Ken Wilber - Dominant Monads and Dominant Modes of Discourse

How should we think about collective consciousness and experiences of selftranscendence within We-Spaces? One of the differences when contrasting the behavior of individuals to groups is that, other than in single organisms, there is no central point of agency within a group of people. There is no dominant monad (a concept borrowed from Leibniz and Whitehead). Unlike an individual holon that can act on some amount of individual will and autonomy - a dominant monad, social holons or collectives act on some sort of shared communication and mutual understanding - a dominant mode of discourse.
