The Shy represented the best of what league used to be, the 1v9 the chance of being able to carry games all on your own, but riot wants the game to be a “Team Game” now so solo carry performances are far and few between these days.
I agree, I miss this type of league play. It's still possible, but a hell of a lot harder. Also doesn't help that now everything has a million dashes, resets and items are way too overtuned.
Wrong this game has become a jungle game. A jungler should not be able to 1v1 you like it is right now. Therefore its fking hard to make plays
Chovy ? Showmaker ? Canyon !? Even Bin Can 1v9 . Just the Shy is tired of the game or something else

I don’t think this is accurate, especially in a meta where where mid/jng/ sup is constantly playing top side to snowball the toplane matchup because those champs just have more carry potential than adc right now, players just caught up to the level he was at and we have theshy to thank for that, sure he’s not the dominant best top laner in the world, but we have him to thank for the level of talent we see today because we all know he influenced the game heavily

As a LPL fan, I really miss the IG in 2018-2019 right now, with the "IG Trident“ they won every game by solo kill and continuous team fight. EDG is more like a LCK team to me.
I wish the IG Trident didn't have so many professional and personal issues with each other. They'd have become one of the best teams ever
Replace Cryin with Knight and RNG have similar team concept.

Sad that he isn't has consistent right now 'cause his playstyle is really fun to watch. Pick almost only hyper carry champ even unconventionnal like Vayne or Kalista top, play agressive, never refuse any fight and try to 1v9 as much as possible.
I miss the time when top lane had real 1v9 champs viable in pro play like Irelia Fiora Vladimir Ryze Kayle Akali. Only Jayce and a bit of Lucian remain.

Even I as a big hater have to say the guys just clean - maybe not the best top of all time - but very likely the most mechanically gifted top;
Had many things going for him in S8&9 with the meta, other regions, and his team - but in terms of playing league not solo q (which was the "meta" back then) he is not the most insane player.
(to put it bluntly and simply not as clever about macro etc.)
Regardless he has some hands and is def. one of the best tops ever - up there with Flame, Marin, Khan and Smeb for sure - in a sense its a bit sad in my eyes that theshy had literally everything going his way back then, cause now I just help but nit pick - that he goes to 10 deaths from time to time and has not found success after and lost to TL also didnt help...
In the rosy memory of many he prob. still goated so what do I know :/
