The R1's little brother , This bike proves that if you want power, comfort, Performance, and style, It's obtainable at a very reasonable price . this 2011 Yamaha FZ1 is a forgotten gem
I still have my 2006 FZ1 I bought new in 2006. I just turned 94,000 miles. I've taken care of the maintenance and have not abused the bike. It's looking and performing great. I still love riding the bike but I bought a new 2021 FJR 1300 two years ago. I'm 69 years old.
Always wanted to own an Fj since I was a teen , congrats. The FZ1 seems to really have all its ducks in a row for reliability . They take the abuse and keep on ticking
Great video. I just bought a 2009 FZ1 about a month ago and I love it. Got a great deal and man does it rip. You can break pretty much every speed limit in first gear but it's still comfortable and upright enough that I don't get tired when riding for a few hours. The only negative I've noticed is the roughly 100 - 130 mile range. I don't ride to save gas so it doesn't bother me much but taking a long ride through the desert means I have to be sure I top up and plan my gas stops.
My FZ1 ‘07 is about to hit 100k miles and I love it! I picked it up for $2500. It’s the ϟ version but as soon as the weather clears up a bit I’m doing the naked conversion. The ϟ looks good but the n is badass. I’m a big guy so aside from all the performance bolt ons I have some renthal Street fighter handlebars which are a little wider and taller and it’s soo comfortable.
@@spectre776 stock? Try reflash and drop 1 tooth front. The difference is insane. The 1st 3 gears are ecu restricted by keeping the 2nd throttle flies closed and ignition settings.
I am getting one of these soon. But I simply cannot decide between the naked or the fairing model. I am more used to riding nakeds (such as my Honda Hornet 919 current bike), but really prefer the look of the fairing FZ1s and like the wind protection.
"R1's Little Brother" is a slap in the face to this bike. I like to think of it as "A Gentleman's R1"
Nice! wish I would’ve thought of that 👍
An elegant bike for a more civilized age
A grown up R1 :) I love FZ1's but I have a Honda Hornet 919...another great bike!

Fantastic bike. Comfy, reliable and fast enough for sure.
Outstanding review. I've got the Fz1'sa phaser. They're lovely machines.

I need one of these
Great vid mate.
Cheers
It's a Fazer ( Not FZ1N) with a FZ 8 headlight
That headlight looks amazing compared to the other , im glad you said it was an fz8 headlight
❤
Its so sad how this engine develops his power
Coming off old Suzuk's. i find the fz1 quite gutless down low in the rev, above 8k i'ts ok

@@mrboostification That's exactly what I did, did my own flash and got rid of the fuel cut also.
I have a 2003 first gen FZS1000 and I can tell you my bike is no slouch at either top or bottom end. 😎
@@theyack789 we know that, because you got a different bike mate
