This video showcases Hell Let Loose gameplay using Anti tank guns to destroy tanks on the beach along with long range kursk tank destruction. The Anti tank gun costs 50 supplies and is built by the AT.

I think k98 rounds are not explosive as the pak40 are
I just tried them out yesterday, these things are incredibly effective, even though they cant move.
Getting the supplies is the biggest hurdle honestly.
I was fortunate enough that I had a commander who supported the idea of AT gun spam, so he was dropping supplies in fantastic locations for Hurtgen Forest.
I've started using them on offensive maps as well, their low cost (I mean I can drop my own supplies if I absolutely must) to build and fire (just build your set of nodes after you cap the 1st point) at 5 munitions, means that you can inflict some heavy casualties on, and around control points that must be defended by virtue of the game mode.
I'm surprised they aren't used more, they cost so little and can cause so much damage if used correctly
@@Thorpie It’s a bit of grind to unlock them at level 6 anti-tank but they’re totally worth it.
@@imnotthattallatall It's level 3 AT to get the Anti tank class I believe. It's the second class that you get :)
@@Thorpie It's good against low armored Vehicles and infantry. But the Penetration is bad very bad. I can't even destroy a heavy Sherman tank from behind - _-
@@schwiizermatt2537 Would have to disagree, they are a tankers nightmare, AT guns can front penetrate tanks and kill them in 2-3 hits. Maybe your aiming too low / high.
the most unrealistic thing about this game is that someone actually brings you supplys with the support spec
Happens a lot on PC, just need some simple communication and you'll have your supplies. But I know what you mean :)
Find it better to be unrealistic at that point. It really safes your ass sometimes if you are a good squad, which should be rewarded.

Its very effective when you place the on the far flank to the defended point. It’s easy to destroy the tank with two hits and the armoured car with a one hit. I alsways place them between trees or next to the building to cover the cannon as much as possible to prevent it from being spotted by the tank commander or infantry.
Anyone using these should as a bare minimum communicate with leadership and make sure there nodes and munitions enough. I've seen people completely crippling a game using Arty or These.
Not true, 3 shots from at gun is 15 munitions cost, and precision strike to kill heavy tank is 250 munition cost.
Bombing run is 300 munitions and artilery shot is 3 munitions. SO you can shot 100 shots from artilery at a price of 1 bombing run and for sure you kill more from artilery.
It is commander that should communicate with rest of squad to use any of this cause most of the time its total waste.

My favorite way to use the PaK40 is to run around with a support and use it like direct fire artillery to assault positions/ambush tanks.
Literally the purpose of the StuG haha
@@greener266 I was talking about that the other day actually. I think a self propelled gun that occupies a role in between light medium or heavy tanks would be neat. Also i would like to see a Stalingrad snow map.

Iv played too many games where germans on dday dont put a pak down. Come on guys use those big guns
How they went from quite useful, to almost useless to overpowered. Escpacially on offensive maps, with two or three squads building them, you stand no chance as a tanker. Now imho they have to nerf them again :)
For sure, something needs to be changed on them.
Their main weakness is their vulnerability to small arms and explosions, get someone to mark one for artillery on most maps and then take it out

they must be use the Real Turret Turn Speed thats not the real one same on the thanks they are faster.
Meanwhile in enlisted you get shot while building anti tank Cannon because npc can detect you from mile away
Make sure you're breaking line of sight then lmao. Enlisted AT is pretty garbage either way unless you're doing ninja builds directly behind or to the sides of their tanks

Just a tactic on offensive for the beach. If you watched kursk you will see they also work on warfare :)
@@Thorpie Spawncamping is a tactic! And I've sat on that hill on Kursk spawncamping in a tiger, so I'm just as guilty.
But my point is that is a super idealised situation. They are much harder to use on other maps.
@@jamess2873 spawn camping is the wrong way of describing it. If I was spawn camping the enemy wouldn't have a chance to move, but as you can see the infantry is moving up the beach. The mode is intended to be that way and it's just a example of how one gun can change a game.
Pak need to be patched again.
Way too easy to build. Lvl 3, 50 supplies, build in few seconds.
And extremely overpowered. 2 shots frontal against heavy tanks (for IS for example).
Not good balanced.
PAKs werent that powerfull usually in the ww2. This was at the beginning.
Later, the german built new constructions, what has not much to do with a PAK.
You have need trucks or sdkfz to deploy or to turn their angle. And these paks were built in late war, while the wehrmacht was on their retreat.

100% agree with you mate, with a organised squad they can be way to easy to deploy and take a tank down. I think the devs have to look at making the reload slower or nerfing them some how 👍

The PAK was really useless before patch came out, in my opinion.
Only for ambush or trucks or scouttanks.

Maybe the same penetration, but less damage and a bit slower reloading.

@@Tafe1988 the problem that we are currently running into in HLL and I run a tank crew almost every day, is that these should not be able to pen heavies frontal armor and kill them in 2 shots if you manage to get behind or a side shot sure 2-3. Frontal damage should take 4-5 mainly because of current reload on AT guns, you can get 2 shots off before a heavy tank even reloads its first. Reload needs nerf and damage needs nerf in my honest opinion.

And shooting with a pak is sooo easy.
Closely no bulldrop, while the tank has to aim higher, the pak can aim in the center of the crosshair.
(So far i know, this was also in reality, that the bullet from the PAK had a higher speed, i think)
