- Finding old deserted home sites from the early days of American history out in the mountains of NH. We went exploring to find places where people lived back in the 1700s and 1800s and Brough our Fisher F19 metal detectors to do some digging. We found several old cellars by following the rock walls and cart paths. Another thing to look for are ancient apple trees where they normally would not be. These places we wind and metal detect for old relics are where the early New Hampshire settlers built their farms and lived for a short period of time in American history.

Great episode. Cannot wait for you to return to the apple tree homesite. Keep the quality videos coming!!!
Cant wait till all the ferns are gone and y'all can swing better! Nice finds for what you were dealing with!❤
You guys work hard bringing great content and I really appreciate that. Thanks to all.
Always nice to see Dame out with you on a dig, Charlie.
You guys are literally "Living a dream."

Wow. I get the privilege of being the first person to watch your video. I can't wait to see where you take us today and what spectacular finds you make. Not Thurssday saving history one relic at a time. God bless.
Nice work looking forward to the fall recap. That hinge!! Epic!!
The ferns and growth are thick out there, I should think that your arms ache after swinging in all of that. The apple tree house will be much easier to detect once the die back has happened but you found some relics there which bodes well for another visit. I love hearing the wind rustling the leaves it's such a relaxing sound that brings back so many memories. Your day was spent in new and difficult terrain but you came away with a couple of new sites and some relics which makes it a successful day. Good luck and happy hunting and hiking my friends God bless you both and NinJen love and hugs to you all Mary-Ellen LFOD UK
Thats a bite getting through those ferns! Wow! Nice chafe and iron buckle Dame. Those buttons too! Can't wait to see what the area is like in the fall! Happy hunting!
I can't walk that far and I can do what you do but I sure do enjoy watching y'all and I'm always happy for you all the stuff you find in history you recover

Hello NT gang 👍👍👍 awesome. I always get excited when a new video hits the channel 😀 I never know where it's going to lead or what we're going to find but I can guarantee you it's going to be a good time
Hinge is a beauty 💥
Good Job indeed ! Just the way we find roman sites here in forest. At random. In the middle of nowhere.
Awesome site!! definitely more goodies out there😀👍🏼
"Run Thru The Jungle"
Hi Charlie, Dame, 8.49 miles. God bless you both for dealing with fern city in the forest . I have to rest after 8 feet. Lol lol 😆 The apple trees were a surprise to me. 🍎 🍎. Relics were found. I like the little button with shamrock like shape on it. Looking forward to a November return. Thank you both for a Friday Not Thursday. Joy. ❤️. 🏹🎱
XOXO
Whoa Dame that emerald green shoe buckle chape and then the other iron chape; the pork chop and that real beautiful button 😃. Charlie with those buttons and the dinner plate piece, the pewter button is always the best old buttons because we all know those are the oldest ones ☺️. What a long hike all over the place 😲. The incidental home site finding has become your forte 👍
Thx, enjoyed!
Loved it guys!! Thx Charlie and Dame!! Kelly/Indiana
More than a walk in the park. Nearly 8 1/2 miles and hte best part is we can see it and don't have to walk it. Thanks for taking us along DC and that is a great way to end the week on a Not Thursday

Nothing on UA-cam can even come close to your post...
The only one worth mentioning is Hans from Terra Germanica...
However, Hans doesn't post very often...Appreciation and my enjoyment of your post...
You don't find much in the metal detection parts, but you do explore and go where people seldom do...
I only wish I could do the same...I do! ( by proxy)
Thanks guy's... Lots of Calamine and tick spray I'm sure.he he he
Nice finds. Love the scenery.
Giant hinge!
You guys are fkn animals...love the thorn in Charlie's neck earlier in the vid...
Love your show guys!
Best!
Rick (CT neighbor)
Love these New England Ticks on Steroids btw! Ha!
I want to see that hinge on the door of your fort, behind your house.
Keep up the good adventures guys, really enjoyed that
Such a tough life for these Settlers! Just to survive the winter would be a miracle. "All stone walls lead to Rome"; lol. Actually was wondering how many are there, how long, how tall, what direction they run in, what creatures are carved in the end boulders, etc. Sorry I get carried away. Thank a bunch!
At 10.14 when you are showing the buckle, I'm certain there is a coin or something round sitting in the dirt just behind the buckle, Kevin from down under
Cool beans 😊👍🇺🇸
Nice finds guy's i like that hinge maybe another one hiding in there
I was wondering what you'd find if you did some searching on the walk to those sites. Given that so many of the sites have already been searched
My favorite find was the pie pan. To bad it wasn't whole. It looked like a history lesson in the difference between today versus yesteryear.
God Bless, be safe. Nora C
.
Maybe a press house for apple cider
no paine no gain
Nice hinge, did you carry it out?
I wonder, sometimes, if those iron straps/hinges could be re-forged into knives or digging tools. Just a thought stay safe stay wild yall
👍👍
Why did they make the small in height stone walls? Seams like a lot of work to mark property boundaries.
Ticks must be bad, they r here.
At time mark 12:03, what's the Smoky looking stuff going thru your shot right to left?
No old apple orchards? Or chopped down?
Did you go back
I wonder, sometimes, if those iron straps/hinges could be re-forged into knives or digging tools. Just a thought stay sad stay wild yall
Knives, no. Digging tools, yes. And I'd be more than happy to do it for free if he got ahold of me.
Okay! Just how keen are you on your new house sites? Why not take a whipper-snipper and cut the bracken? If you think it is too noisy then get an electric one or an olde fashioned sythe . Tow young healthy fellas would have that fern leveled in no time. I whipper-snipped a pub site once (to no avail) Be creative fellas.
So you’d have a LOT more subs if you follow thru with showing us your cleaned up versions of what you find & possible history & uses. If this channel was a little more educational it would be more than just a walk in the woods to see mud finds.
For Heavens sakes. This crew specializes in detecting places that were inhabited from the mid-seventeen hundreds into the early eighteen hundreds in New Hampshire. They found buttons used to hold the front of clothes like shirts, coats and pants shut. They found part of a pie plate used to bake pies in. They found a huge hinge by an old barn used to hang a barn door. Who needs to be told that?
