How does it work with exterior doors?
I haven’t had the chance to try it with exterior doors yet, but I would assume that it works all the same
@@cablebuildslife Have you by chance used it since then? I have one and was gonna replace my front door. Does the glue stick ok to the door flashing or good enough so that it can be routed? That was the only thing I could think might be an issue but it may be totally fine I have no idea b/c I haven't used it on exterior door either.
What does a jambmaster cost? There is no up front prices on their website
It’s around 1k depending on how many extras you get with it. Extension bars, templates, height extenders etc.
You have to purchase it from a Canadian company and at the time of purchase they check to see what the dollar / Canadian dollar exchange rate is and thats the rate you go by b/c they price it in Canadian dollars. I ordered the full package + shipping from Canada and I think it was $700 but that is for the main frame, width extension, height extension, extra router templates, and the shipping.

@@ThekiBoran I know that story very well and spent a lotttt of time reading into that. There is a central bank of central banks (Bank of International Settlements) located in Basel, Switzerland but the land it sits on is its own country per say and the Swiss gov has no jurisdiction over it. It was established after the Fed Resv. Basel was where the World Jewish Congress was held a long time ago and that's where the plans to reacquire Israel were announced at that conference.

By the time you adjust that for each opening and glued the blocks on id have the frame fitted!

well if you used one properly, you'd realize it cuts your time in half and sets a really nice door
He's showing how to set it up. You only change the width of the rack when you change door sizes. In other words you're gonna keep the rack set at a width and knock out all the doors of that width. If you have more doors of another width to hang, you'll adjust the rack width to that width. Yes you'll get started sitting the the jamb in the rough opening sooner but he will pass you after that b/c when he sits the jamb in, he wont have any tweeking and checking level/plumb b/c the blocks will do all that for him. All you have to do is set rack to correct width, plumb the rack when you set it in the rough open, glue and route the blocks. I've set 5 with mine and all 5 were 1 shut test and done. It's when you get into an older house where studs are twisted or slightly out of plumb where it really helps b/c it will take the same amount of time with jambmaster in a new house rough opening or in the worst rough opening you've ever had to work with in a house thats old and settled.
that might very well be the stupidest way to hang a freaking door i have ever seen in my life. talk about time consuming waste of labor OMG
it actually cuts time in half if you properly use it. This is why the industry is suffering, no one wants to try new methods
