it's gravely dissapointing that it slows down so much when turning, especially since it's entire whacky moblility system is designed arround not slowing down when it makes a turn 😭
From what I can tell, EVERY tank in warthunder I believe uses a clutch breaking/steering for turning. This is a system that was stopped being used for the average tank by, if not before WW2.
I got the opportunity of hitching a ride on a T-55 a few decades ago, a tank does not cross terrain in the wibbly wobbly manner gaijin wants us to believe. I've been on ships (not boats) that move more erratic.
The suspension and steering is currently bugged, I bug reported it on the dev and its still not fixed. Ive now made another live server report lol, hopefully they dont take too long The steering is currently way too sensitive which means you turn too hard even for a small turn and lose all your speed, then you have to turn back to compensate and lose even more speed etc... The neutral steering also basically dosent work. The tank has clearly been rushed, when it released to live it still had the "wheels" modification from the Fox lol
It had thermals but someone submitted a fake bug report assuming the model of the tank (which isn’t specified in game) and just ruined the only reason you would play this tank over the fox
@@rosehip9400 The report is right, the variant we have ingame didn’t have thermals Gaijin decided to give us the earliest model scimitar Later models got thermals, laser range finders and even APFSDS
@ I’m still calling bullshit because gaijin is never gonna add the one with thermals and it makes more sense that the variant changes as you research thermals, like how planes have completely different sets of guns and how some of them never even left the drawing board, they could’ve at least downtiered the scimitar after removing thermals or something
11:05 I FIGURED IT OUT! The nuke siren goes off anytime someone has the nuke symbol pop up on the bottom, like a warning to the enemies that you are close to a nuke
After getting my hands on it, its mobility is truly horrendous stock but once you spade it it MASSIVELY improves. Still feels like it should be faster and have better handling.
I was really looking forward to it, but I'll wait until its in a less awful state. Still the Fox does need to move up again in BR. Yes I do know moving it up technically makes it better (more targets with less armor), but it doesn't belong at 7.7
Why does it even exist? Its same br as fox, same weapon, slower turret and speed, larger profile, no extra features for example stab or laser or thermals, its not even worth researching
Tracks make it better in some situations (assuming the bugged handling gets fixed). The Fox can be a pain on maps with a lot of objects you end up running into.

@@blackcatthegreat182Regenerative steering is missing in this game. Ironic Battlefield has more realistic tank driving than War Thunder

It feels similar steering to the early ratel. Touchy and v sloppy.
@ Yeah, it feels like the tank slides all over the place. If they fixed it the tank would be so much better

it's like a Fox and an XM800t had a kid, but they are also siblings
Glad that I'm not the only one disapointed at this thing
If a stormer and a fox had a kid, the storm fox
11:05 I FIGURED IT OUT! The nuke siren goes off anytime someone has the nuke symbol pop up on the bottom, like a warning to the enemies that you are close to a nuke
Before of after fox on the tech tree? (My internet sucks so I won’t be able to update for a while)
The APHE round is a baby nuke, it's very good against thin skinned vehicles can even one-shot M109s, it's worth taking a few clips alongside the APDS
Can even 1 shot T-10M with the APHE through the cupola
Now if only we could get the FV101 Scorpion in the game.
it would be like 2.7 with that 76mm HESH. depends on the rate of fire really, Scorpion 90 is what we want
@@Master_Teaz if gaijin fixed hesh both the 75 and 90 scorpion would be viable also scimitar 2 would be cool too ;D
@@Master_Teaz 76mm HESH can pen around 100mm of armour at any angle/range, it would probably be like 5.7
@h.a8681 doubt it, 90mm hesh pens 102mm so in game it would be 80-90mm,
Also doesnt help that hesh is really in a poor spot right now
Still confused at how this is considered on par with the fox and Eland.90 at 7.7....
And I main britain, so I should understand the capability of the other two
To be honest I don't understand how the Eland is the same br as the Fox. The Fox is just in a league of its own.
@russman3787 Eland was fine at 7.3, because britain 7.3 didnt really exist
8:10 not turny killing his teammate xD

I thought the Scimitar was the fastest IFV in the world? is it purposefully nerfed by Gaijin?
I got a nuke in my second game but i 100% agree with you. It's so ass to drive
i got a free talisman for the fox while spading this i believe that's a sigh.
Scimitars tureet is hand cranked as well coarse and fine gear ive never seen one turn thay fast
its basically just another fox lol
Yep that vehicle handling model is far from reality...gun control seems reasonable though
Another banger T-man
Gaijin REALLY should remove all rat "tanks". They dint belong in the game at all.
I'm just waiting for the abbot...😅
So as i was expecting, its just worse Fox
Day 314 of asking for some juicy black prince gameplay 👾. fun fact, i started doing this on the Oktober 1. 2022 (technically day one was September 28)
The fox is way better icl
