I don't really get it though, am I supposed to play that using the pedal or something? Or is it just edited this way to make it fun but isn't supposed to be doable? I really like how it sounds :/
OMG wow, can't believe that was 5 years ago. I actually did learn it until 1:32 and even though I don't really play piano anymore these times I still remember and can play this piece quite well and people are always pretty impressed 😁

Ooh, I like this one a lot. Sorry if I am commenting a lot, but I just love piano so much, that I can't help myself. This one would be great to play to welcome summer. Perhaps what I will learn to do so.
Hey PianoREADER, I really enjoyed this song as for most of your Synthesia videos. I was wondering if I could make a suggestion which is "Album Leaf" by Claude Debussy. I really love that song and want to play it, but there is only one Synthesia tutorial for that piece. I mostly play by ear so I can't read sheet music. So can you please take my suggestion into consideration? Thank You.
How do I find the sheet music :( I cant find it anywhere :(. Does anyone know? Great song though love it! Always great job with your videos keep it up!!

@@how-tomania2089 I just found the Hawaiian Blues sheet music Thursday with other pieces of antique sheet music that my great grandparents had in Nebraska. Email me at mcollett@dslextreme.com and I'll send you the sheet music cover photos of the other items that I found. Also I would be willing to scan and email you a copy of this sheet music. Hope this helps.
I know a German movie called Traumschiff Surprise, wonder if a song of this particular movie is based on this Ragtime Piece. Anyways, shower to the left.... :D

@@eimsbush05my man, thank you so much for the sheet. I’m so sorry, it’s been a long time not reply your message, all I want to say is have a nice day to you!
I hope you guys are enjoying this lesser-known ragtime piece, there's a couple more on the way :)
hey, can you tell me how these weirds sounds are made? 3:06 for example
That effect is known as "pitch-bending" and it was edited into the MIDI file, probably to emulate the sounds of the Aloha-Oe song.
pianoREADER oh, i remember that I had something like this in my first keyboard now, thanks for response and effort for this channel:D
I like your lessons! Thank U from Russia :)
Lesser known is right, I can’t find sheet music of it anywhere, let alone a mention of the composer either
I've seen many people commenting on the "weird pitch bending". It's not there by mistake, but to give you an exotic feeling, if you know what I mean
those moments perfectly capture the sound of hawaii for me
It's that "magical" Hawaiian vibrato :)
I don't really get it though, am I supposed to play that using the pedal or something? Or is it just edited this way to make it fun but isn't supposed to be doable? I really like how it sounds :/
@@dalkap It was edited this way yea. No real way to do it on a piano unless it has a pitch bend. Even then it's difficult to do in real-time
@@HalValla01 Thank you very much! The piece is still really cool anyway :)
I started learning this
As someone who never took any piano lesson, this is a bit hard and long to learn, but I'm doing it little by little :)
did you learn it?

Such a strange thought such a peaceful song was composed and released at the height of the bloodiest war in human history was raging.
It was composed before the US joined WW1
@@mingyangyu770 I know
@@mingyangyu770 The US isn't the only important country in the world
@Samuel Lunde WW2 was more bloody, but still a great comment
i have heard that many great songs have been composed during hard times to lighten spirits
At 3:11, the notes aline to make a beautiful sound
Seems ahead of its time. Quite Marvelous!
A year later, and this piece is still incredible!! Thank you for providing these!!
I wish I could be pedalling this great
This Song Reminds Me When I Go To Thailand, Everybody Wears Black Shirts And Theres A Picture Of King Rama IX With That Jazz Music.

This is a great piece. I hadn't heard it before!!! I love it!
