@@sphrcl. I do agree the concept is perfect being a non-lethal weapon that requires perfection, but I just feel like they could’ve done better on the design or something because it feels like there’s just 1 thing wrong with it.

Yea, she needs a rework for sure. Dont know why they wouldnt model her after Ronin from TF with Arc wave, phase dash, and Sword core but its apparent that Respawn hates Titanfall.
@@Steven_Detta because she's not a titan. and they did. 1. has a sword 2. has a phase ability 2. has arc snare which is slightly similar to ronins arc wave. She's not a titan, she's not going to a get a titan core and a melee one would be horrible for her in apex legends since multiple characters can be high in the air such as valk and rev. Other legends also have movement abilities that would allow them to easily get away such as, wraith, octane, bloodhound ult, and pathfinder.
@@Steven_Detta ronin and ash are two different things and they should have similarities but should also never be the same.
That would be incredibily useless, you don't bring a knife to a gunfight.
@Steven_Detta if her ult instead of a osshe let out single target ranged damage. That had like 2 or three charges and it did like 55 dmg per hit and ive you hit all three then you get a dmg boost for 3 seconds.

yup. lazy respawn cant sync animations to perspective. Even PUBG does it.

Also crypto is running around with gloves in his pockets but when running you see his hands move like any other not fat legend.

It’s a bug in firing range, when you go third person Catalyst doesn’t get her ferrofluid melee animation, but it is still present in game normally
You know I always thought that it was weird to give a person wielding a sword a heirloom. We have seen people with swords as a heirloom so we know that swords as heirlooms works. at that point her heirloom should have been something that you didn't need to hold in hand so it wouldn't take away from the sword since the sword actually acts like a heirloom. So maybe a pendant still give it the cool animations but it doesn't need to be a weapon you can whack people with. But who knows maybe Ash mains might have been upset with all heirlooms following a particular one with their own being the exception.

I wish Mirage has a frying pan instead of a trophy. Hearing the sound of pan hitting the enemy with a rare animation of him cooking porkchops will be a fun heirloom to use.

Actually, the new firing range 3rd person mode is glitched. You can still see the animation if you switch character and immediately melee. Catalyst, Newcastle, Ash, and Wattson heirloom dash melee was affected, but it doesn't happen in an actual game
I think ash needs to be reborn. Her sword ultimate should be changed to a deadly weapon instead of teleporting.
She should get a buff ult like sword core where she gets faster movement speed, double jump, and melee only but more damage

Bro this doesn't matter at all, heirlooms are for you to see and not for the enemies, plus when you do have this sword animation with ash, on your screen you will still be punching...
I really don't understand. Who cares if she used to attack with her sword in 3rd person? How is it satisfying if you can't ever see it?
I mean it’s a rather abnormal hitbox inconsistency to expect to be that common. It’s good the sword animations were scrapped I mean look at how her entire frame contorts for some slashes. Seems rather fair. Removed the desire to want her sword as an heirloom. It’s good that the ability is separate from the attacks imo
It’s one thing to stop adding hood animations for free, let alone to go back and erase old ones to replace them with worse animations
It isnt that bad, but its def stupid. When new castle gets his heirloom (probably in like 2 years) his headbutt animation will be removed then.

Clearly the bottom of the barrel wasn’t enough for respawn so they just started digging themselves to a new depth of disappointment
It's because it would mess with the animation of the heirloom if it was still there so they just took it out it had nothing to do with them forcing you to buy anything

This is actually just a firing range glitch. It’s fine in normal matches. Only while using third person in the firing range this happens

The third person animations are the ones that other players can actually see. Its like saying what do skins matter if you can only see your arms. If first and third actually matched it would be ideal, but they dont seem to care about quality of life features.

I noticed this at the beginning of the season. This is total BS from Respawn as always first of all. Second of all The Nunchucks use literally the same animations as the punch and spinning sword attack. I dont know why they are so lazy when it comes to animations considering heirlooms cost so much money. This is one of the many reasons I don't play nearly as much anymore and dont trust them with TF3 because they clearly have no love for it. 💔

As a person with more than 2,000 hours I finally found my random heirloom shards from a lootbox the other day. I don't know if it was the 500th loot box or what, but now it's time to not spend them lol. I just don't have a main legend anymore. Talk to me back at the beginning of season 3 and it would have been Pathfinder any day everyday. Not anymore.
