The air filter housing top part bracket needs loosened/rotated to where you put air filter into it, and rain cap needs put in place of the air filter you added. I have 2 of these Donaldson air filter assemblies for my Kawasaki engines.
More than likely a lawn service company rode that thing hard and put it away wet. I've picked up a few machines with Kawasaki engines and I've always been really impressed with them. I'd hit him for $250. He obviously hasn't done much maintenance on the machine and a machine of that caliber costs to service.
Scag is a real zero turn mower. I work on them all the time. Your main concern should be the Donaldson air cleaner and making sure that everything is tight and secure. Keep pulling dirt into that Kawasaki FH engine and it will ruin it.
That is a lowes style fuel filter..i mow comercial it needs better feul filter there white and larger..proper hose match as well.i would bet his feulgrommets inlets 90 ,s degrees on the tanks wull be clogged to.and more cca batterie..fluid change and hydro service... and valves adjusted..long list..just had mine done..pick up lines as well
Sock for air cleaner, linkage disconnected, fuel pump pulse hose bad! Most lawn maintenance people at least do minimum maintenance. This guy does nothing but run it looks like.
Another huge red flag..he doesn't have a grass flap shoot .you cant mow professionaly without one..say hes hit alot of cars..thats first thing you do when getting a mower..i used to mow over a 100 acounts ..but do tree care now and reason i dont do that many is cant find long term help...your stuck mowing 24/7 year round..no days to do other jobs.or off..for maintenance..those mowers throw grasss and rocks real far..needs shoot block..i have 2. 48,s mowers ..

It takes an inner and outer air filter. Dirt infiltration will ruin the engine if it isn't installed correctly.

4200 hours is a flag for commercial use. When I shop for used mowers I stay away from and commercial used ones.
