As a Certified Old Person, if I were going to move from my current Summerlin home, I would want to move to Sun City Summerlin. In addition to all the things to do (I LOVE the Starbright Theater, and their inexpensive shows with acts and themes that are just perfect for Geezer Nation), there seems to be a real community spirit where people are genuine friends with each other. In reality, though, I'm at the age where Las Ventanas on West Charleston would be a more appropriate and sensible choice.
I'm a building inspector and the dryier climate seems better for the working season i would love to be a remote designer chilling poolside under some palm trees
Summerlin was high on my list of places to move to. And this video shows why it is on so many others' list too. I moved to Sugar Land, Texas instead, and I'm very happy here, but boy I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to work with you. You are a rockstar. To think all that is going on in Summerlin, one would never have to leave; yet the Vegas Strip is right there in your backyard too. No wonder housing prices have skyrocketed there
Can you show a map in the video next time of where these neighborhoods are at. I’m having to pause the video then search this up in google maps. That would help a lot with me enjoying your videos!
I swear you deserve more subscribers for real lol. It’s cool imma always support you tho 💪🏾so I guess I’m in all columns😂. Summerlin is a beautiful area. This is the first time I’m actually hearing of the area through your 2 videos. I’m always hearing about Henderson.
Great info on these areas. I've looked (online) at homes in the Henderson and Summerlin areas. Prices aren't too bad compared to my area. I just have some concerns with the increasing crime and water issues. The movie studio sounds amazing for the area, but will bringing in an extra 10,000 people put extra strain on the water supply? I'm in the SLC area and we have water issues and restrictions, but I don't think we are that critical yet. But thanks for all the detailed info and news that you share with us.
First, thank you so much for taking time to watch this video and commenting. I truly appreciate it. You have very valid points and questions here. I'm sure you're not the only one thinking and feeling the same. I think we're in a similar situation with SLC as far as water issues go. We're actively trying to conserve, and the government is always looking for a solution.
@@LasVegasGal The water is not the issue, and Las Vegas is not the issue for the water. The entire state of Nevada only uses 2% of the water that comes out of Lake Mead every year. If the entire Las Vegas metro area vanished tomorrow, the change in Lake Mead would be trivial, if not imperceptible. The water goes to the seven states in the Colorado Compact, and to Mexico. California gets the largest share by far, largely for agriculture. If Lake Mead ever went deadpool, where water could not flow out, Las Vegas would be the only place which could draw water from it, and we would have enough water for centuries. Source: The City of Las Vegas, confirmed by the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Meanwhile, the agriculture of the American Southwest would be massively affected by the loss of water for irrigation. If Lake Mead went deadpool, the problem wouldn't be the effect on Las Vegas. It would be the food riots all over the southwest. The real problem for Las Vegas would be the loss of the hydroelectric power to our homes and businesses.

I would never trust a real-estate agent who has a glass of wine while trying to convince me to go with them. They'd have to have at least three glasses!!! 😂
Just let the market talk …, after CA slows the buying bc CA homes are very slow to sell now, the LV market will have to adjust the price naturally!! This is a fact. No real estate can sustain 150% return in four years! Not even the stock market.
Thank you for sharing your point. Las Vegas, as a whole, is not for everyone. And there are certain areas that are pricier than others, but there are reasons for that.
Overpriced? Not compared to East side of the valley, North Las Vegas or many part of Henderson and the Southwest. Lots of those areas are ghetto or poorly planned!

Your comment gave me such a warm feeling! Thank you so much!

I appreciate the support and compliment. And thank you for taking a moment of your time to comment and watch the video!!!
what about people on SSDI? Can they ever afford to live here? or only for rich..it's really pretty
In general, it's a little bit on the higher end, but we can look at options if you're interested.

Can we get something on rural non HOA places?
Definitely 👍; HOA is just robbery.
Yes!
I’ll work on that.😊
If you're purchasing a previously owned home in a 55+ community in Summerlin do you have to pay SIDS and LIDS?
Siena 55+ paid Howard Hughes so we manage our own HOA.
It depends on the home. Some home owners pay it off and some will sell the home with a remaining balance.
I feel personally attacked for my decision to watch this video😂😂😂 maybe it was reason #2 😉😂😂
Well Done!
love the introduction!! 👏
😊
Thanks for another great video, if anyone was thinking of moving to Summerlin you definitely convinced them to do so
Awww, thank you so much!
great video but seems only for rich
Thank you. But it's not just for the "rich"....
Do you do Mid term rental?

Guess I'm number 3. 😂 Put me in the "maybe" column.
Great video Laci - loving the 55+ communities you shared! Looking forward to my July trip and hope we can meet up! (Dee)
I hope we do, too, Dee!
Great video thanks

😂
@5:15, if you are moving to Vegas, DO NOT read the headlines on the right side. Nothing to see here folks. Laci, I am in the #2 camp cutie.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and supporting my channel by watching this video!
Any homes under 400K ???
In Summerlin? Not many, but yes, there are!
Yikes…Kestrel selling 2,130 sq ft house for $950k!
Just let the market talk …, after CA slows the buying bc CA homes are very slow to sell now, the LV
market will have to adjust the price naturally!! This is a fact.
No real estate can sustain 150% return in four years! Not even the stock market.
Just remember that healthcare and education are both terrible in Las Vegas. Great food though.
Get a PPO plan and you can have your surgeries in SoCal!
Summerlin way overpriced!!
