Yeah I was very surprised myself. Had even bet with a friend telling him my guess would be 8hrs.... 16!!! Oh you will like it a lot. It is also super lightweight so can even be rigged with a basic magic-arm.
@@aNELeOnwuka thanks. I hope to use it on my c70 on the DJI RS2 as well. Thanks again for the full review. I was very glad you discovered it works at 4k 60 and plays back the slowmo. I was bummed when I read it was only up to 30 fps. And I agree, hopefully a firmware will allow you to flip the screen.
@@savillecreations8046 Yeah, I have no idea why they wrote that. It worked well at High Frame Rates. True, would be nice because with ‘small’ cameras there are a million different ways to build a shoulder rig... Lego for grown ups ;)
Thanks very much for the excellent walk-through of the EVF. I first saw it on a channel that gets a lot of views, but his review was... lacking. I very much appreciate that you went to the trouble of actually showing the image inside the device. It's unfortunate that you can't flip up the shade and diopter as your friend discovered. That's something firmware can't fix!
Thank you for the very kind words, I really appreciate it.. Yes, it would have been a nice additional touch if the 'shade' could flip up so one can quickly see the screen at certain angles.
I’ve ordered one of these LEYE EVFs and some of the smallrig parts that you showed too - thank you for the helpful information - I’ve subscribed to you and look forward to your other videos ⛩🎬🎥
Compliments of the Season to You. A year later, do you still use the Fat Shark 18650 battery set up? Are you using 2 in series or can you just use one to power the monitor
Hey, Compliments of the Season to you and yours with an abudance of good health and prosperity, thank you so much for that. Good question - still using Power bank and sometimes the FatShark - I do have a few FatSharks but for different things and use them in series with a splitter cable BUT I don't use them in series with the LEYE - why? Would be 'odd' to mount so just one is ok.
Hi, thanks for the review. Can you provide a link for the cold shoe to nato rail mount that you have pictured at 2:58? It looks like a smallrig product, but I've searched all over their site and can't find anything like that. I'd like to have a cold should mount on the bottom and a nato mount on top, exactly like the one you have pictured. Thanks in advance!
Hi Omid, you're welcome. Ah, it is not a Smallrig product. The mount is one of the 'new' Nitze ELF monitor holders. They sent me 2 of these new versions (black) when I discovered a major flaw in the design of their (red) versions that I used to buy... these were pre-prod but pretty much the final design. I don't know where you are based but you can find them on Amazon and eBay. NOTE* The ELF versions ONLY!! Here is a link... the one in the video is the 'G2'. I hope that helps? www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08HYZ1DRL/?coliid=I2OQ7JWLXBTW39&colid=1R3YJLINFM6QU&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1

I bought mine from a month by now and It already stop working. Don't turn on anymore. With no reason. And I live in Brazil. Imagine how I will get some assistance..
Oh no, that is terrible news. So sorry to hear that. You have tried powering it with USB and DC and battery... I'd say try ALL options first. Don't know if you are on Facebook?... join their User Group and hopefully you get the advice and help there - facebook.com/groups/327499871323912
Riccardo sounds Italian :)
Great video though! I watched it multiple times. Very thorough and informative.
Yeah, he is Italian. Thanks so much for watching; glad you enjoyed it!
This is the most informative video for the mentioned EVF. You made me make my mind on this simply.Subscribed! Thank you and keep up the good work
Thank you very much for the kind words and for subbing!
Wow....16 hours is awesome. I purchased the EVF yesterday and am excited to get it next week. Using the Canon c70 and will power using a Dtap battery.

Excellent review thank you.
Thank you so much!
There is H and V image flip in the SDI version menu.
Thanks a lot man, didn't know at the time.
Yes, they added image flip in the last firmware update!
Thank you for your review, wish I had seen it before buying a much more expensive battery solution.
Thank you for the kind comment. It is a pretty good cheap option.

I've tried to power with USB. It powers the monitor but seems to bypass the on off switch.
As mentioned in the video @ 4mins+. Portkeys items when using USB power do auto turn on and that is NORMAL. Hve no worries man.

What happened to the original post?
Updated some info; didn't know hot to add it in as text.
How is the latency in the EVF?
I'd say probably the same as most HDMI monitors. It shouldn't be a bother in most shooting scenarios.
