Confirms about the experiences I got in Germany with the e-Soul. About 300-350km range on autobahn with max. 120-130kmh. Around 400km when driving 100-110kmh. Really efficient on low speeds, more thirsty on high speeds compared to Kona and Niro.
For the winter mode to be active, the car need to be moving , baterie need to be under 33% and the temperature need to be less than -5 degrees C , I learn this from a Kona forum
Looks like a dead backlight.. It's hopefully LED based, but that still draws some amount of power, and the power delivery circuit could be faulty and overheating. Or there's a connection that suffers when the temperature rises, and becomes a "wackelcontact".
Would it be possible for you to test 3-4 classic Ioniqs 2017/2018 with average milage to check battery degregration? The same as you did in the classic Souls and e-Golfs. I still find the classic Ioniqs a tempting purchase for a daily runaround..
I do get close to 500km normal Swedish highways(100-120km/h) on the E-niro when its 20-25c out, in eco mode. But more realistic is 450km if you don't drive like a grandmother. The cold-gate is annoying as hell when on roadtrips in winter.

Battery heating thing was weird. Was going to say i had seen my Niro continue to heat up to the 25C point but it may have stopped at 15 or so when getting to the threshold for max charging on a 50kW. I don't charge very often on ultra rapid, and when I have I've started with a warm battery. Going to have to turn up at one at 15-20C and see what happens! I was wondering if you meant there was an ambient of 15C above which the heater wasn't active.
yep. Winter mode is for nothing other than maybe, and really just maybe, when car is stationary and battery is freezeing seriously, it will maybe try to heat it to get it above zero... Charging wise, this is like it is always, no fix from KIA for this (some weak promises but only for EV6/Ioniq5)

Indeed. Rather unsurprising though, given the more brick-like shape :) I love mine though, looks SO much better than Niro/Kona.

Love the Sunday driving test drives, you can see more of the scenery, and excellent as always.
@11:05 Thats the test spot for road markings... They are trying to find what type will last longer when cars drive over it.
I luv these Sunday drives, even on a Saturday... :)
Watching this video was thinking it felt more like a Saturday drive.
Yeah that was awesome! More sunday driving!🙌

I was wondering if winter mode actually did anything lol
At 17-19C, MY2020 Kona when ac charging to 100% currently it shows 311 miles / 500.5km. Mixed driving. Nfera Summer tyres at 38psi.
What app are you using for battery stats? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bjorn, if you could do a degradation test to old Kona (2018 or 2019) I will appreciate that. Thanks for your videos.

I'm driving a Kona EV with 64kWh, my consumption is at around 110-115 Wh/km at similar weather and speeds
Niiiceeeeee!!!
I´m curious about what a Mini Cooper SE could do on similar conditions...not great range, but most likely very good consumption...
No Maya?

Hey Bjørn i was wondering if it was possible to Get a range comparison with a fossil car vs a newer ev too see how far the ev has come?
Check the 1000 km challenge table. The benchmark time is a PHEV KIA Ceed I think.

could you test ford e-transit
Hi, my Kia Soul makes a hellova fan noise when charging using home charger or emergency charger. Is that normal?
I think from my Experience with Kia Soul, that 14°C is not optimal for range. 20-25 °C and it could be under 120 Wh/km ...
Harman/Kardon is an American company founded in 1953 and still owned by americans, I think.
On March 11, 2017, Samsung Electronics announced the acquisition of Harman for a reported purchase price of $US8 billion.
