  • In this video Jim wants to share his thoughts on judging and being judged. He also shows a little spreading manure, and Brenda shares a bit more about her greenhouse.
Watch our videos to learn about draft horses- horse logging, horse farming, and horse training! Jim uses Belgian, Percheron, and Suffolk horses to do work on the farm and in the woods. He teaches about harnesses, horse-drawn logging and farming equipment, horse feeding and maintenance, and voice commands for horses. New videos uploaded every week. Keep watching to see how Jim trains his new Suffolk Punch colts as he has trained his full-grown teams!

The people who are judging have no idea what you even do. They don’t understand what’s happening at the farm, and they really should keep it to themselves until they’ve become more educated. You keep on doing what you’re doing, giving your animals a heaven to live in, showing us a beautiful family and a beautiful life. Thank you.

Jim and Brenda, Should be highly complimented for the wonderful videos they produce for the entertainment of their viewers . About their daily lives on the farm , woods, and the sawmill. People who are interested and can learn about training, driving and development of young horses. Also covering issues including gardening and greenhouse construction, and cooking and etc. Thank you Jim and Brenda Gordon for all the efforts in this wonderful endeavor.

Speaking for myself I am far from perfect, and I think it's a waste of time and life to criticize others or to "judge" them in any way. Not everyone will do things or view situations the same way. I think Brenda and Jim put out quality videos, and show how they do things on "their" own farm. Social media has given everyone a platform to post their thoughts and beliefs, but please encourage others and be respectful. ☮️

I really don't understand why anyone would be judgmental. I do not use your channel as a moral compass or validation of right or wrong. I just like it. I check in daily to see if you have posted. @@jeffmertens9790 Yes, and some of us know that horses do best on all the feed they can eat and all the work we can give them. They obviously love their tie stalls, they get let out if not worked. Horses will doze motionless on their feet outside under a tree for hours, so what's the difference? So, when we spot a nasty troll, our response should be "Troll alert". They actually do go away.

I agree that we make judgements everyday about people and it is normal and, sometimes, life saving. It is also called discernment.
Now, being nasty or a know-it-all on social media is not the kind of "judgement" I am referring to.
I don't view judgement as a negative. Sharing one's discernment or what people like to call "judgement" is yet another thing and should be shared sparingly, if at all.
I love this channel just the way it is.

They do go on about the tie stalls. The Lipizzaners in the Spanish Riding Scool in Vienna live in tie stalls. Quite unsuitable if horses are not being worked. Perfect for workers. Superb horses superbly kept up.

Enjoyed this video. Jim seeing you work the colts is amazing for the fact they are already pulling their weight around the farm. It shows your experience and knowledge. Consider all us folks that appreciate you guys. Consider water to a duck philosophy by the few that want to be negative. Skip is a hoot!

I looked up Lancaster spreaders and the measurement for capacity seems to be based on heaped amount. One was listed as 100 bushel, but specs indicated heaped capacity as 95 cubic feet. So I would guess heaped is the answer.

I saw my first spreader 1967. The horse stalls were shavings and manure. The spreader was still new in 1967 and with out the hay it shore could throw. As kids we stayed away from that thing.Candia NH

I have never observed you guys being judgemental. I wonder if those folks even know what judgemental means or is. There are terms being thrown around these days that used to mean one thing but mean something else. It’s so confusing at times to determine if folks are being authentic or if they just don’t know what the heck they are saying. It’s enough for some to call the name and it not meaning what we think it always meant. Don’t give that nonsense another thought. They may even be trolls. Your content is truly wonderful and you make so many very happy. I have learned a lot and so have many others. Thank you both very much.

Well, I think you are doing a great job of being a good example, both you and your family. (I also subscribe to 'Drill and a dream' )
As Christians we will be judged, its what the world does best and they 'know more' about how we ought to behave than we know !
Thanks for the video Brenda and Jim, stroke all the horses and lively Skippy for me !

Don't worry about the negative people. You do you . I was a mechanic and fabricator for a lot of years. Every time I did a project out in the main shop ( lots of through traffic) I would have a lot of people stop and tell me something was wrong or should be done different. Most of the advice came from people that did not have a clue what I was even building. LOL

That judgement nonsense irks me! I'm not a religious man but I have enough common decency not to impugn the beliefs of others. If given the option of who I would want as a neighbour between you & Brenda or the disenfranchised commenter, I would choose you two 10 times out of 10. ♥ the channel & all your content, keep up the awesome work👍👍

You're not judgemental at all. I can tell, spending time with you was recovery for my soul! Stay the way you are. We all tend to see the negative things first, but we can also all try to look at positive aspects more. Also, sometimes, I get judged, which makes me feel somehow upset then, but when I think about it for a while then I often realize, that there was some reason for it, whether on my side or the other person's side. Be blessed my friends and I wish you all a wonderful week! -Chris

PG here UI apologize if anyone has judge your videos. We also do videos. At first it really hurt when we received negative comments. Eventually we realized what miserable peoople they must be. We are not here to be like newscasters or comments of main street. We try to be all natural. Reality instead of hypocrical. What you see on vdeo you see everyday around here. I am greateful to have such great photography and teaching on working with horses.

Hello Jim & Brenda from our NH working farm. Some people are so ignorant of how much time and work these wonderful videos take away from your farm day. I certainly appreciate all the extra you both do. That is one reason why I will not host a You Tube channel VS teaching sustainability locally. Plus I have limited patience for unhappy viewers. They can watch another channel or no channel.... But that is my rather dry point of view as a native New Hampshire country person and farm wife. Thank you for your forbearance in these matters. Please keep on posting your fine and accurate videos of NY farm life in these times. ~ Diane
