Man I was lucky to see her today in chicago as a display for train day,someone got into the engine and give it a few toots of its horn...a lot of people jump like rabbits...I guess no one was expecting it...now I finally understand why its number one from all the heritage units,there were people that said that it brough many memories to them from times past...great video,greetings from elgin,illinois
Should have been the Reading unit on those rails. The PRR did go through Reading, but only the 14 mile section survives from Laurel through Temple to South Hamburg which was the Blue Mountain & Reading from Sept. 1983 to July, 1995 then was absorbed into the Reading and Northern and tourist operations on that line discontinued. The rest of the PRR was torn up from Hamburg to Pottsville, and south of Laurel/Temple to Ivy Ridge which was a SEPTA stop past Manayunk that ended 1986 past Cynwyd..
