What a joy to see this video! I am just now relearning to play the piano after a 40 year hiatus of not playing anything due to having moved overseas and couldn't take my cherished piano with me. I'm now retired and my piano has been restored and returned to me in beautiful condition so now I'm reteaching myself from scratch the old notes I once knew. Sad to say it is not like riding a bicycle - I've forgotten every note I ever knew - but I'm having more fun this time around. Thank you so much for your video! I was not aware that there were so many great apps for musicians and people trying to become musicians. I can't sing a note but hopefully one day soon I can at least play a few.
Congratulations on coming back to playing music! So glad that you are finding the joy again in music, it’s such a special feeling! Best of luck on your journey!
Thanks so much for the sweet comment! I love making videos and helping others. Maybe one day...regardless of how many subscribers, I will continue to bring entertainment and information on music to the channel!
Very good video. Lovely voice! I'm a singer too and I play uke. The biggest issue I have with ForScore is I don’t believe they have a Dark mode. Plus a lot of apple people can’t get shared music off of google drive. The learning curve is intense and I’m pretty computer saavy (PC). I normally use an Android tablet so I use MobileSheets which is much easier to use. I don't need a score, I just need a lead sheet.
Great video thanks...I'm visually impaired...are there any apps that allow you to resize your score in a kindle fashion so you can see the notes better. Thanks
You are incredible. I wish I could bottle you to have you available when I need inspiration. I will use all these apps... I have a band and play out 4-5 times a month. I struggle to remember lyrics, tempo, and other notes to have ready for the band when I am on stage. These apps will help so much. Just a joy to watch you and your presentation. Such passion... truly inspiring and I barely know you...only watched this one video!!! Yay!
Thank you so much for your sweet words! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and you’ll find these apps helpful in your musical ventures. Best of luck with your upcoming gigs and have a great day!
You can select different staves by selecting them and play them individually. However you can’t select piano + alto at the same time, for example. You would have to import the MP3 individually. It would be a nice feature to select different parts in a mixer….there’s actually a new app that does this and I might do a review soon on it!
I am going to use books app than using my piano book I have brought at a music store in town and amazon saving me some space like I can just tap on books then select books I want to play music.
@@SingwithCinderella lovely, thanks! I don’t know much about these things, do I need the iPad to be cellular or just Wi-Fi for forscore? Do you find your 3rd gen iPad Pro gives instant response? Also do you use a pedal to change pages? Many thanks, Lee
@@widgypoo you don't need wifi forscore at all actually! For example, you could be in an airplane and looking at your music. I have my scores backed up to the cloud though and it is connected to wifi. I love the third generation iPad. You can check this pedal out: amzn.to/33BfGEX
Hi. Thank you for the great video ! I can play, but cannot write the music. Are there any apps that will automatically write the music notation for you as you play ?
That would be amazing!! I don’t know of any iPad apps that notate as you play. Sibelius ARTIST, originally computer software that now also has an app, has that feature! I’ve never personally used it and so I’m unsure of the accuracy. Hope this helps!
@@versoturner5777 That makes even less sense. If I don't watch the whole video I probably didn't "like it" so why would I give a "like' before I watch it.

"Music scanner' app is an ultimate pile of *rap. In times of artificial intelligence it can't even recognize a single voice piano part written in quarter noters. Well it does 50% but you need to pay 100% to test this. LOL
Can you add measure numbers in Forescore? It is very time consuming when preparing for orchestra. Invariably conductor always says lets start at measureXXX. It would be really nice if there was an easy way to add.
Good question! That would be a really nice feature to have, I agree! Unfortunately, the app currently doesn't do that and I manually write in the measures. If you prefer typed numbers you can also use the text tool to put them in...a time consuming process though.
Came here for the apps and was blown away with the vocal skills

Hi can you use apple pencil(2) with any apps to compose music? Many thanks 😊

Do you have any recommendations for an app to write drum music? That’s the only thing I need it for
Sibelius is a notation software that now has an app for iPad! It definitely takes some getting used to on the iPad compared to desktop
You can also look into “Notation Pad” - weekly subscription
Thank you!
