First Impressions of UDAIPUR (Rajasthan’s CITY OF LAKES) 🇮🇳

As I continued my adventure through India, my first impressions of Udaipur were positive. Known by many as the City of Lakes, it became easy to see why it has earned the reputation as the "Venice of the East" for Indian and international tourists alike.
But I wasn't there to sit in the 5 star luxury of the 'James Bond hotel' (Taj Lake Palace) on Lake Pichola - I wanted to explore.
I headed in a rickshaw to the foot of the city's famous Monsoon Palace for the best views over the city. Having been dropped off at the gate, I had time for a check out a neighbouring zoo which had all kinds of exotic wildlife; from bears, to tigers, and even panthers.
Afterwards I headed up to the viewing point of the main palace for an unforgettable sunset with views over Udaipur's lakes and mountains, whilst making new friends with some locals visiting from Gujurat. A great way to get the true first impressions of Udaipur (Rajasthan's Venice of the East).

Brother Udaipur is not actually IN the desert. It is very fertile with forsts, rivers and lakes all around. The Heat is because of the Close PROXIMITY to the Desert 😊.
