I remember being angry that the blame was turned on the congregations. I was a teen but quickly returned to the required guilt thinking.

It was interesting to hear about your own background. SO many ex JW youtubers are talented musicians. Have you noticed that? Yep, I can see you in a rock band. I know a number of professional musicians who were playing in the 60s onwards. Sounds like they had some 'interesting' chemical times and they've told me that many of their friends didn't survive the drug taking.
Fascinating that you got so many of your friends to be baptised at the time. Did they stay in, leave, etc? Maybe all is revealed in your follow up videos.

The greatest thing about Ray's books is the tone. As informative as they are, the most beneficial aspect of their lesson for us was Ray's hesitation about judging anyone -- even the leaders, who seemed to be just as much captives of a concept as the pawns in the game.

I was baptized in 1976. I studied the Bible in 1975 so, I guess that's the reason I never heard a single word about all the excitement, It was kinda over the year I started studying. Didn't learn about it till years later, it was just never brought up In my time.

1874 AD is Adventist not WatchTower as year 6000. It is based on the worshipping the KJV at Acts 13:20 which is in the Gods Sons of 1000 years book showing that all other Bibles that have been produced in the 1960s-1970s prove it should read 450 years forefathers to judges, not forefathers to 450 years judges. Which is why 1874 was drop and became 1975 as year 6000, This drop changes Flood 2472bc and 2470bc to 2370bc. of which in 360-day calendar jehovah showed me that 360-day calendar ends year 6000 (1913-1914) in 1914. The WatchTower did not CARE when this was submitted to them. Eli's house was condemned only because Eli told Samuel at age 5 that the voice thru the tent wall was jehovah (unaware it was Jepthah's daughter). The WT is of opinion that if you kill every vice that they as Eli & sons will rule as Jehovah Himself represented by them. But every child born and abused comes as Samuel did. The British license of 1914 thus represents not WT (not Mary) but rather Jesus the 144,000 partakers and they will be touched and God will then avenge their spilt blood as he did for Jesus. Thus what was freed in 1918 was not WT-GB but rather the temple of communion partakers.

There's love among the cliques in the organization, but that is common in every group, club, or organization. I regard to your organization, it doesn't matter how many things you point to as evidence that you are God's organization, Deut. 18 debunks ALL of your evidence. The organization appointed itself as a prophet from the very beginning, and from the very beginning they have proven themselves to be a false prophet, and now even worse; a pedophile paradise. No amount of ministry can make up for that, no matter how "Blessed" the Watchtower magazines tell you you are.
It looks like apart from some failed dates, the Watchtower still teaches truths about God. Some people let dates stumble them. Jesus warned his followers about relying on dates, about speculating but did not say that his followers will be free from that. What matters, I think, is that they do preach the message about the Kingdom and left , mostly, the pagan practises interwoven into christian faith over the centuries .
The organisation is most likely to experience worse things than failed dates, in future. Matthew 24 : 10.

The ORG does teach SOME truth. The problem is that when it comes to God, Jesus, the Spirit, life after death -- we cannot TEST their interpretive abilities till it is too late. The only way we can test them before we leave this planet is by their track record of interpreting prophecy. And so far they are scoring 100% failure. So please don't trust them on God and the afterlife -- check out what other more reliable Bible helps have to say. We will do more videos about some of these subjects.

Gary Avey JWs love to emphasize signs of true religion, love among themselves, preaching etc.(?? abt that) How abt one major sign of a false religion /false prophet. Check Deuteronomy 18:20-22 and see if the watchtower with its several failed prophecies hasn't exposed herself as one. The org actually mentioned your point(no one knows date or hour)in a sentence and brushed it aside in one publication to turn up the urgency abt 1975. And now, u use it as a defence, oblivious of what was said then.
