Great vid. I do think omnific won because its so brightly colored, amazing lighting, fun surf, and timeless design. I would wager this as one of the top 3 maps of all time.

Can't believe I only just found you recently, I've been wanting a Wirtual for surf for the longest time. Such an underappreciated game mode... I'd love to see some videos on like "mapper's journeys" to see stuff like stories behind some of the most iconic maps and the surfers who made them

Hey Repster ! Love the content and the video ! Do you have any content that describes the difference between a good and excellent and elite surfer ? I have been surfing for years but it feels I have been hitting a ceiling, the only way Im "getting better" is actually trying the same map again and again and again. But I might have missed something :-)
I have one video that might help "This is Why You're Bad at Surf" (ignore the title lol) - it goes into depth on boarding, which is in my opinion the most important technique to master. However after that, its really just playing the same hard maps over and over lol. I think pros like cromalia would emphasize strengthening spacial awareness which comes from tech stuff, so if you havent tried a tech/gimmick/hard unit map you should do so.
I don’t remember the name, but a week ago I played a beautiful map. It had great fall colors in the beginning then some cool winter blues, onto a sludge green in a facility. Leaf columns being blown by fans. The map also had a really enjoyable surf. If anyone knows the name I would appreciate it!

you should join an empty server, type !nominate, and then rtv. otherwise you can just google say surf_angst and find it on Gamebanana, then play it offline or on Momentum Mod if you have it. the map may not be on a server when you search, as someone has to nominate it
If I were you, I'd join a server and try /nominate. this should pull up a list of maps. Some servers like GFL and surfheaven will also rank the maps by tier
@@Repster downloaded the tier two linear map interface. Got a surf config, it’s great to play although these old maps have a lot of edges thar get caught. Any help?
@@Skyrimpenguin you would need a plugin called rngfix or rampfix which only work on servers :( otherwise you can try Momentum Mod! I wouldn't recommend surfing offline.

Without full key access i dont think you can play multiplayer. csgo or css will probably be better for that
