Dude I like to say that is about the simplest view that I have seen of how to do this and I would like to thank you because I was about at my damn wits end. This is how to do it. I still have to figure out what speakers go to which wires
I had somebody install mine and it was running the battery down. It was connected to the aux pwr 2 but now I moved it to the ignition fuse it works when I turn it on now. Before I had to turn it on manually
Hey brother, I’m trying to install a stereo in my 02 GMC Sierra, but the previous keener fkd w it so much that I have to rewire a whole new stereo harness plug. But no matter what I do I either won’t get complete power one time or sound the next. Do you happen to have a diagram that you’ve personally used, the ones I find online don’t seem to help. Thx in advance 🙏🏽
I don't have a diagram, but I only used the factory harness for a constant power and ground. The remote power wire is the 1 that I ran to the ignition fuse. It's easier if you use a multimeter
Yeah I know on the radio side, but on the car side I didn't have a diagram and I didn't want to use the factory amp because my radio sound great without it

I have a 2007 gmc Acadia I bought wire harness from eBay but no interface the only problem is the red wire came separately and I can’t find where to connect it to and that wire is so the radio can turn on with the key do you think I should connect it to a fuse like you did?
Not exactly, I followed my rule of thumb of the lighter colored wire is usually the positive. To be 100% sure you will have to find a wiring diagram or pull the speakers and check
It actually sounds better and a lot clearer. I installed a pioneer double din and a long as you use a good quality radio, it should sound fine. Thanks for watching
@@mikemane45 Dude that's dope af. I didn't mean to disrespect you, just out here projecting my apologies. And can't wait to see it, I recently bought a 2011 Dodge Caliber and wanna put a new radio in it. We t to the dealership to install the "UConnect" module that all "newer" Dodges have however they said it would cost a lot with the labor/programming so the dealership guy said I'm better off buying and equipping it with an aftermarket radio which is a lot cheaper. I'm planning on doing it myself to! My first vehicle "repair" since my early teen years. Now 23.
You're cool, I didn't take it as disrespect. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and constructive criticism is how we can grow as people. As far as the Dodge, I wired radios in cars without using a single wire from the stock harness without a problem. You can apply this same procedure to that car as long as you can read wiring diagrams.
Ok, I'll try to get it together either tomorrow or Wednesday because I have other projects going on right now. Be sure to subscribe to make sure you don't miss it

I just touched the speaker wires together while music playing to figure out which wires goes to which speaker
Most helpful video I've found on UA-cam
can u please make a video showing it more clearly im trying to do the same thing but cant tell how u have it

Glad you got it fixed

hey so if i were to bypass the bose amp and just have a boss radio and the speakers that should give them sound by doing this?
Yes
Just connect a jumper from the blue (remote) on your new head unit to the pink wire on the other harness
Is it to turn on the amp?
@@mikemane45blue/white wire is usually a remote wire. Remote tells the amp to turn on when key is turned one notch.

You should, but make sure it's a fuse for an item that's rarely used that's only has power when the ignition is on
How to you know which speaker wire is positive or negative
Not exactly, I followed my rule of thumb of the lighter colored wire is usually the positive. To be 100% sure you will have to find a wiring diagram or pull the speakers and check
What type of wire u ran to the red one positive wire?
It was 16 gauge wire
So it cant be installed with factory amp?
Not without buying the $100 wiring kit
Does it still sound good or lose all mids and lows??
It actually sounds better and a lot clearer. I installed a pioneer double din and a long as you use a good quality radio, it should sound fine. Thanks for watching
Please make a video explaining how to do it brotha! I need to do this to my 04 Suburban
Ok, I'm working on it. I'm going to release it after my next video
@@mikemane45I’ll be waiting my g…this is exactly want I need to do. I have my avh-110bt pioneer that I’m trying to connect with Bose as well
I get radio static doing this
You could have a set of speaker wires backwards, or it could be the radio itself
But do it work lol
Of course, why wouldn't it? Wiring a radio is pretty basic stuff for me.
😂
Tbh that looks sketchy af. If it works it works but it looks so bad
Over 2 years with no problem... I'll definitely say it works. I'm working on a full video for the install and a demo

Damn what a mess bro
I know, but with the install kit it's still a lot of wiring. This way is just $100 cheaper
