- If you want to find old places to metal detect in particular really old ones from the 1800s and 1700s you have to go way out into the woods. Today we go exploring here in New England in search of a cellar hole that is a couple of miles out in the hills. There are no roads and no trails ! we have to bush wack and find our way there by reading the land. We will be looking for signs of people living here and doing things a long time ago like land clearing, stacking rocks to make stone walls and improved land from clearing and farming. The cellar holes are the old foundations where back in the colonial days they built their houses on top. Well today we found a cellar because of the big chimney stack that was made out of big rocks and still in a pile.

Stacked chimney rock never looked so good. You found it. Can’t wait to see what you detect. I’m going to keep the Faith that no one has been there before detecting from decades ago. Break on through to the other side. Thank you Doors, thank you Not Thursday Charlie. Joyce 🇺🇸❤️
Looks like a prime spot to find some good things! Good luck Charlie!
I pray you found it easier going back to your vehicle than you did finding the cellar hole Charlie. The research you do has paid off in finding it and let's hope there are relics there when you go back to detect. Its so hard getting there that I doubt others are not as determined as you are sweetheart. Good luck and happy hunting and hiking my friend, God bless you and NinJen love and hugs to you both Mary-Ellen LFOD UK
Beautiful hike!
Nice find, of a spot to find things,,potentially. Thanks for the constant encouragement to get out and go. I went further in a location today and found a new site to detect. Also going back tomorrow. Lovin' it!
Can't wait to see. This is why I enjoy watching you DC, you go further than any others.
Anticipation... Wow, that looks soooo good! For all the work you put into this I truly hope you strike gold! Mel Fisher had a guy searching the archives in Spain and look what they found!!! Can't wait🤫👏👊
Charlie, you did a CCR Creedence Clearwater Revival , "Better Run through the Jungle' followed by the Doors, "Break on Through to the Other Side! " Wow that was a very exclusive place even back in the day I bet! hope you all find some great items!
Nice video. At 10:03 there is a rock wall area under the horizontal rock that looks like it would have been a great place to have a hidden cache. The sun is on it and there is some sticks in front of it. Take a look for a loose rock in that group. Good Luck, Rick
cant wait to see the conclusion of this site hopefully there is tons of cool finds!!!!
Nice. Two miles in forty minutes is awesome. Typically that's a walking pace on perfect terrain. Accomplishing that in wooded terrain is impressive.
Alot of us spend days and days walking in the woods where people don't go anymore we can go for miles !
Wow all that rain sure hinders your hike. What a mess is right. WOOF But at least you found your target for the day. Hope your hike out was much better. I was worried with your wet boots you would have slipped. Please be careful out there I understand you do it every day, just be safe. Thank you for the video.
With the size of that stack pile there had to have a large home site there. Hopefully it's not pounded! Good luck Charlie👍🇺🇸
Wow, nice large piece of land. Looking forward to seeing what lies beneath!
Nice long hike 👍😊
Now I can't wait for tomorrow's video
Talk about dedication to a passion..
Wow. Good finds in ur future we hope.

You work really hard to find these places Charlie. I hope this one has awesome treasures for you!
Excellent search. Hope that long walk gets you some good finds.
Nice adventure Charlie love the show 👍
Looks like a nice hidden. Homestead!! Charley, why don't you ever camp out in a remote area and spend a weekend detecting? I'd be all over that! I like your channel and hope to bump into you someday.

Nice area charlie. Looking forward to seeing you guys detect it. I wonder, could I? Would you guys let me come on a hunt? I just want to watch the process. We just moved back to NH a couple weeks ago.
Awesome that you found the spot. Would love to know how you research these properties. I know there has to be a ton of similar properties here in PA.

Charlie, I am saying this only out of concern. I hope you have someone who knows where you are and can be in communication, this place in particular seems to be remote. Anticipating the best, I an anxious for tomorrow.
