I test privati di Monza: con 15000-20000 lire o 15 euro entravi e ti godevi le macchine da ogni punto del tracciato per tutto il giorno. Queste macchine le ho viste girare pure io ed erano spaventose, la terra tremava sotto i piedi e quando la sera si andava a dormire risuonavano ancora nelle orecchie il rombo dei motori. A Monza quando si stava sulla tribuna davanti al traguardo si sentivano anche quando passavano sul rettifilo opposto e si sentivano le scalate delle marce alla parabolica. Questa era formula 1
Adesso anche solo per le prove del venerdì devi sborsare più di 60 euro. Per non parlare della domenica dove per meno di 120 non vai da nessuna parte...

Sono stato lì la Domenica per il GP. Era il 16 Settembre 2001…avevo 7 anni. Non dimenticherò mai quel giorno.
Il suono di quei motori era talmente forte che vibrava tutto, dal terreno all’aria tutt’intorno, fin dentro tutto il corpo.
Un suono talmente forte che non se n’è più andato dalla mia testa..lo ricordo molto bene nonostante siano passati 21 anni.
Ricordo che vinse Montoya con la Williams BMW (prima vittoria in carriera per lui), secondo Barrichello su Ferrari e terzo Ralf Schumacher sull’altra Williams BMW.
Ero solo un bambino all’epoca, ma quando ripenso a quel giorno mi viene ancora la pelle d’oca.

If you ever go to a grand prix these days, you can barely hear any incoming engine noise.... the only time you hear them is when they are literally right by you.

Ero ancora troppo piccolo quando sentivo questi suoni mostruosi in TV, ma quando ho iniziato a capire da cosa fossero generati (parlo dei quasi 20k rpm) mi sono perdutamente innamorato della F1 ora non dico che la odio, ma ho perso tutto l'interesse e ogni tanto mi inebrio con questi video...che goduria mi vengono le lacrime agli occhi 😍

La prima volta che lo vidi in qualifica con la rossa nel 2006 a Imola, ero nel prato dopo la Tosa (120.000 lire). Appena sbuco' a quasi 300 all'ora, la dove dopo la morte di Ronald hanno messo una veloce chigane, pensai ...non e' possibile, questo e' di un'altro pianeta. A farmelo pensare fu la frenata, precisissima, brutale. Gli altri non scherzavano da Hakkinen a Barrichello, ma il suo limite era superiore. Credetemi, ho visto anche Senna nel '90 e non mi ha mai fatto la stessa impressione. Un compasso nel giro secco, ma se la gara fosse durata 150 giri, Schumacher credo le avrebbe vinte tutte. Impressionante. Era un iron man, secondo a nessuno in gara, nato con un metabolismo per correre. Cio' che lo distingueva dal formidabile brasiliano e' che non prendeva rischi quanto lui. Senna estremo in questo, Michael attento ..

io nel 2001 ero con mio padre a Monza a lavorare in cantiere ed eravamo lontani dal circuito e si sentivano le macchine che correvano, un brivido assurdo
F1 needs the raw sound back..i had the pleasure to hear the v-10 back in 2000 season and what i took away from that race was the amazing sound of the v-10s going right through my body as they passed and the benetton back firing as it geared down .IT was fucking amazing something i will never forget...I was at spain gp 2015 and all it was ,was just a good day out, I never got any buzz off of these F1 cars. sadly the memory of span 2015 will fade but i will never forget the amazing f1 cars and sound i heard back in 2000...[ GIVE US BACK F1 ]
Me to brother...my first race was Australia 2002, the ear popping sound could be heard all around the track, from pitlane to my corner 8 & 9.. the most unbelieveable sound i have ever heard in my life!!! it was like the end of the fuckin world.. excuse my language lol. I actually miss that sound bigtime.... get rid of these V6 turbo gayboys, they do nothing for our beloved F1!!!!

You will forever remember the emotions you felt with the old V10s and even the V8s......with the new V6s, yes you remember, but not with the same passion and emotion.
It’s mythical that these cars will never be heard that way ever again. Once the season is over, they will never run the engines that hard.

i'm pissed, i went in the 1993-97 years there, but an handycam or anything else wasn't so cheap, i've only my photos an my memories. The v12 of the 412s, T1 and T2 was incredible. Anyway is a good place there, impossible during a GP (Carabinieri and Police) but during practice, yummmm. Grazie per il video Mauro, bell'audio.

I've been there every year since 1995 and in 95 I was at the first chicane, Jim Clark corner... It was amazing, you could hear the cars screaming down the straight and just saw them right as they got to the breaking point... Always get goosebumps as I remember that... Especially the V12's were just incredible...

This is the best representation of a v10 engine I have heard short of being track side. Never take it down. I had the privilege of witnessing the legend that is Michael Schumacher racing 3 times. Twice in the V10 era in 2001 and 2003. Nothing could prepare me for the violence of those engines. I saw him at Monza in 2011 outclass Hamilton. The v8s I must admit were no where near as impressive. I have not nor do not intend to witness the v6s. For those of you who have not heard a v10 F1 engine at full tilt you have not seen real formula one.
schumacher123 That V10 era of NA engines sounded great. They were quite an experience trackside but they were also ridiculously loud after about 5 laps and you couldn't enjoy their full potential without hearing loss. Michael was all over the place at Monza, and Lewis had the wrong gear ratio, basically topping out at 320 km/h. Even with DRS he couldn't get close to Michael, which you conveniently left out, and he still passed him. Wouldn't really call that outclassing. The V6's are quite nice, they just don't have the long distance sounds. Loud engine noises don't make the V10's 'real formula 1'

Stevie George LoL xD ... It was actually deafening. If you didn't wear ear protection you could have permanent ear damage/hearing loss. Having said that, I do kind of like the V6's in that regard. You can enjoy them fully without the ear muffs

This is 2002 or 2003. Ferrari didn't have Vodafone sponsorship in 2001, and the Vodafone logo is plainly visible on the car as it passes by. In 2001 there would have been a large Tic-Tac logo in that area, except at Monza in 2001 they ran a plain livery with no sponsorship logos at all.

Ricordiamo la 155 DTM che bastonava le teutoniche Opel e Mercedes o la 156, che dal 1998 al 2004 (ad eccezione di un 'anno) ha dominato il WTCC dando paga alla tua amata Serie 3.
