Johnny's story is just so tragic. To be treated so badly by his parents and then take that beating from the Soc's just makes you feel so bad for him. The scene in the church when Johnny gets upset with Ponyboy for reminding him of killing the Soc and realising how scared and upset they are, and when Johnny is in the hospital telling Johnny he doesn't want to die because he's only 16, and never done anything with his life, kills me every time He is the heart of the story. Makes his eventual death all the more heart breaking. Doesn't matter how old Ralph Macchio gets he's will always be Johnny Cade. Stay Gold xx

You can tell how much Ralph cares about Johnny and how much playing that character meant to him.

The reason why I love Johnny Cade so much is because he is kind, loyal, brother advocate to the greasers like they were to him, he also did a heroic thing that his parents should have been proud of which was sacrificing his own life to save a few innocent children from bing trapped in a burning church. Honestly, I feel really bad for Johnny and everything he went through. It really bothered me when his mother showed up in the hospital out of the blue to see Johnny after everything she and her husband put him through. Johnny died a hero not a criminal, or a murderer. Those last two words Johnny told ponyboy are my favorite words which is actually Johnny’s dying wish which is to stay gold. My favorite male actor, producer and book author did a phenomenal job playing as Johnny Cade in “The Outsiders.”

This movie was good I read the book 3 times it was a good but sad as well S.E Hinton did really good on the book she did a good job and my favorite characters were sodapop and Johnny Ralph did really good on playing johnnycakes
