YES! I LOVE this album. Soundgarden is also great but this album is super underrated. I was lucky enough to see him play a year before he passed. Such an incredible talent.
Chris Cornell is widely considered one of the best rock singers of all time. He is best known for being the lead singer of Soundgarden, but also was in the supergroups Audioslave and Temple of the Dog.
Euphoria Mourning was a huge departure from the harder-edged Soundgarden songs he was best known for.

One of my top 5 albums. Really wished he would’ve kept Alain Johannes around for his other solo albums. Dude added tons of atmosphere and some great guitar playing along with keys from his partner Natasha Schneider. So sad that Alain is the only one left, dudes gotta be broken inside.

Chris Cornell was the very talented lead singer for Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog...( three very popular groups of the 90s and 2000s). RIP Chris Cornell.....

You should react to Eleven, the band of Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider ( they composed with Chris Cornell this album in their home studio 11AD ) They are unique and fabulous musicians . They played too in Queens Of The Stone Age. Natasha Shneider died of cancer in 2008. Alain Johannes still making amazing music . You can hear Eleven sound all over this album. Sadly they are most recognized between musicians and nobody react to the band
I was lucky enough to see this tour back in Nov ‘99. He was amazing (and his back up band too), but you could tell he was a little nervous unveiling these new songs, without his old friends in Soundgarden.
How do you make it through a Chris Cornell album and not mention his voice once?
You reacted to Chris Cornell already twice with Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog and with Black Hole song by Soundgarden.
I was at an acoustic show by Chris and he explained it was supposed to be called “Euphoria Mourning” but there was a printing error on the printed albums so he had to go with it. He was not a fan of the “morning” title version.
Sad that he hung himself at 52, what a loss of a talented artist. Really enjoying listening to this album here with JJ & his subscribers this evening. There is a Beatles sound to the music on this album.💛🎸👍

Chris Cornell is great and I like this album. This album was kind of a different sound for him. He was mainly a rock singer. A lot of his other material you might find too heavy but I'm sure you would like some of his other output.

I feel like this was one of his best albums, reminds me of my childhood
This album is absolutely perfect, but it really takes a bunch of listens to fully immerse yourself & appreciate the way the songs unfold. I'd recommend multiple listens to really engross yourself in this vivid landscape of songs. You really did a great job of understanding what he was aiming for. A folky, futuristic, melodic soundscape with epic tunes at their core., but one listen just isn't going to hit the mark with songs that have like 30+ chords changes.
I didn't quite make it through the whole thing, but he has the best voice, his "nothing compares" cover is sooo good.
Great reaction/review. Chris was an incredibly great singer and songwriter..His creativity and vocal range showed no bounds. May God rest his soul
