    Well here I am, a dishwasher 'newbie' sitting in my half-finished kitchen at 11pm looking for dishwasher help. The builder left me with a plumbed-in dishwasher saying "you'll need to put salt in it". The diagram in the manual showed a jug of water and word "FILL" and after that, a box of salt and the word "FILL". So I poured in some water, put the funnel in ... and of course the water is pushed out. It was just not possible to know when the reservoir was "full" of salt or not. I was elsewhere for an hour and went to "run a programme" as the manual said. BUT the machine would not turn on, no lights on the panel. I checked the MCB panel and the switch for "kitchen appliances" seemed to have tripped, so I switched it back again and ... still no lights. By this time I'm thinking "I can't cope with having one of these". Then, hours later, I spotted a switch inside a cabinet that looked like it should have been on. Had someone turned it off my accident? I turn it on. The DW does a little 'beep'. I turn it off again and then ....... as if by magic... the dishwasher seems to spring into life, water is swishing round BUT there are no lights on the panel. Is that usual, for the panel lights to go off when the dishwasher is in operation? I decide to stop whatever 'program' might have been running, open the door (very cautiously, towels at the ready), the lights come ON and I follow the instruction to drain which all seems OK. If you've read this far........ gold star for you, and thank you! If anyone can enlighten me on any of the above points (1) it is correct to put *water* then salt into the reservoir (and if so how on earth do you know when the reservoir has enough salt in it?) (2) what's going on with the power switch in the cupboard? (3) shouldn't the panel lights be on the whole time the DW is in operation? Again -- thanks for reading.

      try cleaning around the filter, pouring some detergent and giving it a good clean then twist either side and pull out?

    Where does the rinse aid come out from in rinse cycle?? I can only find info where it goes IN. Where does it come OUT?

    • @DanielJohnHowTo
      @DanielJohnHowTo  2 роки тому

      it mixes with the water to remove things that stain items, and lets the water drip off items easier basically.

      @@DanielJohnHowTo Yes, but where does it exit? Is there tubing it goes through, or does it come out from that small hole-looking thing on the dispenser? I’m just wondering HOW and WHERE it exits the dispenser?

      @@marys9554 it comes out already mixed with the water. So basically everywhere the water comes out, rinse aid is mixed with that water
