He squashed all the beefs with one boot and then kicked them into orbit. I've heard a lot of reactors and comments drawing valid parallels to some of the messaging in Tom's older songs. I spotted another parallel that I think most people aren't seeing. Part of the messaging in this song was the exact same message that Nova sent to Def Jam and all of her fans in "Hey You". Exodus 3:14 - God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” Nova, and now Tom, have made it clear to everyone who loves them, or hates them, or has tried to control them in their pasts, that no one gets to tell them what version of Tom and Nova they should be. They are who they are - flawed people who clawed their way out of troubled, painful pasts, and want everyone to understand that if they can change their lives then you can do it too. I have nothing but respect, admiration, and affection, to offer to these two wonderful people.
