Lol, true story….😂I had just rode my brand new hyper for the first time and woke up in hospital with traumatic brain injuries from a car slammed impact a couple years ago. Now I wear a helmet on my new himiway but nothing will make me buy a hyper again 😅

My friend bought this bike and had motor kick-in kick-out problems like you. He was riding rough, technical off road trails in woods, so it was getting bounced around a lot. Any problems with battery contacts would definitely make themselves known under those conditions. I rode it on gravel trails in the Black Hills of SD and because it was my first experience on an e-bike, the power assist impressed me even though the motor was only a 36V 250W, which is really weak by most standards. It was okay on pavement, but my friend was pushing it way beyond its design by taking it trail riding off road, and he ran the battery almost to dead. I'm looking at a Philodo H8 or SMLRO V3 as my first purchase. I am 59 and 265 lbs, so I need all the power I can get to move me! 😁
Yeah if you don't really know what a good E bike can do this bike seem awesome when you first start out. I almost did a video where I went through the whole electrical system and found all the potential shorts but decided it wasn't worth it. If I had the choice between the Philodo and the SMLRO ( and I did) I would pick the Philodo all day. The SMLRO is a little cheaper and probably performs about the same when new. You can see where they cut corners on the outside like the brakes, shifters, throttle, headlight and rack. Who knows what they cut corners on that you can't see ? It seems like it would be more money headaches and component changes down the road.

This was my first bike but I didn't start doing youtube until I got my H8 and that is the bike that started with.
That thing is for a 100lb college student 🤣
Even at 100lb you want it to work all the time and customer to honor the warranty.
