Axial really gave us some work to do but they gave us a great platform for some really cool upgrades and you end up with a pretty good little comp crawler Thanks for your video
Nah... When I get out all my jewelers tools, my swing arm magnification lamp and magnetic bowls I feel like I am working on a watch not a rc truck. I had a Losi Mini Crawler but getting hung up on a bottle cap and worried some bird was going to swoop down and tote it off kind ruins 1/24 for me haha..
Back watching again Tony, Sunday 6:17 PM heading out Sunday morning early to a hobby shop that has one of each I’m going to pick one up yeah don’t know which one yet till I see them,
I'm going to get on this weekend!! When I do, I will hit you up Big Tony for parts!!! I agree the tires look cool but all my experience with them, they kinda suck. For crawling they were a zero, but for dirt and sand, they were a 10. Mud Slingers are way better. 🤘🤘🤘
Vent those new Pro-Lines. I used a small drill bit on the backside of the rims and went through the inner as well. They will burp air and stay sucked in if you don’t.
My route I think I'm going to go with mine is your brass front axle in just the front, axial brass skid, emax servo in rear with hot racing steering link and metal servo horn
Nice. I changed the tires to the Baja pro X, but I did vent them and out flubber stufferz in. Still not sure if they are too heavy or not. The brass wheels worked awesome on my SCX24, so I’m hoping they do on this as well. I still like how soft the scramblers are as these prolines still don’t compress or wrap as much as the scramblers
I will tell you first reverse the direction of the mud terrains after that you got to cut the foams in them in half the foam is to hard but even then the tires aren’t the best out there but there better than before if there the only tires you have.
I disagree. THe stock tires on this have no foams and perform way better than these. I have flubber stuffers in these which should simulate what you are saying and they were junk
Yeah buddy my go to tire, I have four sets of them I run them with the flubber stuffers you’re gonna like them tires can’t wait to see how it does I will be watching 👍👍😎
I bet the shocks off the new 1/18 carpia would fit on this , if you cut the tread blocks in half so they can spread like fingers & cut the foams into a star pattern it would greatly improve your traction ! Also drop a few teeth on your pinion gear it will give it more torque & with a fresh lipo it'll be a beast
This platform is a game-changer, but dang... SO many flaws from the factory. A this price point though, it's the best crawler buy; period... even with the flaws. Losi MiniB/T shocks is where it's at!
@@CCxRC oh ok lol.. Im very new to crawling and have absolutely no clue comp crawling rule. The "Gates" I'm assuming those are the green poles you have to pass through? Do you get points deducted if you touch them?

Dope those Mud Terrains a few times, hard for me to change them out after doing that to em.

Mine is doing awesome now with the brass skid plate and proline Baja pro x tires

I can see that. ON rocks they tires were terrible. But they would do good in loose sand and dirt
Great videos.... I'm new to the hobby. Can you Reccomend a tool kit for the scx24 and the Ax. Thank you
Were you buy you hex drive?
Go Anywhere, Go Axial !!!
I've decided to part out the ax24 and use its pieces on my scx24s.
Did you reverse the motor mounting ? Did it help with the torque twist ?
I did, but didn’t notice any help
Wow did you vent the tires, it means a big difference
they were vented. Several people saw my struggles and agreed that they were pretty terrible on this course
That was very informative Tony.... Thank you. The AX24 platform is a cool one and will take some time to master... Thanks for sharing...
I agree. I can't wait to keep working with this platform
Vent those new Pro-Lines. I used a small drill bit on the backside of the rims and went through the inner as well. They will burp air and stay sucked in if you don’t.
They are vented. I try to vent all
My tires
Needs more cowbell

@@CCxRC hmm I don’t then mine performed decent after I did that but I’m sure it’s the tracks were running and the layout of the courses.
@@CCxRC I have a C10 and and another comp crawler with the same tires and flubber stuffers and I'm not impressed at all.
good video different editing than im used to seeing from you. looked like a fun little wheeler
THanks Guy! I go with whatever formula works with what i have to work with these days.
Love the S Driver for taking the wheels off. How are the servos stock on this truck stock.
Hey Tony, what about swapping servos? Will your servo fit in the new AX24 servo mount? Just picked one of these up this weekend from Riders in GR.
You have to trim the back of the mount, but you can make them work
Is the AX24 skid the same as the SCX24?
No. It is a new skid
Hope there is enough room on your desk for that mat....it resembles a sanitary napkin, Just taking the piss, Enjoyed the upgrade.
????
@@CCxRC sanitary napkin is a ladie's menstral pad. Taking the piss he's just fuqing with you.
You're going to want that brass base plate.
It’s on now
Those tires slip a little they will eventually hook though 😎👍but not the best for traction they look nice though
Look good....hook up terrible on rocks

SOme people are saying to use the Losi Mini-B shocks

Don't unglue the tires!! Axial sells the rock lizard rubbers
That's what I'd probably do...but it would be cheaper to re-use these since I'll never use them as they are
So what's up with the " I do not want a wench from you I dont think I ever want a wench from you.'' Then you went to voice over after that?
The winch. 😂 yeah. So I had helped my son with a winch and it made him hit a gate. So he was offering me a winch..,meaning he wanted to pay me back
