This video deserves to be on Netflix or the Travel Channel! Crazy course and too bad you missed that turn, but still, I love your positive attitude and outlook. Such a neat area! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Wow Jeff - what a wonderful production brimming with gorgeous scenery and positive energy (and fun music). Thank you so much for this fabulous introduction to a very special place. João is a wonderfully inspiring character (along with your other island friends) and makes me want to up my personal game as a 56 yr old - will get off my lazy butt and attempt a favourite 20 kayer trail run here tomorrow. As for the video - my wife and I now have the Azores on our bucket list, making this last hour of viewing very expensive indeed!! 😜 We think you contribute enormously to the mix and are very grateful for all the effort and positive vibes you put into these productions so we can have such a compelling experience. Thank you so much from your long time fans in Sydney, Australia - Dave
Thanks to your superb video I could return to the race again. I had the same problem with missing part of the race and disqualification. Like you, I was laffing during the race about the weather🤣 (what an idiot I am to run in this condition).
what an incredible place -- love getting the insider look with all your excellent tour guides and hosts! also, Georgia was pretty cool and all too, but Azores' happy cows are about 1,000x less stressful than the sheep dogs LOL
This was excellent, cinemograph and panoramic. What a course environment, I really admire Joao for maintaining the long-term condition he is in. Jeff, nice job Great job.
Another great film, this time about a place i love! Since my first visit to Azores, i keep going back, lost the count of the dozens of times already. For trail races and camps, other times just to enjoy what those islands have to offer, people, food, etc. It’s a pearl in the middle of Atlantic, and every island is unique. The weather, well, embrace it as part of Azores experience. If you like those non-human steps, in MIUT (Madeira) they come in all sizes and shapes 😈. See you maybe in Hardrock! (Someone whispered it to my hear😄)
What an outstanding archipelago of islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean called the Azores. Friendly locals, a beautiful nature conservancy. Thanks for sharing. Great job trying to do the races with the crazy weather. Lol,Lol,.
I thought it was 2 hours of content :)) but only 52 minutes have passed...jesus. That was amaizing!! Espacially the second part with the trophy room and the diary
Jeff, this is one of my favorite videos you've put together. I learned about an area and culture I didn't realize existed, and it's beautiful! Thanks for putting these together on your runs. I enjoy watching them.
I truly envy the trips and adventure you take! One day I’ll find the time, finance, and stability to do the things you do! Props to you all the people who gives you great hospitality!
Our planet is just keeps delivering - I had no idea these islands are so amazing. And trust you to sniff them out and take us along for the adventure. (Huge thanks). Your superb film making skills certainly do the islands justice. But how you manage to run that epic race with a camera in one hand is beyond me. Well done!!👍 🏃♂️ ⛰️
The way Jeff films makes for the coolest travel videos! He goes to places I know so little about and then makes me want to put them all on my bucket list! And to be able to explore a culture through running is absolutely stunning! A dream job for sure, well done!
Again, a great film. Particularly loved the way it's based more around the people you met and ran with as it as about the race. And the beautiful islands of course also. Yourself and Ryan Van Duzer make my favourite films. Great work dude
Man, that was an Epic video for an Epic race! It was totally worth the wait! Taking the 360 camera to the race was a great choice for the footage. Thank you for sharing this adventure! 🤩
Great video. It's fun running when the weather conditions are a bit tough. I made a similar DNF (my only DNF so far) at a race in Denmark (my home country) missing a 7k loop. When I saw the front runners running past me I realised that something was wrong but just haven't got enough time to back track and do the loop. Still had a good time on the trails as you did. DNF or not, no one can take the experience from you.
Great video, kind people and beautiful views! I had the Azores already on my list and now I’m looking forwards to going there even more. Thanks for the inspiration 😀
We are going to Sao Michel and Terceira in May 2024, enjoyed every minute of your video. Thank you for sharing all your running adventures on these beautiful islands!
Another amazing video! I had anxiety watching you run that race! The mud, wind and narrow trails made me worry! Thank you for taking me on another spectacular journey!!!
Absolutely amazing video Jeff. Nowadays I tend to just skip through movies and videos, but this one kept my attention until the last second. Thank you for your amazing work and motivation! :))
Well you’ve nailed it again Jeff, another incredible film thank you! .. and a heck of an exciting race! The Azores are stunning and Joao what a guy! Such a great film. Thanks again.
Damn, that weather was rough! 😮 I admire your dedication, especially when you came across your hotel, I would've just gone inside, showered and put on dry clothes and fresh socks 😅 your video quality is top notch as always. I'm stoked for the adventures to come and will be rewatching your journey for sure!
It was a great pleasure and an inspirational boost watching your new video (as always). Sorry for the diskwalification after racing under such difficult circumstances and what a daring descent of these enormous 'stairs'!
Absolutely magnificent content once again Jeff! Really love the story telling and the footage is breathtaking. I'm sorry to learn of the DNF, that wind must've been so disorienting!
Thank you for making this video. I have been traveling Spain and Portugal for the last 2 years, and planning to find some trails to run in Madeira and Azores in 2024.
Another video masterpiece. Great scenery and cultural bites. Reminds me a bit of the Atlantic forests in my home island of Tenerife, but this place is even wilder. Love it!
Thanks for taking us there! I had no idea how beautiful the Azores are! 😍 Weather was really a challange! Sorry about the missed loop, can happen if there is no info on the path and no one to follow, right?
Good clips. Seems like you used your 360 camera a lot this time. Nice. And oh man, that one scene on the single track.. almost looks like the one guy slipped to the side of trail and another guy had to help him up and back onto the trail.
Registration for the 2023 EPIC Azores Trail Run is already open, taking place Dec 1-2. Visit: www.epictrailrunazores.com/en/

Aren't these islands just beautiful? breathtaking
Can't believe how narrow parts of the trail were. Pretty scary, especially with that much wind. Awesome video, as always!

That tunnel muffled music transition
Nice catch!

I'm not even a runner and I enjoyed your video thoroughly! I scoping out some hiking trails on Sao Miguel and Pico.
Oh NO!!! You missed a part of the course. Sorry to hear that, but still the experience seemed to be good enough. Great vid!!

Another great video Jeff these islands look like something from Jurassic park very cool 😎
There is a Gin from the Azores called "Rocha Negra" (black rock). Delicious gin and tonic with a slice of Azores pineapple.
E cachaça do Rainha, não?? 😅😅😊
Thanks for taking us there! I had no idea how beautiful the Azores are! 😍 Weather was really a challange! Sorry about the missed loop, can happen if there is no info on the path and no one to follow, right?

Outstanding as always, Jeff. Looking forward to the Tetons video next 😀😀
Wooow! What a place! Will have to visit, definitely. Thanks Jeff for such a great film.
Good clips. Seems like you used your 360 camera a lot this time. Nice. And oh man, that one scene on the single track.. almost looks like the one guy slipped to the side of trail and another guy had to help him up and back onto the trail.
Great video! And next place to visit on my bucket list.
