I am taking the SIE for my new job on May 12th. I was given the full Kaplan Study guide - LEM and online tools including a qbank. I found that I was not able to retain much info from reading the book, and the lecture series they have available are not great. Do you have a recommendation on how to best prepare for this exam? I have no prior experience or knowledge of the Securities Industry or finances. As of right now I am planning on watching through your whole series, hitting the qbank, and focusing in on questions I got wrong. However, i am finding myself intimidated by the qbank for some reason and have been putting it off.
I am absolutely lost, I feel like I am unable to study and understand the information. I have read a book, watched videos, taken quizzes, and I still don't feel like like I can do this. I will probably schedule my text soon even though I don't feel like I know the information. People make it seems like you just go through the course work and you should be fine but I just don't see that. This material almost needs 1 years of planned studying. If you have any advice for me to take this test and actually past that would be greatly appreciated. I have used zahn associates and achievable. Zahn is difficult to read and the videos don't seem to help. While achievable say that you should spend 10 minutes on something that may take over an hour if you read thoroughly, watch the video, and take the quiz.

do you think using Kaplan's Q bank (both the series 7 Q bank and SIE Q bank) will prepare me well enough for both exams. I have been taking 75 question quizzes with all material over and over with the SIE Q bank and 125 quizzes with all material from the 7 Q bank. I had enough of pass perfect. Kaplan seems to teach the material to me better. I will also use pass perfect's finals just because i know that can only help me. Just wondering if you think these Kaplan Q banks are a way to pass

Just posted video explication. There is no municipal bond fund that has an investment objective of long term growth. Long term bonds get called or mature. Municipal Bond fund is for tax free income.
quick question. just received this Q on the Kaplan Q bank. Which of the following is the act that extended the regulation of securities to the secondary market or exchanges? the answer was The Securities Act of 1934. I tried to use your saying that 33' applies to paper and prospectus and 34' to people and places but how does this question fall under people and places?

Some test takers do and some do not. I do not have a video on it. Can Google it and get some good ideas from others. Make sure you intellectually own it and not physically own it.

An exchange is a place where secondary trades take place. What is the Kaplan QID?
