Douglas Ross makes ’emergency’ announcement to stand in General Election

- SCOTTISH Tory leader Douglas Ross has announced he will be standing in the General Election on July 4.
He held an emergency press conference this morning, hours after his party colleague David Duguid - currently in hospital - revealed he’d been blocked from standing in a new seat which overlaps Mr Ross’s Moray patch.

Dross has been paid £11,490.57 for 31 matches in the 2022-23 season. Yet he expects the British taxpayer to pay for his traveling cost to every match.
After dumping David Duguid, conservatives central office put out a call for interested qualified candidates late on Wednesday to put in an application by the following morning and be in a position to attend a selection committee meeting in the constituency the on the Thursday evening.
How many applications were received? How many applicants were called to interview on the Thursday evening. How was it possible to announce that Douglas Ross was the preferred candidate hours before the deadline for applications?

Backing him for a london seat won't really impact NHS north of the border since that's a devolved power, something that westminster lapdog should know having been an MSP. Unless the implication is that sunak wants to run roughshod over devolution and force the private partnership (privatisation) onto scotland so they suffer the same as the rest of the UK.
The SNP have been working in partnership with private health care for years.
